Skylar yawned as she moved to take a seat, though she rested her head on the desk while she waited for class to start. She hoped she wasn't this tired for practice, but she figured her exhaustion would ebb away at least by lunchtime.

River began to take notes as the teacher started class. He was glad when the class ended though. He walked to lunch with his friends and sat down eating. River listened to Marcus talk about some girl he met the other day.

Skylar grabbed a tray and filled it with the foods she liked before she moved to join her friends. She'd come in time to listen to Marcus' story and she arched a brow as she glanced over. "Did you get her number?" she asked after a moment. "If you didn't get her number, don't bother bragging because you won't get anywhere with her," she teased lightly.

Marcus looked at Skylar, "Well duh." He said, laughing. He looked at River, "You shut your mouth." He said. River looked at him, "What?" He asked, smirking. Marcus stared at him, "I can see your asshole comments just brewing in there." Marcus said, laughing.

Skylar arched an eyebrow and glanced over at River. "I'm kind of curious about these asshole comments," she mentioned with amusement, "Go on, share. Even if it is at the expense of Marcus's ego."

River shook his head, "I really have nothing to say." He said, laughing. "I don't even know what girl he is talking about." He said.

"I don't believe you for a minute," Skylar said with a small shrug, though she focused in eating and fell silent as she thought. "Have you talked to her since meeting her, Marcus?"

Marcus looked at her, "Yea just a little bit." He said. River looked at Marcus as he talked then went back to eating his food. Once he was done he threw his trash away and rejoined his friends.

Skylar watched the group for a moment but soon finished her food. Moving to throw her trash away, she looked over when it was time to head back to classes.

River got up when it was time for class then went to class. He frowned as he walked towards his next class and Travis approached him and Marcus. Travis smiled, "So coach said if i wanted to join the team i had to ask you. Apparently you have pull around here." He said to River. River frowned, seeing Skylar walking towards them. "Sorry no." He said. Marcus looked at River, "What why?" He asked. River looked at Travis when he asked why as well. "Well for one half the team doesn't like you and you really aren't that good at soccer. I mean i don't think i've ever seen you play at all to be honest." He said.

Skylar paused in her steps when she spotted Travis. She didn't approach, worried that he'd recognize her if she got closer, if he hadn't recognized her at the party.

River sighed as Travis tried to argue that he was good at soccer. "Tell you want. Show up for practice today and if you do well then we can talk about it." He said, walking away from the boy. River walked over to Skylar, then turned her and walked away with her.

Skylar wasn't sure what had been said, but she was glad that River was getting her away. "What was that about?" she asked quietly as they walked, though she refrained from looking back towards the Travis.

River looked at her, "Well Travis wants to joint the soccer team." He said as the walked. "I have to at least let him try or he is gonna get suspicious. I don't think i have ever seen him play." He said, frowning as they walked.

"What? Why would he want to join?" Skylar asked with confusion. Travis had never really shown interest in soccer, except to attend Skylar's games when they had been together.

River shrugged, "I don't know. That's why i was confused. Does he even play soccer?" He asked as they walked to their room. Once they were inside, he shut the door locking it. He sighed as he set his bag down. They had an hour til practice.

"No. He only ever showed interest in soccer when I played," Skylar said with a frown as she moved to sit on her bed. "It doesn't make any sense."

River looked down at her, "He knows about you.. He has to. We know he doesnt want to join because he likes me and Marcus. Maybe he's gay. We could only hope thats the reason." He said, laughing.

Skylar frowned at the mention of it and looked away. "I hate this," she muttered. "It's not fair. Why does he have to ruin everything?"

River shrugged, "We will figure something out. Coach won't put him on the team unless i put in a good word. Though if Travis is really good, then i have no say in the matter." He said, looking over at her.
