Harper nibbled on her lip looking down hearing his declaration of when they'd take that step. He soon changed the conversation which she was grateful for. "I think it's prefect." She smiled at him taking the glass from him. "Thank you." She said softly, she knew it was over due. But she felt like she needed to thank him for a lot more than the drink. After all he'd done a lot more for her then any one other than Carter. "So will you wait until we are married?" She asked, knowing that she couldn't get it off her mind. She'd feared him taking that from her and she just wanted clarity. She knew that it was hard enough living with a woman but not touching her. She knew they still had along ways to go before any of his wants happened. But he was trying so hard and she could tell, it made her happy.

Carter chose to ignore her, knowing she was a very modest person. "I wouldn't have a problem with it." He informed her. "Will it just be us, or will we be taking the entire staff." He hoped that the two of them could be left alone. But really he hadn't expected them to be left alone, after all he wasn't nothing but a disgusted meta. And he figured at least Alex would be with them. He wondered if Abigail even knew how to cook. Since she seemed to have a golden spoon following her around always. Slowing eating his food he let his mind wonder over what life he was going to have.

Logan smiled softly and nodded. "You're welcome." he said and then looked up at her as she asked if he would wait till they where married. "If that is what you want then yes. I don't want to force you Harper. I want to make you happy and I want you to be happy with my and this life, even if it means changing and waiting and all of that then I will." He handed the plate with he sandwich to her. There where side dishes set out with serving spoons for her to dish out what she wanted too. Logan smiled as he started to make his own taking a moment to sip from his wine. "I know I really fucked up and it might take years to come back form it and we might never have the chance we would have otherwise but I want to try and make a life with you." he said truthfully.

"I'm glad to hear that I was kind of worried you wouldn't like it." Abigail said and smiled at his question. "Since it won't be such a big house we won't have nearly as many people. I'll tell you more about it later it's beautiful though. I'm excited for it." she said. Her tastes had nearly always been directly opposite to her families. She hoped Carter could see the beauty she could int heir place. Once they finished dinner they headed off towards the party. "So remember my friends are fine but it's their friends that are well more like the high class spoiled rich kids you would think of around here." she said and chuckled. "The dancing is well..." she blushed. "Intimate but I love to dance so if we don't people will wonder about us and they expect us to drink and all that." she said and frowned a little nervous that someone else was going to get hurt because of her. Those kids that had come to kill her, their faces still where etched into her mind and the way her aunt had been so hatefully till the very end it still made her sad but tonight was her last night in the city to see her friends and experience society.

Harper listened to his words, she knew that he was being kind to her wants and need. "What if I never want that?" She questioned him, knowing he wanted her to give him a child. She knew that it would be a long time before that happened. She just didn't know how they were going to make it happen. But she knew that he was trying his best, and she promised him she'd at least behave better. After all he'd been kind to her every time she'd turned around. "If we marry will Carter be there?" She questioned him, wanted these answers known now. She didn't think she'd ever marry if Carter wasn't there. After all she never thought it was possible. "I mean I always thought I'd die alone or with Carter." She told him truthfully. "Being a meta that had no master was dangerous, and we moved so much that I thought I'd never find someone to share my life with." She informed him. "So all this is new to me." She motioned to him. She knew he wanted more than she could allow, but it was only because what he wanted wasn't something she knew how to give.

Carter listened to her explaining the party to him, he'd been to several parties protecting people. He knew how these parties worked. "I'll be fine," he smiled at her, before nodding to her. "I'm just a bit worried about how pushy your friends are going to be." He leaned closer to her not wanted the others to hear them, "about us." He whispered into her ear. He wanted to know what was expectable to her, "I don't want to offend you, or step to far over boundaries." He continued to whisper hoping she'd understand the meaning of his issue. He didn't want to ask her plan out if she was okay with him kissing or touching her. He didn't know if he could pull that part off, knowing that this was the first time he'd ever been put into this position.

Logan frowned. "I won't force you even when we are married but it doesn't mean I won't try to initiate it." He admired. "I want to kiss you and eventually get intimate with you but I will never make you, that would do nothing for me." he said softly. "I hope maybe one day you might humor me and find pleasure in it." he said softly. She asked is they married if Carter would be there and he frowned. "I will ask Abigail to bring him yes but she has a delicate situation. I hope they will be able to come." he said. Logan listened to her tell him the sad truth. "I know you never imagined this but I really do want you to be happy with me. I'm willing to work for it Harper." he said and gently reached over and touched her hand gently. "I really care for you." he said and then finished his sandwich. He took a bite and grinned. "Mmm so good." he said after swallowing.

Abigail blushed. "I'm not afraid of having you close Carter." she said and gently reached out and took his hand. "I just don't want you to feel like you have to do something you are uncomfortable with. I'm pretty sure though that there isn't a thing you could do to me to make me uncomfortable. I believe you are pretty respectful to begin with so I don't think you would really make me feel uncomfortable." she said and laced her fingers with his. "I told you Carter I have been alone a long time and I am just glad to have you with me. I have never had someone like you around me, someone I feel I can lean on and trust completely. I know we are still new to one another but I think there comes a point in difficult situations where you just give up on how much time you have spent with someone and just trust. For me that has mostly happened. There are a few things you don't know yet but I trust you to protect me." she said softly and blushed gently.

Harper watched him as he ate, a frown etched on her face. She knew that his answers were the best she was going to get under these circumstance. She picked up her sandwich before taking a bite. She wondered if he'd ever done this before, or if he was serious that she was special to him. "Have you ever dated someone before?" She asked deciding it was best to get to know him on a more personal level. Reaching down she grabbed a spoon out of the coleslaw, getting a bit onto the spoon she stuck it directly into her mouth. They were after all the only two that were here to enjoy it. "Mm." She was surprised it was good, most people couldn't make it right. Dipping the spoon back in she coated the spoon before offering it to him.

Carter smiled at her before gently squeezing her hand back, leaning his head on her shoulder. He was enjoying the closeness, knowing it was something they both would have to get used to. "I wasn't really concerned about touching you as I have already done so." He informed her, "I was meaning more intimately, the best form of compassion is kissing." He smirked, "I just have a feeling that your friends won't believe us unless we openly show our affection for each other." He knew they should be in a honeymoon stage. Where they were lovey dovey and couldn't keep their hands off each other. "Though no mater what happens here I will protect you." He said before gently brushing her cheek with his free hand. He knew that he was threading on thin ice but it was best to break those walls down now instead of later.

"Yes but nothing like this." Logan said. "I never really found them interesting or easy to talk to they where always stiff and hard to understand. They where like me I guess." he said and chuckled. He took the offered spoon of food and nodded coming back from it. "That is good." he said swallowing. He liked that they could do these things together that his world could give her a new spin on something she already knew of. "Haven't you dated before?" he asked her curiously. He would think she would have before now even if it was something small, surely she hadn't wanted to stay in with Carter all the time.

Abigail felt her heart flutter as he talked about kissing and she blushed. His hand in hers and then his fingers brushing sweetly against her cheek she leaned into his touch her eyes fluttering closed at his touch. She felt panicky and anxious for something. She had never felt this way before. She couldn't place her finger on what it was that was causing her to feel that way. Abigail looked back at him. "I am glad you want to protect me Carter it means a lot." she said. "I have a confession to make." she said blushing wildly. "I've never been kissed." she said looking down at the table. She bit her bottom lip gently and looked at their hands. She didn't know how he would take this kind of news. Sure she had kisses on the head and the cheek from her family and even Alex once after a sticky situation they nearly escaped but never had she had anyone her age kiss her. When she was young and going to school she had only just starting to get interested in boys and even then they where afraid of her status and only kissed her cheek or hands. She had never had a kiss and it was almost scary to admit that to him but he needed to know that sort of thing as her fake boyfriend.

Harper bit her lip, before looking up at him. "So they were sexual partners and not girlfriends." She stated, knowing better than that. Looking down at the container she dipped the spoon back into it before taking a bite of the food. It wasn't like she'd expected him to be a virgin. She just wanted him to be honest with her, it would make things easier. But lifting her eyes back to him, "I've never dated anyone." She told him honestly, then shaking her head. "We always moved and when a guy was interested in me I was always afraid he'd find out I was a Meta." She put the spoon now suddenly not hungry. "It was hard to trust people, and I never got over that." Licking over her lips, she decided to tell him everything. "I'm still a virgin and I've let a guy touch me ever." She said wondering if he'd catch on to what she was trying to tell him.

Carter smiled, "what can I say I like what I do." He teased her trying to make light of him protecting her. He knew that this morning she'd been dealing with a lot since her aunt tried to kill her. "Wanna know a secret." He chuckled softly. He was unsure how she'd feel about it. But he hoped that it was help ease her embarrassment, "I've never kissed anyone." He whispered out over her neck. He wondered how things would go down. She was so set on going to this party and he knew that it was about to be a bit complicated if feeling got intermixed.

Logan chuckled and shrugged. "Some of them, I really did try to be the gentleman for the women I was dating or even sleeping with but a lot of them took advantage of that or didn't want that at all. The ting about some Pura's is that they like to be mistreated so they had something interesting in their life. It's sick and I never was able to be what they wanted." he said and shrugged. She told him that she never dated and why and it made sense. He needed to take this slowly with Harper and to be thoughtful of that. He frowned. He needed to be the romantic she wanted and had once had from him. He nodded as she told him that she was a virgin. It all made more sense now. "I see. I am sorry. I can see how my advances must seem more than a little daunting. Please believe me when I say that I had not meant to cause you to worry. I won't hurt you Harper and if it ever comes time for us to go that route then I will make sure you are very pleased." he said softly. "More then you could ever realize."

Abigail blushed as he told her his secrete. "Hmm well this could be a bit more complex then." she said and looked up into his eyes. "Perhaps we need to practice it at least once then." she said and then looked up as the waitress came over and set their food down. "Enjoy." she said and Abigail thanked her and took a bite of her food moaning gently. She loved the food here.

Harper frowned listening to his talk about the women he'd 'dated', she'd never thought there was people like that. But the more she thought about it the more she realized that he was right. Having worked at a bar, the men there were weasels, and the women seemed to be cheap. It made sense to her now. Dropping the subjects of his past lovers, she didn't like thinking about it. Feeling a blush creep up on her cheeks she turned her attention towards the food that seemed forgotten. "I see." She said, letting herself relax. She'd never fully believe his words, but she'd try and not hold it against him. "And how long do you plan on waiting?" She lifted her gaze to face him. "If I decide that I don't want you in the way you want me, what then?" She questioned him. She knew he wouldn't throw her aside, if he planned to wed her.

Carter listened to her words wondering if practicing it would be right. He didn't want to take her first kiss as some practice. Carter pulled back as the waitress place their food in front of them. He'd noticed the way she looked at him, but it didn't faze him too much. Turning his attention to his food, he tucked in. His mind consumed with thoughts of her lips. He knew that she was taboo, but he couldn't help himself. Now that that door had been opened he'd started to notice things he shouldn't be.

Logan frowned at her next question. He looked down and took a bite of food to help him get more time to think. He swallowed then looked at her. "I don't know Harper. I never considered that you wouldn't like me so much that you wouldn't even want to be friendly towards me and have occasional sexual encounters once we are married. I was totally prepared to have you say yes because I am your friend and us totally working slowly towards being a couple that could learn to love one another but I never considered you would straight out say no. I had planned on waiting a long tome though to even bring it up so I guess there go all my plans." he said and sighed. "I don't give up easily so I don't know if I could just let you say no and not try to whoo and impress you into it. I want you Harper like I have never wanted anything before in my life. I will work for you and please you in what ever ways you want or allow so I thought it would turn out okay, I never thought if it didn't." he admired and looked at her. "Is that where you see this going?" he asked softly.

Abigail blushed as he said nothing as the waitress left. She kept eating to distract herself from what he was going to say. "It's okay we won't." she said finally after a long lull. "I'm sorry that was totally out of line." she said and rubbed her thigh nervously. It was something she had never considered that perhaps when she did get close to someone that why wouldn't like her like that. She should have known should have took that into consideration. After all he was forced to be here. Abigail smiled softly. "I'll just tell everyone we have decided we don't believe in PDA. It's alright." she said rambling a little nervously.

Listening to him she wondered if she really wanted this, she knew that no matter what she said he'd still try and change her mind. "I don't know." She told him honestly, because really she liked him. And there was a time she picture herself opening up fully to him, and allowing him to be her first. But the moment he'd revoked her and her brother's freedom he became a monster in her eyes. It was just the way it happened she had no control over it. And Logan brought it upon himself, but he'd just said so that he planned for them to marry no matter what. She'd be his wife and as his wife would she hate him more or learn to love him. After all he didn't seem like a horrible person, just human. He'd made some terrible mistakes but there wasn't a point in crying over spilt milk. "I know I told you I'd be more open and friendlier." She started wondering where she was taking this. "But I don't know what you expect from me, after everything that's happen." She shook her head. "I don't know if I'll ever want the same thing from you." She lifted her eyes to meet his sad gaze, "but I've never thought I'd want what you want." She told him, she was just being honest. And if he was offering her a better life then who was she to deny it. She'd never have to want for anything again. But her brother. And that was the icing on the cake. She'd never truly be happy because he'd taken her brother away from her. "It make take a long time, but I do feel like we've made progress." She offered him hope, even though she didn't know why. It how ever was true she felt like she knew him better as he did her.

Carter finished eating feeling the silence cutting him, he knew that it had been made uncomfortable by his own words. Shifting so he was closer to her, "I will do what ever I need to to protect you," he whispered, gently placing his hand on top of hers, he didn't care if it was too personal. "I just didn't want you to bestow you're first kiss on me." He told her truthful, him being a meta and all. "I would feel honored to be able to kiss you, but it is entirely your call, as I'm here to serve you." He said knowing that she wasn't going to back out of this party. And he wouldn't ever do anything to hurt or make her uncomfortable. So if this kiss business was that important to her he'd let it drop. But he couldn't allow her to think that there was something wrong with her. It was in fact that he was beneath her, and she deserved better than him.

"That's just it Harper all I expect is for you to try, just to give me a chance. I know I made the worst mistake but I can't close pandora's box after I have opened it all I can do is try to ease the pain I have caused. "We have made progress and we have a long way to go. I'm okay with that. I never wanted to rush into things anyways but my heart has been set on you since the moment I saw you." he said and rubbed the back of his neck. "So well take things as they come and you'll try to be open and friendlier and I will try not to act like a privileged ass." he said and smiled softly. He took some fruit and hoped it into his mouth looking at her wondering if they would ever get there.

Abigail flinched at his words. "Stop doing that Carter!" she said and sat back taking a deep breath looking really troubled. She shook her head waiting until everyone stopped looking at them then she leaned forward again and grabbed his hand and held it palm up in hers. She ran a finger over the lines there and looked up at him. "Stop putting yourself in the place you think that you belong that others have placed you in and I am sorry to say my mother did. That is not your place. People are scared of what they don't understand so they call it different and separate themselves from that thing, in in that case these people. But you Carter are no less than I am. You and I are the same." she looked into his eyes her hard with trying to make him believe but the sadness was there. "We won't practice but if the time comes to kiss me don't hesitate and don't go slow like this is our first, like it is mine and you have to right to take it from me. I would be taking yours too Carter. I realize that other than the maids I am the only woman you will be around for most of your life, I'm aware of what that could mean. You are not here to serve me Carter. Yes you are my guard but I hope that some day that won't become such a burden, I am more capable than I look." she said and looked away placing her other hand a in his. "Please don't treat me like I am different from you, everyone already does that. There was one thing I hoped for when I met you Carter, I hoped for a friend." she said not telling him the other things she hoped for because she was embarrassed. "This is our decision and if we don't want to kiss at this stupid party then we won't. I just wanted to warn you about this course we are taking." she said.

Harper watched him as he ate the fruit, her eyes taking in his features. He was a very attractive man, she couldn't deny. But she wondered if he was all talk and just wanted to control her. She knew that it was just her thoughts running wild with her, he'd shown no signs of every wanting to hurt her. So she didn't know where all this doubt had come from. Because she knew he'd never made a promise he hadn't kept, and he'd never touched her in a way she disliked. "If I asked you to show me, just a bit, would you?" She asked wondering what it was like to be with a man, granted she wasn't ready for sex. And really she didn't know if she wanted him to show her now. But she wondered if he'd take things slow and maybe kiss her. She would object at this moment when they were getting alone so well. But she knew that she shouldn't get her hopes too high, because they both were easily pissed off.

Carter flinched when she raised her voice, his hearing being superb. "Look I didn't want to step any lines." He informed her, knowing that he'd already done so by allowing his mind to play to her attractiveness. "I also wanted you to be aware that it wasn't that I didn't want to kiss you, I just felt that you could do better than me, not because I'm a." He stopped. "but because you deserve to love some one and have them dote on you properly." He explained, knowing that yes he'd partly meant because he was a Meta, but really he wanted what was best for her. His eyes lingered on her for a bit to long before he tucked his head. "Shall we go?" He asked her softly, knowing they were getting to much attention and both where finished eating. Standing he offered her his hand. Knowing that they both were portrayed as a couple might as well leave like one.

Logan looked at her and tilted his head a little. "How to be physical?" he asked and when she explained he nodded. "Of course. Going slow sometimes requires taking a step forward right so if you where ever feeling ready to try something or go a step further I would give you that." he said and smiled gently. "It would be my pleasure in fact." he said gently and smiled reaching over and tucking a piece of her hair behind her ear his finger trailing her cheek bone. "I thought it would be too soon now but it is completely up to you, if you would like me to show you anything all you have to do is let me know." he said gently happy she would even ask such a thing, it showed progress to him.

Abigail sighed. "Thank you for your concern Carter but there aren't a lot of options in my situation and even if there where someone like you is someone I would choose. The question you need to answer is would I be someone you would choose if you had other choices. If not then I don't want you giving me your first kiss Carter. I will find a way for you to find someone." she said and shook her head. "Besides I think you have the ability to really treat someone right if you wanted too so don't go worrying about that." she said and paused. He offered for them to go and she nodded. She stood taking his hand and lacing her fingers with him as she walked out with him. His hand felt so good in hers she wished that she hadn't brought anything up about tonight, she had just been worried was all about him panicking about where to cross the lines Alex and her mother had laid out for him.

Harper nibbled on her lips as he questioned her, she knew he would want to hear her say what she meant. "Yes, physical." She said softly, wondering if he'd need her to say more, but his next words stun her. She wondered if she'd ever want it, unless he prompted for it. She was more of a follower and not a leader. And she knew it, so if given a taste would she want more. She frozen when she felt his hand on her cheek, lifting her gaze to him she watched him. Nodding she blinking at him wondering if she would have the courage to ask. She knew that she was a strong willed person but she'd never been put in a position like this before.

Carter listened to her, nodding he understood her thoughts on all of this. "Honestly you're better than I could have ever chosen." He told her truthfully, he'd never meet someone like her before. "And you're better than most deserve." He told her before leading her out to the awaiting car. "After you." He whispered to her opening the car door for her, his eyes taking in her body. He knew that she was only being this nice to him because he had been the first interaction with a human in a long time. Though he was determined to get to know her better so he could see the truth for himself. Because he knew she was hiding something, and it was driving him insane knowing there was something she wasn't telling him.

Logan smiled softly and cupped her cheek more turning her head towards him. "Would you mind if I kissed your cheek?" she asked softly and stroked her cheek gently knowing she was to tense for him to ask for a kiss but this at least would get her use to him leaning in towards her for something and perhaps one days he wouldn't pull away from him. Logan wanted to please her to make her happy that he was with her but he didn't know how slow or how fast to go so he had to gauge her and follow her hints and leads. Logan knew ti was a challenge but was read for it.

Abigail blushed and shook her head. He was to sweet. She didn't think so, she was just able to see both sides of the situation. She had been born that way and there was a reason for it. He opened the door for her and she smiled gently and slipped into the car. She smiled as Carter got in and she rested her cheek on his shoulder. She listened to the car drive. It wasn't the longest car ride and when they stopped she sat up and looked at Carter. "Remember don't do anything you are uncomfortable with. I am just glad to get out and be here so if nothing happens that is okay." she said and smiled at him and got out of the car with him. She walked into the mansion with him the place more fancy than it needed to be to even please the most show offish rich. Abigail could already feel the music in her chest as they neared the ballroom that was not used for civilized parties. In fact it opened up to the outside pool and the dance floor looked like water. Abigail smiled as they walked in the room so tight that it was normal for people to be pressed up against each other. Abigail pressed her body closer to Carter's and looked around for her friend seeing Jessica standing and waving over by the bar. Abigail smiled waving back and headed over that way with Carter. Once they got there Jessica handed them drinks and then took their hands leading them over to a bigger group of people all sitting and talking, Ronald stood and leaned in kissing Abigail's cheek then sat back down and resumed talking with his friends. Abigail smiled at Carter her fingers interlaced with his as they sat down.

Harper looked at Logan her heart beating in her ears, she didn't like the way she was feeling. Her palms sweating she was caught off guard by his question, nibbling on her lip she gave a quick curt nod. It was an odd feeling having him ask, she was unsure if she'd rather he just done it. Feeling his body heat she gulped before feeling his lips on her cheek. It wasn't that weird of a feeling as she thought it would be. It almost reminded her of how Carter work kiss her forehead. Though this time the feeling in her stomach made her feel a bit queasy, she wondered why it felt so. It was odd that she felt this way. Watching as he pulled away her eyes trailed on his lips, wondering just how they'd feel on hers. She wondered if he'd kiss her now, or if she dared to be bold and kiss him, would her push her away.

Carter smiled as he gripped her hand, he let go of her hand before draping his arm over his shoulder. "Having fun yet?" He questioned her, before gently squeezing her shoulder. He knew that the sound of the music pulsing numbed his sense which made it hard to hear what was going on around him. But he felt things around him no matter what. He didn't feel like there was any danger, but he knew that he wasn't drinking so drink Jessica gave him was already pushed aside and forgotten. He wanted to make sure she had fun but didn't want her to get to drunk or allow her to stray to far away.

Logan looked at her and saw that look in her eyes. He smiled softly and caressed her cheek. "More?" he asked. He wanted to see if he could go farther with her just by a single word. When she didn't object he slowly leaned in and tilted his head. He paused just a breath away from her lips sharing in her anticipating breath. He they kissed her his eyes closed as his lips moved to hers. It was a gentle kiss one to get her started to show her what it was like to kiss sweetly. He let it go on a little while before he pulled back gaging that if she wanted another one they could do that but that was better than making it to long when she wasn't sure if she liked it. Logan looked over her face trying to see what she was feeling and thinking.

Abigail smiled and leaned into him her lips pressing nearly to his ear to speak over the music although she remembered his ultra hearing and whispered. "I'm board actually want to dance?" she asked him having had her drink already. She hated the sitting and talking some people did at parties. Ronald always sat and talk until it was late and he was drunk then he danced. Jessica usually was her dancing partner that would float back from her to Ronald. She had only been to a few other parties with them in her life but this time she had Carter and was excited to get out and dance. They would probably only do a few before sitting back down.

Harper looked at him her eyes almost pleading with him, but she didn't know what she was feeling, or could want from him. She'd felt the tenderness behind the kiss and knew that if all his touches were like that then she wouldn't mind letting him do more to her. Though when he asked if she wanted more, she froze. What did he mean more, she watched him as he leaned in. Her body reacting as she felt a blush creep on her cheeks, what was he doing to her. When his lips touched her's her eyes widen, what was this feeling. She took in his face his eyes closes as his lips gently worked against her. She felt a tug in her and let her eyes slip close. The feeling consuming her mind and body, so this was what it felt like to be kiss. She'd never expected it to be so simple and soft. There wasn't anything special about it. She felt his lips leave hers and she slowly opened her eyes. She didn't understand what it was that people enjoyed about kissing. She wondered if it felt different with someone you loved, or maybe she was just to much inside her head. Blinking she looked at him, her eyes connecting with his. She felt bashful all of a sudden, like they were doing something they shouldn't. Nibbling on her lip she watched him, wondering if he'd try it again. Maybe this time she could shut her mind off enough to enjoy it?

Carter let out a gently laugh, before grabbing her hand. He tugged her to her feet, before leading her out on the dance floor. His hand spinning her before he pulled her body into his. Her back nestled gently up against his chest, he placed his hands on her, letting them roam a bit. "How's this?" He nearly purred, before he started moving with her. His hand resting on his stomach almost as a anchor to keep her near him. He wasn't big on dancing, but he would try so that he could enjoy this with her. After earlier he was doing his best to reel himself in so he didn't do something that he might regret. The only thing that he could possible regret is not being allowed to see her after it was all said and done. This assignment was turning out to be something more than he could have imagined.
