Almost Easy

"It's enough," She nodded a little. "I'm lucky enough to be good at what I do," She shrugged. "So it makes it easier to support myself doing something I do well. Have coffee shops always been your calling?"

He kissed her back and sighed. "Anything you order will be more than fine with me," He murmured. "I'll eat anything you know this."

She nodded and picked up her phone ordering some italian food for them both then sighed, "Suggest a date to him, a week from today - tell him you'll run it by me and then say I accepted it; I'll see what he wants only because I know he wont stop pestering me unless I do," she huffed a little as she turned and looked at him.

He nodded, "I guess so, I always wanted to own a cafe so I'm assuming that it must be something I've always been meant to do," he said as he looked at her, "but before this I worked in an office, behind a desk - pushing papers not the most thrilling job in the world,"

"I understand that, being stuck behind a desk would be my nightmare," She sighed. "But i'm happy you're free from it, and you're living more freely now."

He nodded. "Alright. Where do you want to meet? Here or there?" He asked curiously. "Or in a neutral location?"

"Neutral territory," she said to him as she laid back down on the bed then sighed, "He is like an angry child when he doesnt get what he wants," she muttered.

He nodded a little,"I am, its nice to finally feel at peace - the past wasnt a mistake but I'm here now thats all that matters," he said to he smiling

Jackson stood off to one side of the room, leaning against the wall. Jaebum was here to discuss the terms that he had been planning for a few weeks and though he had been spending more time than not, he had to pretend like he hadn't. So he kept his expression neutral and stood behind Jaebum, waiting to hear what he would say.

Maia walked back into the shop into the spot she normally sat in. She shop was mostly empty and it was getting dark, but she was trying to dig up as much information on the deal Jaebum wanted to make so she could send it to Lilith as she found it out.

Lilith walked over to the two of them, "What do you want Jaebum, already told you I don't want to 'join forces' with you,," she said as she crossed her arms over her chest while looking at him.

Hoseok could tell she was deep in thought so he knew better than to disturb her - last thing he wanted to do was cause her trouble.

"There's a shipment being sent over from Columbia and I want it," He said to her, shrugging. "I know you have people involved and I want to make a deal. I help you in stealing it from the others and we split it."

Maia found the source and sighed, raising her eyebrows. "He's trying to steal most of it for himself," She mumbled before texting Lilith. It's a multimillion dollar shipment, no way he just wants to help, she texted Lilith

She pulled out her phone then looked at him, "Don't you mean.. I help ..you in stealing it.. since you're coming to me its my help you need," she said as she wet her lips, she didn't trust him at all - she never had. Even when he was working under her 'owner' or pimp - whatever you want to call him. She had always felt a little uneasy about him, "So, given that I know your nature what exactly do you think you can get over on me? If I help you I get half and what else?" she was risking the lives of some of her best workers for a job like this - she wanted to milk it for all she could.

Maia sighed double checking what she found before sending all of the information to Liliths phone. She stood up and went over to the counter in desperate want of a chocolate muffin and some coffee. She didn't know how this deal would work out but she knew it would be messy. "Can I have a mocha latte and a chocolate muffin?" She asked, pulling out her wallet. "I need something sweet."

Jaebum shrugged it off and sighed. "Come on, there's something in it for both of us." He explained. "Lets both work together and I give you a cut of what's made. Jackson will work as the middle man, beteeen both of us." He said.

Sighing she chewed on the inside of her cheek,"alright, but he stays with me till the deal is over and if you try anything stupid you'll regret t,," she said to him with a raised brow, "Do we have a deal?" she didn't need jaebum to steam the columbian shipment - she could do it on her own, but he wanted to deal.

He smiled, "Seems like serious business - whats got you so tense," he asked as he got to work on making her latte and handed her the muffin.

"Work stuff," She mumbled. "A computer programming issue I can't figure out no matter how hard I try." She said to him. "It's been stressing me out." She lied, covering what she was really worried about.

Jaebum sighed. "Fine, but remember he works for me," He added. "But we have a deal. I'll have Hackson tell you the rest of the information you need."

She nodded a little, "Fine by me," she said with a small smile, "Don't pout Jaebum it makes you look like a five year old," she said as she looked at him then walked over to her desk. "I'll have some of my men fill you in on what we have an some plans we can use to heist the shipment - it'll be too easy," she sighed a little. She'd learned a lot in her time here.

He nodded a little and furrowed his brow," If I knew anything about that sort of stuff I'd try to help you but I'm basically useless with electronics,"

"It's fine, just taking longer than I want it to, trying to fight with the system and figure it out." She said oftly. "Once it's figured out it'll be fine." She sighed. "Things with you are fine though? Business seems to be doing really well."

He sighed. "I'm not pouting, just remember who he works for," He said to her. "Jackson will speak for me if I'm not present. Understood?" Jackson nodded in reply, looking between the two of them.

"He's a big boy Jaebum, he can take care of himself, "she said as she shrugged a little then pushed a hand through her hair, "so if we're done here, you can go; I have to talk to some of my men so they know what we're doing,"

He nodded a bit as he looked at her, "Things are great actually, we're working on expanding the shop to work with a local rescue," he admitted as he looked at her.

"Really?" She asked curiously. "What kind of rescue?" She asked.

Jackson nodded to Jaebum and watched as he left before turning to Lilith. "I guess I'm yours now," He grinned a little, shaking his head.

She smiled as she beckoned for him to come closer, "That was the plan, now you can stop running away before the sun comes up," she teased him as she bit her bottom lip.

He smiled, "Animal rescue, we'll have oneside for people who want to drink coffee or tea with animals oneside for those who don't" he said to her.

"You know he planned that," He laughed. "Giving me to you," He said as he walked over to her.

"You have to tell me when you bring the puppies," She smiled a little. "I demand to be first in the cafe."

She smiled a little, "Of course he did - he wants you to spy on me," she murmured softly," he also thinks I'm stupid; if he thinks he is getting one over me he has another thing coming," she muttered as she pressed her lips against his. With jackson she could be the girl she used to be before this lift swept her up like tornado wrecking everything in its path. He made her feel like the 16 year old girl who had a giddy crush on Joe Herman; but less naive.

He nodded ,"Of course, my favorite customer always get priority," he said to her as he thought about it, "But you should come on a date with me so we can talk about it more, I mean its only right,"

"Being your favorite customer has great perks, free food and dates?" She grinned. "Id love to, we need to talk more about puppies and coffee."

He kissed her and grinned, pulling her close. "It's better he doesn't know anyway. I don't want to think of the mess it could cause."

She smiled a little as she kissed him gently then sighed, "Hm I suppose," she murmured lightly, "I don't think I need to tell you that if you're fucking me over I'll kill you" she mumbled teasingly as she cupped the back of his neck.

He smiled a little, "I suppose we should go out for italian food then to discuss these puppies and kittens, he adi to her nodding a little.
