Logan got out opened her door and took her hand helping her out. He kissed her hand and smiled at her. "I would never force you Harper, I just know my limits for beauty and where I could get really awkward. That is not a situation I want to put you in just yet." he said and kissed her hand again. "Let me walk you to your room." he said and smiled softly walking with her inside the house then down the hall to her room. He stood there smiling. "Good night fair maiden." he half teased.
Alex looked at him in the rearview mirror with more questions. "The point is that someone was... killed at the party and I was quite worried for your life Abagail." he said and Abby looked over at Carter and squeezed his hand. "Does anyone know anything? What happened?" she asked and Alex actually turned to look at her as if she might reveal something. "No they haven't yet but his parents are putting up a reward for information. Abbigail..." he paused looking at Carter worry in his eyes. "It was your friend..." he said and Abby frowned looking down. "Oh." she said and tried very hard not to let anything show but she looked upset for a reason only Carter knew because that friend had tried to rape her.

Harper nibbled on her lip as she let him help her from the car. Lifting her eyes to him she nodded understanding that he was a man with wants and needs. And right now she wasn't meeting those, but he's be so patient with her. Feeling her hand nestle in his warm grasp she followed him through the mansion. She smiled at him as he teased her, pulling her hand from his. She grabbed the knob to her door, "thank you for tonight." She told him.
Carter looked at Abby knowing that she wasn't upset because he was dead. But for the fact he tried to rape her. Lifting his eyes to look at Alex through the rear view. He shook his head giving him a warning not to continue with the conversation. He wasn't about to out himself for killing the man. If there wasn't any proof of his involvement then he wasn't going to bring it up. Gripping her hand tighter he wanted to let her know he was here for her. He would have pulled her into his arms, but that would raise some questions. And after everything that's happened he knew it was best to let her have time to herself.

Logan grinned as she thanked him and he nodded. "It was more then my pleasure." he said and half considered bowing. She brought out chivalry in him and he knew that was why he had fallen for her. Because he was a selfish and rash man but with her he was different. He made her something better. Logan sighed as she slipped into her room then he turned and headed to his. He grinned as he got to his room. He stripped off and went to take a cool shower needing to calm down enough for sleep.
Abby didn't look up until she knew her eyes would be dry. She wouldn't cry because those around her kept hurting her. People felt with that all the time. No she would continue on and be grateful for those in her life who where true. Abby squeezed Carter's hand back gently and then looked up at him her eyes guarded and on fire. She held a determination inside of her that kept her going no matter how hard her life had been. At least now she had an entire day that had been filled with wonder and love. It had been the most wonderful day she had ever had and it was all thanks to Carter. "Alex." she sat up squaring her shoulders. "We need to set up a meeting with the Logan Hart and his ward Harper. I will not leave town until Carter has a chance to say goodbye." she said and squeezed Carter's hand once more then took her hand back and placed it in her lap. On the outside she looked emotionless and completely collected but inside she was a bundle of emotions and insecurities. She wanted to give Carter the freedom to have his emotions about how they where leaving town for good and he would most likely never see his sister again.

Harper smiled at him before tucking into her room. Closing the door behind her she rested against it. She was wore out, more so than she could have imagined from taking in a show. She wondered what this man was doing to her. She'd never felt anything like this before. Deciding it would be best to wash the nights events off she headed straight for the shower. Stripping the dress off she slipped into the shower before turning the water on and letting it cascade down her body. Taking down her hair while she relaxed into the water. Today was something she'd always remember. It seemed like it was a turning point for them. The feelings for him were surfacing and she didn't know what was happening. Though still there was a nagging in the back of her mind telling her she was betraying her brother. And as annoying as it was and at times she wanted to shut it up. It was right. She fell asleep thinking over that. How if she stayed with Logan much longer she'd betray everything her brother fought so hard to build for them. But she didn't know how to fight it or if she wanted to. Logan was a completely different man around her, and she felt things for him she'd never felt before. Sitting up in bed she groaned not liking the fact she couldn't sleep. She looked at the clock beside her noticing the time was five am. Sighing she figured she wouldn't be sleeping much even if she did try and settle back down. Getting up she headed for the bathroom, deciding to get a start on the day. Though she knew it wouldn't be anything like yesterday, she still felt hopeful.
Carter watched as Abby addressed Alex, he didn't like seeing this side of her. But he knew very well that this was how she was expected to act. He could see Alex lower his gaze from the mirror. The man didn't like it any more than him. He knew that at times like this Alex's was reminded that she wasn't his child, but his boss. "Yes ma'am." He muttered out, the effect evident in his voice. "I'll make a call as soon as we arrive." He informed her, having collected himself a bit more. He knew not to argue. When her mother wasn't around it was Abby that was in control. And as long as it didn't interfere with her safety then he would comply. Alex took a quick peek at Carter in the mirror, his eyes held curiosity. He wondered just what this man had done to make Abby trust him so fast. Knowing that she'd never been so easily persuaded to act out against her mother's wishes. And this would be something that women would never find out about. Carter rested back into his seat his body relaxed as his mind stayed alert. That was one thing he'd completely forgotten. He was suppose to be protecting her, yet he'd let his guard down and could have put her in trouble. But now it was like he clocked back in and went back to work. Though he didn't like it. He liked her being carefree and enjoying life. Not running all the time. But for that to happen she'd have to face her attackers straight on. But from what he could tell she didn't know.

Logan was up at his usual six in the morning and spent his hour awakening with coffee and a book in his room before dressing and heading to the kitchen to visit the cooks to see what they had discovered that might please Harper. He smiled as he walked in and was surprised to hear Harper had already been in that morning. He ate his food they made for hi then went to look for her. He wondered if she had found something to entertain her. He ran a hand through his hair smiling at the thought of coming into a room and seeing her engrossed in something. He wanted everything from Harper but mostly he wanted to make her happy above all else. He knew the life she had once dreamed for herself was probably unobtainable now but he hoped to give her a beautiful life in return for stealing the other one. He regretted it now but he had been so panicked she wouldn't give him a chance and he had tried. He could see now how spoiled he had been acting. He had been cold and callous and if he got the chance he would have to apologize to Harper's brother. Regardless if he wouldn't accept it and he was almost curtain that would be the case. Once Logan finally found Harper he smiled slipping quietly into the room observing her first before clearing his throat lightly. "Good morning." He said satisfied with he little start he had given her at his sudden appearance.
Abby bit her lip looking out the window hearing the silence of the car like a weight on her heart. She sat there in the silence alone even as she was surrounded by people not letting the emotions inside of her affect her. She couldn't, she had to control herself as she always had been told to. Only now she could hold onto that little sliver of light, hope and freedom that she had in her memories. It was all that was keeping her going at the moment. Once the car stopped and they had arrived at the little barren apartment she walked inside and straight into her room going and showering putting on the cloths that had been laid out for her. Once she was ready she walked out and looked at Alex. "News on Mr. Heart and Ms. Harper?" she asked her eyes glazed over having cut herself off from emotions. It was what se needed to do right now to get through this. She could feel Carter's eyes on her as he tried to penetrate her shell with his eyes but she didn't look at him, she couldn't. Now was the time to get things done and if Carter was going to run, if he needed to he needed to do it now because if he did it would be the only way to make sure he could run and keep her safe because they where finishing packing now. She wouldn't be coming back, not any time soon.

Stepping from the bathroom Harper brushed her hand along her dress. Her mind going over things that happened the night before. She was really anxious to see Logan. After everything she'd thought over last night she knew that it could make thing awkward. But she new she felt something for him. And it was worth testing the waters, even if her brother wouldn't approve. But then again Logan's plan was for them to wed, so shouldn't she at least except her fact and know that even if it was betraying her brother. After all she would have to spend the rest of her life with this man, or until he tired of her. But she didn't like to think about that. Shaking her thoughts off she head down to the dinning room, knowing the chef would have prepared her breakfast. And seeing as she was venturing out more she didn't expect her food in her room anymore. Smiling at the food that was laid out on the table, the smell wafting to meet her nose. She was famished and could feel her saliva pooling in her mouth. Settling down at the table she peered to the seats next to her noticing her spot was the only one set. Which meant that Logan had either eaten already or his food was taken to his room. She felt slightly disappointment, knowing he wasn't going to be eating with her. Shoving the thought to the back of her mind she started to pile food on her plate. Jolting to a stop she turned to peer behind her, noticing Logan standing in the room. "Good morning." She said softly. Knowing that she was a bit startled, but after thinking about him so much. Having him here now made her feel a bit nervous.
Carter awoke the next morning feeling like he'd been hit by a truck. The last couple of days his fight or flight mode had been triggered. And he knew that running wasn't an option. He needed to see Harper, and Abby was his ticket to do so. So even if he didn't agree to the rules and regulations around this place. He needed to suck it up for his sisters sake. Though yesterdays events had him thinking that it wouldn't be so bad as to being around. But he knew that they'd never be able to be like that again. They might be able to sneak off and have some fun, but it wasn't going to happen any time soon. After getting dressed he headed out to find Alex. He could tell that Abby was still sound fully sleeping in her room. Once he located Alex he knew the questions would come flying, since she wasn't around to silence them. But he was able to at least put something on his stomach while the man fired questions and rather rude comments his way. Though he took it in strife, knowing that the man was angry because he was left out of any and all decisions yesterday. "Why don't you ask her." He told the man, knowing that nothing he said would ever calm him down, or be good enough an answer. He smiled lightly when Abby entered the room, mostly thankful that now Alex would leave him alone. But he was also happy to see her. Though the moment she asked Alex about his sister, his smile faltered. He felt his heart jump into his throat, and his body started to crave air as he waited. Alex threw the man a glare before turning and offering Abby a curt smile. "Mr. Hart is expecting us." He said though you could tell his whole being hated the idea of her going anywhere near that man. Carter let out the breath he'd be holding and looked at Abby, he wanted to hug and kiss her, show her just how much he appreciated her. But he knew that it wasn't something he'd be able to get away with. She was off limits to him, but it wouldn't stop him.

Logan smiled. "Hey." he said and smiled as she looked at him and he came in sitting across from her. "Eat up we have a big day today." He said and watched her then looked around the room because he assumed she would wan to be cared at while she ate. "How did you sleep?" he asked and tried to make easy conversation. He thanked a maid as she brought in coffee for him. He sipped it glade to have something in his hands and to pause between talking and listening. He knew he needed to tell her but he didn't know how this would affect her attitude towards him and he was a little nervous. Her brother would still hate him and even if it was best for his sister to let her be happy with him he might cause a scene. Logan couldn't think of a way to prevent it. He would try to give them some privacy though at some point. Maybe Ms. Asher would take a walk with him as they let the siblings catch up. He knew if she ran he would have to let her. This was a big day indeed. Logan finally worked up the courage and after she had told him about her sleep and he nodded mumbling a correct response he finally blurted it out, sounding calm as usual like it was no big deal but he was anything but calm inside. "At eleven we are meeting your brother at Cafe Gollonza." He said and leaned back in his chair watching how the information sank in.
Abby smiled gently and placed a hand on Alex's arm understanding his concern. "Thank you Alex." she said and kissed his cheek before she walked over making herself something to eat. Since Carter had pointed it out that one day that Alex was more like her father she had started to understand the man and respect him more, even as she tried to push him to let her out of the nest he had built for her since she was a kid. Abby realized she thought of him as her father too because more then her own father he had been there and protected her from when she was small. Even before all of this. He had been the first to accept what she was and she had been grateful for it. "We will leave shortly after breakfast to meet with them." Abby said turning and watched Alex huff out of the room. She sighed setting her food next to Carter and sat down. Her wall cracked enough for him to see the dispart and worry there. Today was the day she would find out just what Carter actually wanted. She bit her lip her hunger really waning as she thought about today and the possible outcomes. Carter still didn't know why he was guarding her. Why she was trying to be killed by even her own family. He hadn't asked though she had tried to give him the power her mother had taken away from him. This was his life too and she was insistent that he feel like he had some option in all this because he was the first person she felt could ever truly understand her even if he didn't know. She finally took a bite then set her fork down pushing her plate away. She wasn't hungry anymore having twisted herself up into a frenzy in her own mind. She placed a gentle hand on Carter's and smiled at him their eyes meeting but her smile not meeting her eyes. She stood and left the room before the tears could push through her wall. Abby went and finished packing her things, the ones she insisted packing herself.

Harper furrowed her brows as he said they had a big day, she wanted to question him. But when he questioned her sleeping she felt her stomach lurch and she knew she'd have to lie to him. "It was fine." She told him smiling softly, before turning back to her food. She watched him as he sipped on his coffee, something felt off. She was letting her mind run wild with her insecurity. But did her best to ignore what hadn't been said, lifting a bite to her mouth she chewed on it slowly knowing that the atmosphere was tense and turning her stomach, putting her off of eating. She lifted her gaze to him as he started to speak, her mouth running dry as he mentioned her brother. She couldn't even comprehend what was said, as she stared at him in complete and utter shock. Her mind wanted to explode, she wasn't sure weather she wanted to get up and hug him or if she should scream out in happiness. Blinking she looked back down at her plate, still in shock. She cleared her throat, "Thank you." She muttered out softly, barely able to muster that.
Carter watched as Abby toyed with her food, he really wanted to say something. Though no words would come, he was over joyed he'd get to see his sister. But he was torn about his feelings for Abby. They were dancing around it and he hated that. He needed to know where he stood before he could full commit to her. And as much as he wanted to say he wouldn't run, he couldn't. Just one word from Harper and he wouldn't look back, but he didn't know what would happen. Watching as she exited the room. He stood, pacing the room. Sighing he knew that he couldn't just let things stay like this with Abby. And if he was to run then he wanted to at least have a proper good bye. Standing in the door way of her room he watched as she packed up her stuff. Really he was working up the nerve to just talk to her. "You okay?" He asked her, watching as she jilted from him scaring her. Smiling he moved to her, he could tell by the look on her face what she had to say wasn't anything short of okay. Moving to her he pulled her into his arms, hugging her close to his body. The things she had to endure the past few days were weighing on his mind. He cupped her cheek before tilting her head up. "Things will get better." He informed her, before pressing his lips to hers. He knew that if he had to ever run. She'd go with him, they could have a life she'd never had before.

Logan nodded once at her appreciation. "Ms. Asher said that visits will not be possible for a long time after today so she wanted to be sure you two had a chance..." He stood. "After you are finished we will leave." he said and walked to the door. "When you are ready I will be in my study." he said and then walked out needing the space between them. Both from his emotions to ebb and for her to be able to think clearly. Logan sighed as he sank into his chair a light headache starting to pulse in his temple. He rubbed it and looked at the work there on his desk then closing his eyes and sinking further in his chair. If his mother could see him she would scold him for slouching. If ever there was a time to slouch it was now with the impending day ahead of him.
Abby was working herself into why she would be better without Carter because she didn't expect him to say when he got a spare moment with Harper. He had been stolen from her, forced to protect her and torn away from his family. She couldn't expect him to stay, no one should be. She jumped hearing his voice. She stood there with her back turned to him and smoothed her cloths into the suitcase. She heard him move into the room and she looked up at him. She was really trying to hold it together but he looked at her like he was seeing through her and it made her feel better with made her feel worse because he was the only one who could do that to her. He pulled her into him and she hesitated before holding onto him her hands gripping his shirt slowly with more desperation. She held him tightly until he lifted her face tears brimming in her eyes. She felt them spill over as his lips met hers. She kissed him back shaking by the time he pulled his mouth from hers. She looked down and shook her head hair falling into her face. "I wished I believed you but your words say something different from your actions."Abby paused the silent heavy. "Why do I feel like you are saying goodbye?" she looked up at him and smiled sadly. She pulled back and hugged herself. "It's okay Carter..." she said after a moment and bit her bottom lip as she pushed her wall back into place. "I will be safe." she touched his arm then zipped up her bag and walked out of the now empty room. She set her bag by the others in front of the door. "Alex is everything set up?" she asked.
Alex came into the room looking at her. He knew she was sad but he didn't understand why. "Yes ma'am." he said and his security team he had for today's excursion came in grabbing the bags and escorted her to the car. All waited for Carter. He knew the dangers but there was one thing he had to say to the boy. When Carter walked out Alex put a arm out in his path before he could pass. "If you hurt her so help me I will break ever rule and every law to find you and put you down. You have no idea how special she is." he said and looked at Carter with so much fatherly protection no one could be angry with him not when he was protecting Abagail.

Harper watched as he left the room, she was still in shock so she couldn't demand to leave now. So as the door closed she relaxed into the chair, her mind racing as she tried to calm herself down. She needed to focus and sort her thoughts. After all her brother held so much of her heart, yet Logan was creeping in and stealing it along with her mind and soul. She knew that she couldn't lose herself when falling for a person. But what she remember of her parents was her mother's words of her love of her father. 'I love him with all of my heart and soul.' Harper used to think it was so beautiful loving someone so deeply that your love for them consumed your soul. But as she grew she found more comfort in their words as she knew that if their souls loved each other as much as she claimed, then they would find each other again, in death or another life. Standing she sighed before taking a drink of her orange juice. As hard as it was she knew what she had to do. Turning and leaving the room she headed straight for Logan's study. Tapping lightly on the door she waited until he answered, before stepping in. Smiling at him gently, "I'm going to slip on my shoes, then I'm ready." She told him, before slipping back out of the door. She knew that if she strayed any longer she would have caved and rush to comfort him. But she had to stay strong and stick to her decision. Which was talk to her brother.
Carter opened his mouth to respond but couldn't muster any words. She was right things may never get better. He watched her leave the room, leaving him rooted in his spot, unsure where his heart lay. Biting his lip he felt his mind wanting to break, he'd never been good at this sort of thing. Protecting someone was easy for him, taking care of someone was easy. But dealing with feelings wasn't something he did well. Sighing he collected himself the best he could before exited the room. He damn near ran into Alex but did his best to ignore the man, but when his arm blocked his path he turned his glaring face to look at the man. The one thing Carter hated more than people owning him, was threatening him. Grabbing the mans arm he released some of his power, not much but enough to make the man hit his knees. Leaning down he whispered into his ear. "I'd love to see you try." He growled out, before releasing him and standing back up. "I know just how special she is, one of the reason why I've made her happier than you ever could." He glared at him. "And I did it in one day. Because I cared enough to listen to her." He snapped, "so think about what your threat would do to her." He said before walking around the man and heading straight for Abby.

Logan looked up at the knock and sighed. "Come in." He said and looked over Harper as she walked in. He nodded once as she said she was about ready. He stood and grabbed his jacket. "I will meet you down at the front door." he said and watched her go. She seemed less in shock now. He guessed she had a plan, when ever it was she had a plan. Logan walked down the stairs and had the car brought around. Just the two of them today. He thought this would be best. When Harper came down he lead her out to the car and opened her door for her. He slipped into the drivers side and drive into town. He parked and sat back looking at her. He took her hand and kissed it gently. "Are you ready?" he asked and then nodded and slipped out of the car. He opened her door helping her out. She looked like a beautiful woman now, not the kid she use to be. She had always been impressive to him but she was more impressive to everyone now.
Alex sighed from his knees. "And with one decision you could destroy her more than anyone else." he said as the man walked away knowing he could hear him. Alex collected himself then slid into the car.
Abby didn't look over as Carter slid into the car. She was all buckled up and ready for them to go. Abby looked out the window when Alex slipped in. She sighed and then rolled the window down relaxing into the breeze that flooded into the car. She closed her eyes and was silent through the drive the war of emotions going through her head. The drive wasn't to long but they went from a fairly decent side of town to a very classy and pompous side of town. She looked at Carter now and was glad that they had gotten him cloths. He would need to fit in here for now and so would she. They parked and walked down the side of the street. Alex walked behind them a good distance. "Would you mind if I met your sister?" Abby asked looking at the concrete as she walked beside Carter.

Harper pulled on her boots, before then heading to the front door. She was surprised when she gotten such a cold greeting. Exiting the house she smiled seeing the car, it was just going to be the two of them. She felt a bit relieved he would be the only one to see her fall apart. She knew that seeing her brother would be a rather tearful event. Once she was secure in her seat she looked over at him offering him a small smile. "Yeah, I think so." She told him, she could already feel herself tearing up and she hadn't even seen her brother yet.
Carter hated that Alex was right, he knew that with the short time they've know each other the connection they had was already deep. He followed pursuit as they headed to the car, settling in as they drove. He wanted more than anything to talk to Abby, but he knew she couldn't risk Alex over hearing. After all they had agreed to keep things secret. Sighing he could feel the tension in the car. But no one made an effort to change it. Once the car stopped he got out and met Abby on the sidewalk. He knew that he was to remain close to her at all time. But this time he'd have to let Alex take the lead. As his mind wandered of the possibilities he furrowed his eyes at her question. "Of course, I would like that very much." He told her before opening the door for her, he waited until the waiter lead them to their outdoor seating. He was surprised at the setting, but it was something Logan would do, there was plenty of room for him and his sister to have their privacy. Leading Abby to a bench he sat down beside her. Now all they had to do was wait.

Logan nodded. He handed her a purse. He had money a phone and a few other girly things in there. He couldn't pack her a bag as if expecting her to run from her and telling her it was okay but this he could do without it seeming to be much of anything. "Afterwords we can go shopping if you like." he said and walked her to the restraint. He asked is the Asher party had arrived yet and they nodded. Logan took Harper's hand and kissed it again looking at her. "Here we go." he said and then let her hand go then walked out into he outdoor seating. He let Harper go first as Carter came into view. He looked well. Abigail must be making sure to take care of him. It was good for Harper to see. Logan nodded at Abby and she gave one in return her legs crossed and her hands elegantly laid in her lap. She was a vision but even with her polished outside her eyes raged like green storms. He sat down. He would wait until there was a moment for him to apologize. Despite his reluctance to he knew he was wrong to behave how he had.
Abby had just ordered a water and an appetizer for the table when Harper and Logan appeared. She stood as they approached and then sat. Logan had assured they would have the entire outdoor seating area cleared. Abby watched and sat as the sibling greeted one another. She and Logan greeted each other silently. Abby thanked the waiter as he set both things down and she took some hummus and washed it down. She had essentially skipped breakfast and it was catching up with her now. She set her water down and looked at Carter. She was happy for him. She could feel his relief seeing his sister.

Harper looked at the purse that Logan handed her, she wasn't sure what was in there. But she chose to ignore it, her brother was waiting on her. Nibbling on her lip she followed after Logan, she didn't hear a word he said. She just felt the kiss to her hand, which drew her attention to him. A part of her wanted to reach out and hold him, kiss him. But she was afraid that if she did then she'd lose her composure. And right now she could have that. Stepping past Logan her eyes landed on Carter. Blinking back the tears that threaten to fall she rushed to him, throwing her arms around his neck and pulling him close. She could feel his arms securing her there, not that she minded. A sob broke from her body as she felt the tear burst forward. She'd never been without her brother. So this was the worst thing she'd had to endure. Not that it had been all entirely bad.
Carter couldn't believe his eyes, the moment Harper stepped into the room it was like he was looking at a changed person. Logan's lifestyle suited her well, though he felt anger toward the man, he couldn't act on it. He blinked and before he knew it his sister had launched herself into his arms. Holding her close he did his best to soothe her, knowing the time they had was limited. And he needed to know if she was capable of holding it together long enough for them to actually talk. "Hey, long time no see kido." He teased her, chuckling softly. It was the best he could muster himself trying not to break down. Once she finally settled he pulled back lightly, wiping her tears away. "That's better." He told her smiling as she pushed him off of her. "Harper this Abby and Alex." He introduced the people she'd never met before, before they sat down. He watched as his sister and Abby spoke to one another. He was relieved that his sister actually liked Abby.

Logan smiled softly as Harper hugged her brother. He could see Carter glare at him and didn't blame him. He had kidnaped and basically torchered him before selling him into basically slavery though it seemed to be working out for him just fine with Abigail. He sat back as he watched Abigail and Harper talk. They seemed to be hitting it off. No ill feelings there between them. It was good to see. Logan looked at Carter then away. It hardly seemed the time. Besides he seemed to be watching the girls as if he was bring two halves together. So Logan let them all have this moment in silence like Alex.
Abby blushed watching the tearful reunion and she had to look away and blink back tears of her own. She wished someone would miss her that much if they didn't see her for a while. She bit her lip wondering if that would ever happen for her. But then she had thought that many times and Carter had been one to make a lot of those thoughts come true. She looked back as they sat down and smiled at Harper as she was introduced. "Hello it's nice to meet you." she said and as soon as her hand met she felt relaxed. Abby smiled bigger and seemed to relax more. Even as their hands parted Abby's mood seemed to be lifted and she was able to be more involved with the group. She didn't know what it was but she could guess if Carter had strong powers than perhaps his sister did as well.

Harper wiped her eyes again, as she talked to Abby. She was surprise with how at ease she was. It made her heart swell to know her brother had been with someone taking care of him. They had so much to talk about and she knew that she didn't want to speak about it in front of everyone. But it seemed like they weren't going to be left alone for a bit. So she did her best to include the others in their talk. Though it seemed Abby was the only one that cared to avoid the awkward silence. Which cause her to lift her gaze to Logan, catching him looking at her. She couldn't help but smile at him, she could tell that he wasn't liking this to much. But she knew it was his personal battle and she wasn't interfering because she couldn't tell him what he wanted to hear. He was at fault and she would only make him feel worse. "So Logan said you'd be moving, are you excited?" She asked Abby, she felt her brother tense next to her. She wasn't sure if it was because she'd spoke about a touchy topic or if it was the fact she spoke about Logan so casually.
Carter did his best to ignore any remark Harper made that dealt with Logan, he wasn't to happy with the man. But he knew that he had question that needed answered and she wasn't going to answer them with everyone around. Not that he minded having Abby around, the two women seemed to get alone great. Something he was thankful for. But it wouldn't be like this always. Biting on his lip he listened to the responses from Abby. He leaned forward and grabbed his drink taking a sip from it. Before returning back to battling for attention. "You seem pale." He said once the girls conversation died down. He knew she was a nature lover, so he figured she'd been cooped up inside. Though also part of him was hoping for Logan to speak, just so he could punch him in his face.

Abby smiled as she asked about moving. "Well it will be nice to have a change." she said and placed her hand on top of Carter's. "I think Carter will like this place more than the last." she said and smiled gently at him. They fell back into silence and she finished her drink and a little more food until Carter's question loomed in the air. That was their queue. Abby smiled softly. "Carter I think Alex and I will take a little walk." she placed her hand on his again then turned and looked up into his eyes. She smiled softly even though her eyes swam with tears. She leaned in and pressed her lips to his cheek. She pressed her cheek to his and stayed there a moment until she felt stable. Abby stood and looked at Abby leaning in and hugging her. "It was a pleasure to meet you." Abby said and smiled then stood and looked at Logan. "Logan would you like to join me?" she asked and he nodded. He placed a hand on Harper's arm then kissed her temple. "If you need me call me." he said his eyes sayin more than his words. Logan stood then joined Abagail. He walked out with her to the street and they started down towards the park.

They had been walking through the park when suddenly the earth around them began to shake. Abagail turned pale as Logan watched her turn in circles. Alex was unstable but shooting out orders on his radio. Abagail trembled as six figures closed in on them, three from each side. Abagail looked from one direction to the other. Alex drew his gun and fired but the bullet just dropped to the ground then so did Alex screaming. "Stop it! Please!" Abagail yelled. Logan frowned. He didn't understand what was happening but then it clicked. These where the Meta everyone was scared of. The reason for all the mistreatment. "It's illegal to use your powers against a Pura." Logan said and suddenly he felt like the entirety of the planet's gravity was being focused on him. Some one tried to grab Abagail's arm. She ripped it out arguing with the person. The pressure left Logan and it took him a while to figure out how to move again. He slowly stood and it felt like someone punched him in the gut and right in the jaw. He groaned and spit out some blood. He whipped blood from his split lip. "Fucker can't even fight me like a real man." Logan growled.

Abby was arguing with the leader of the group. "Come on you are the link. We need you to come with us. We will show those fucking Puta that they are no better than us." The young man with the gravity powers said to her. "No. I am not a weapon to use at your connivance." Abby said and he tried to grab her again. "I rather not knock you unconscious like your friend here." He said pointing to Alex. Abby shook her head. "You can try." she said and he stepped back and she dodge the field of gravity he was trying to place over her. "Fuck you're fast aren't you." The man said and Abby came up behind him and pushed him. Abby isn't know how to fight, not really. She had been raised to be peaceful. Logan came over and hit the man in the face and he fell to the ground. "Shoving really?" he asked and then groaned as he was hit by something that seemed invisible. Abby could see the way the light shimmered wrong over something and she scooped up from dirt and tossed it over the figure. "There you are you fucker." Logan said and started to fight back against the man. Abby turned just as a woman came up beside her and took her hand electricity flowing through her. Abby screamed falling to her knees. It took her a moment to adjust but when she stood the woman frowned. "You shouldn't be able..." Abby pushed her back and the woman yelled out in a language Abby did not know, at the inviable figure who turned and ran towards them Logan following. The woman stepped up and placed a hand on Logan making him fall to his knees clenching his teeth refusing to scream. The man started to come at Abby with fists flying and Abby began the dance of dodging them.

Harper looked at her brother as he pointed out her skin tone. She knew that he wasn't used to seeing her lacking in color. But being cooped up in a house really wasn't something she could avoid. Until she proved to Logan she wouldn't run he'd never let her out of his house. She didn't say anything knowing it would just start an argument. And she was very thankful for Abby speaking up about leaving them to speak alone. Her eyes fixed on them as Abby kissed his check. She could tell this wasn't what the woman wanted, letting the alone. She was afraid of him leaving. Harper felt her heart ache for the woman, she knew what it was like. Though her attention was pulled away when Logan appeared next to her, his lips on her skin. She closed her eyes remembering how sweet he'd been lately. She smiled up at him and nodded, "I will." She told him, watching as he exited the room. Her attention quickly being pulled back to her brothers disapproving face. Once they were alone he tilted his head, the way he did when he was about to get onto her. "What the hell was that?" He asked motioning towards the door where Logan had left. "Don't start." She told him, putting her hands up to stop any more talk about it. "We've got a lot to talk about, so keep your judgmental comments to yourself." She huffed out to him. "Do you love him?" He asked her firmly, knowing that if her heart belonged with Logan then he'd allow her to stay. He could tell that she was being treated well. "I don't even know what love is." She told him, before placing her head in her hands. "Please lets not talk about that." She told him, she really wanted to catch up and talk, not jump right to the niddy griddy. She bit her lip as he got quite. She knew that he wanted to have his questions answered, but it was going about it all the wrong way for her.

Carter knew that he was pissed off at the display of owner ship Logan displaced by kissing his sister. Once she snapped at him he did his best to calm down. Closing his eyes he took in a deep breath. Letting his mind wander to something else, Abby. He couldn't get his mind off of her. Feeling like someone dump cold water over his back he stood up quickly. "Come on, we need to go." He told her, before grabbing her hand. Quickly dragging her out of the shop and off in the direction of Abby. He could feel the confusion from Harper but he didn't dare explain it. He just knew he'd promised to protect her and he was failing to do so. Letting go off her hand he broke out into a run. His eyes finally locked on Abby, though what he was seeing shouldn't be possible. Her movements were to fast for a humans. Stopping in his tracks it dawned on him, that's why she's in hiding. Not waiting for an invitation to the fight, he quickly set to work. The person attacking Abby was his first priority, sneaking up behind him he grabbed their head before snapping his neck. "Are you okay?" He asked Abby pulling her closer to him. His eyes sweeping the area locating Harper. She wasn't much of a fighter but she had managed to take an attacker down as well.

Abby looked up as the body dropped at her feet. She saw Carter and knew if he was here then he had seen. She nodded when he asked if she was okay. She was well enough. Abby was breathing hard her lip and eye a little swollen and her eyebrow bleeding dribbling down her cheek. She other wise looked unharmed. Logan had taken out another guy but was still dodging the girl with he electric shock until someone called for her in that strange language. She turned and the two of them ran off. Logan stooped by a body and rolled them over. "Just unconscious." he said and Abby nodded. She gasped and ran to Alex's side. She turned him over and checked his pulse looking him over relaxing with a sigh. He would need medical attention but he was okay. Abby sat down right there Alex's hand in hers as she stared off. She couldn't believe it. A radical group wanted to use her existence for their cause by any means necessary, even killing those around her and kidnapping.

Logan walked up to Harper. "Are you alright?" he asked and rubbed her arms. He had seen her join them and it had worried him more than anything else. He looked up seeing Carter walking towards them. He stepped back and put his hands up. "Carter look I'm sorry for what I did I know it was wrong now. I'm sorry it took me so long to figure that out."

Carter stepped towards Abby, only to have her dash off towards Alex. He moved to her bending down with her. He panted Alex's body down locating his keys. "We need to get out of here." He told her, "lets go." He told her. Brushing his hand along her shoulder as he stood. "He's going to fine, we but if they come back we won't." He told her, "it's safer that way." He said doing his best to get her to listen to him. He turned to find Harper, though his blood started to boil when he noticed Logan's hands on her. He'd forgotten what he was doing, and now all he wanted was to crush the life out of the man before him.

Harper smiled at Logan as he checked on her safety. "I'm fine." She told him, her hand moving up to brush along his cheek. She noticing the way he reacted when her brother was around. He was on edge and when she looked to her brother she could see him moving towards them his face set with anger. "Carter." She said as he stepped up beside her, Logan having backed away. His words were sweet but they meant nothing now. And nothing Harper could say would stop Carter's rage.

Spitting on the ground he showed Logan what he thought of his apology. He grabbed the man by his shirt and pulled him closer. "You're lucky I won't kill you in front of her." He growled, but that didn't stop his fist from colliding with the mans face. His body was ablaze, and his furry was let out through his fist. He didn't seem to want to stop. It wasn't until Harper pulled him back from the man, that he realized just what he was doing. "Stop." She pleaded with him. Then turned to face Logan's tattered and bloody face. Kneeling down beside him. She was afraid to touch him, not wanting to hurt him any more. "I'm so sorry." She sobbed to him, lifting her hand she gently brush back some of his hair. "Please forgive me?" She whispered out before placing a kiss to his forehead, then leaning in and kissing his lips.
