Office Romance

Gibbs heard the doorbell and smiled. He walked out of the kitchen and through the house. Pulling the door open he greeted Tim and Tony and smiled. He took and allowed them into his home and smiled. He watched them look around and chuckled. "Make yourself at home guys. I am going to go finish getting the steaks ready." Gibbs smiled at the two men before disappearing to the grill once more.

Johanna walked down the stairs and smiled seeing Tim and Tony already there. "You two always this early?" Johanna smiled at them.

"Sometimes." Tony smirked at her. "Don't you look ravishing." Tony grinned getting up and hugging her.

"Thank you." Johanna smiled at him. "Tim you look handsome and so do you Tony." Johanna smiled giving Tim a hug. "I'm going to go see if they need help." She smiled walking into the kitchen. "Do you need any help?" Johanna asked.

Ellie was in the kitchen prepping the potato salad, garden salad, deviled eggs, and the homemade baked beans. When Johanna came into the room, she shook her head and smiled. "No, I think we're good in here. But if you would like to see what Tony and Tim want to drink that would be great. We've got soda, sweet tea, wine, beer, juice, and water." She said as she finished making the garden salad.

Just then the doorbell rang again. This time around it was Abby, Palmer, and Ducky. Ellie smiled as she heard Abby walk into the kitchen. When Abby handed Ellie one of her homemade delicious pies, Ellie thanked her and smiled. She wasn't expecting anyone to bring anything, but she was glad that they got some of Abby's yummy pies.

Abby looked to Johanna and walked with her back to the room where Tim, Tony, and Palmer were. When they left the room, Ellie put a hand on her growing bumping for a moment. She didn't think about anyone walking in. (I think Ducky should walk in. lol)

When Abby walked back to Tony and Tim, she smiled. "So, has anyone questioned what made Gibbs finally decide to invite us here?" She asked softly She then looked to Johanna, seeing if she had answers for this.

Johanna saw Abby looking at her and shook her head. "I have no idea. I really don't." Johanna smiled as she took and looked at Tim and Tony. "What would you guys like to drink, and you too Abby?" Johanna asked.

Ducky saw her place her hand on her stomach and smiled. Ducky took and walked up behind her and smiled. "You look lovely this evening." Ducky smiled at her.

Abby smiled, "I'll take some sweet tea." She said with a smile. "Thanks Johanna. Do you need help with anything? I can help you get the drinks." She offered before watching Tim move closer to Johanna. She had a small smile on her face she watched the interaction between the two of them.

Tim smiled, "I won't mind having a beer." He said as he looked to Johanna. "If you need help, I don't mind helping." He smirked as he stood there with them. "But if Abby is going to help you, you don't need everyone helping you with the drinks." He laughed.

Abby shook her head. "No, it's okay. You can help Tim. I was just offering." She smiled as she moved back over to Tony and Jimmy.

Tim laughed a little as he watched Abby walk back over to the other team mates. "Well it's settled then, I'm helping you." He grinned with a sweet smile. "And I didn't tell you earlier, but you look very beautiful." He grinned.

Ellie froze for a moment as she heard Ducky's voice. She knew that Ducky saw her interaction with her unborn baby. She took a deep breath, then looked to him, putting a sweet smile on her face. "Thank you Ducky." She said as she hugged him. "I'll go let Jethro know everyone is almost here." She then looked to her phone seeing that Director Vance had text her to tell him that she was on his way.

She then excused herself to go outside where Gibbs was. She walked up behind Gibbs, putting her hands on his back. "Hi honey." She spoke softly. "Everyone is almost here. Leon is about 5 minutes away." She spoke as she moved in front of him. She sighed softly and then looked to him and smiled. "I think Ducky knows what's going on..." She spoke.

Johanna blushed at Tim, "Thank you, Tim." Johanna smiled sweetly at Tim. She walked into the kitchen and got him a beer and the rest of the team that had asked for drinks. She saw him take a few of the beers as she took the tea's. She walked out handing Jimmy and Abby their tea and smiling. She looked at Tim to see him staring at her. She smiled at him as she heard Jimmy clear his throat.

"What is going on?" Jimmy asked looking around. "He never invites us here." Jimmy frowned.

"Relax, it's nothing bad. It's good, I suppose." Johanna smiled at the group.

Jethro looked at her, "It's going to be ok. He's not the only one." Jethro smiled leaning down and kissing her lips quickly. "It'll be ok when we tell them. They'll accept us I know this." He promised her and rubbed her stomach finishing the steaks up.

Tim looked to Johanna. He felt like she knew what was going on, but wasn’t saying anything. He looked to Jimmy when he asked what was going on because Gibbs never invited them. He couldn’t help but feel the same way that Palmer was feeling. However when Johanna reassured them to relax and all, Tim nodded. “She has a point. Gibbs seems to be in a good mood. So it can’t be anything bad.” He laughed before going back into the Family Room to Tony, Ducky, and Abby. He looked around to see where Ellie disappeared to, but didn’t see her. He turned to Johanna. “Do you know what’s going on with why he invited us over?” He asked curiously.

When Jethro told her that Ducky wasn’t the only one, Ellie’s eyes couldn’t help widen a little. She relaxed though when he kissed her, she stayed closer to him as pulled back from their quick kiss. “Who else knows?” She asked softly as she held the plate next to him for him to put the steaks on.

Raising an eyebrow at Tim, Johanna looked at him. “I’m not really sure why.” She admitted. “I think in my option that something is going on between Bishop and my uncle. But that’s my speculation.” Johanna smiled at the group.

“Are you sure about that?” Tony asked her.

Johanna shrugged her shoulders, “Like I said I think it. I am not sure, but I think it.” She told them as she smiled sipping her tea.

“I believe Johanna might suspect it.” Jethro smiled at her. “Not to worry. Soon enough they’ll all know the truth, angel.” He whispered kissing her forehead. He removed the steaks off the grill and onto the serving plate. Walking into the home he sat them on the counter and walked with Ellie to their guests.

Ellie smiled, knowing that she just needed to relax. Jethro was right they were accept them. She practically wanted to melt though as he called her angel. She wasn’t used to this side of him, but she wasn’t complaining at all. Allowing him to take the serving plate with the steaks on them, Ellie opened the back door before walking in behind Jethro. She put the remaining food items on the table, then looked to him. “I think we’re ready for them.” She smiled.

Tim was a little taken away by Johanna’s assumption about Gibbs and Bishop. However, the more he thought it, the more he realized that she might be onto something with those two. He looked to Tony, “She might be onto something.” He said as he went quiet, seeing Gibbs and Bishop walking into the Family Room now.

“Okay guys. Dinner is ready.” Ellie said with a sweet smile as she walked with everyone to the Dining Room table.

Tim followed and smiled as he ended up sitting next to Johanna. He smiled and then looked to Gibbs as he looked like he was going to say something

Jethro saw everyone sit down and smiled. "I know most of you are wondering why I invited you to my home. When I normally don't." He paused. "I have found something that has brought the best in me out." Jethro smiled slipping his arm around Ellie's waist. "Ellie and I are an item, I don't want to hear anything else about it. She brings the best out in me and I deeply care for her." Jethro smiled at Ellie.

"That's so cute." Abby cooed.

Johanna giggled and smiled, "It's very cute. I'm glad you two are together, and that someone is bringing that side out in you again." Johanna smiled at her uncle.

"Thank you both." Jethro smiled and looked at Ellie waiting on her to let her news out or to wait till afterwards.

Tim's ears widen, with happiness, as he watched Gibbs slip his arm around Ellie's waist. He was surprised but at the same time, knew that this had to happen. "That's so awesome, Boss." He said with a grin. "Congratulations." He nodded to Gibbs and Ellie both.

Ellie smiled, thanking the team for being so open to this idea. As that news sank into everyone, she looked to Gibbs and smiled. She wasn't sure if she was ready to tell everyone yet, considering that they just told the news. Looking at the table, Ellie realized she left a couple of things in the fridge. "Oh darnit." She said. "I left the potato salad, deviled eggs, and a few other things." She got up to Jethro. "I can get it though." She then got up, not realizing from where she was, her belly was really noticeable now.

When Ellie got up, Tony was the first one to notice it. Looking at Gibbs for a second, then looked to Ducky, then to Johanna. "Is she pregnant?" Tony mouthed to Johanna, using a motion as well.

Tim noticed it as well, and instantly looked to Johanna for an answer, since she was right about Gibbs and Ellie being together.

Johanna looked at Tony shrugging her shoulders. She shook her head mouthing back, "I have no idea." She mouthed to Tony and looked at Tim seeing him nod. She took and watched Ellie walk towards the kitchen and decided to go offer a hand.

"Hey you need some help?" Johanna smiled walking into the kitchen.

Jethro smiled at the team and looked at them. "So how is everyone tonight?" Jethro asked smiling at the group.

"I'm good." Jimmy answered smiling speaking up since everyone was being so quiet.

Ellie was pulling the items out of the fridge when she heard Johanna’s voice. She peeled her head out of the fridge and smiled. “Sure. I’d appreciate it.” She said as she handed her the bowl that had the Fruit Salad in it. She looked to Johanna. “I know I didn’t tell you when you asked, and I’m sorry. I just wanted to wait till I had talked to your Uncle on when to tell everyone about us.” She said. “I promise I’m not trying to keep anything from you guys.” She said and realized that she still needed to tell the team that she was pregnant.

Tim watched Johanna leave the table to help Ellie. He watched her for a moment then looked to Gibbs. “I’m good.” He said with a grin he watched to ask Gibbs about Ellie, but knew Gibbs was wouldn’t tell them anything.

Abby looked to Gibbs, “Gibbs is there anything else you need to tell us?” She piped up.

"No hard feelings." Johanna smiled at her. "I'm glad he has someone in his life again. He needed it." Johanna smiled at Ellie. Johanna grabbed another bowl to take the load off Ellie and walked out placing them on the table and uncovering them as she took her seat and smiled.

Jethro shook his head with a smile. He saw Ellie returning and smiled taking the bowls and sitting them down and uncovering them for her. He slid her chair in and returned to his own.

Tim watched the two girls down back. He smiled at Johanna and then watched Ellie. He looked to Johanna. “What did you two talk about?” He asked curiously.

“Did she tell you?” Tony whispered to Johanna. Tim rolled her eyes at Tony and then looked to Johanna.

Ellie smiled at Gibbs. “Thanks honey.” She said as she sat down. She looked up at Ducky across her and just smiled to him. “Ducky I’m so glad you go to come tonight.” She said as she patted Jethro’s knee.

“Actually I’ve got some other news to tell.” Ellie said.

Gibbs looked at Ducky seeing him nod his head. "So am I. Nothing like spending time with my wonderful family." Ducky smiled at everyone. Gibbs nodded his head and smiled at him smiling at Ellie as he rubbed her lower back smiling at her.

Johanna kicked Tony from across the table, "Owe, what was that for?" He grumbled.

"Drop it, please." She warned her friend seeing Abby laughing. Johanna giggled and looked over at Tim. "She apologized for not telling me and all. I told her it was god no huge deal." Johanna told Tim.

Ellie smiled as she felt Jethro’s hand on her back. She looked up to him and then Everyone else. “So...this happened before Jethro and I got to together, but I’m pregnant.” She said as she stood up, putting a hand on the bottom of her small belly that was starting to form in the outline of her dress.

Tim looked to Tony, motioning him to stop. When Ellie said that she was pregnant he was a little shocked but smiled. “Congratulations.” He grinned with a smirk.
