"Why does everyone think I'm going to ACTUALLY murder him?" Piper shook her head before taking a drag of her cigarette. "But fine. I swear. If it's shitty, though, can I punch him at least?" She asked.

Chris nodded his head. He knew how Piper got when she was angry, and this afternoon was the angriest that he'd ever seen her. "You're right," He agreed, putting his food in the fridge.

“Yeah, sure.” Vanessa giggled a little. She sighed as she looked out at the scenery. “Thanks for coming over, Pip.” She said.

Angelo nodded, “I would really think of an apology for Vanessa though and hope she takes it.” He said.

Piper nodded her head, flicking the ash off her cigarette. "Don't worry about it, that's what best friends do. I know you'd do the same for me," She yawned.

Chris nodded his head. "I know," he spoke quietly. "I'm gonna go back to my room and crash again for a bit... wake me when the beast comes home."

“Of course, if Angelo broke your heart at this point though, I’d probably kill him.” Vanessa said.

Angelo rolled his eyes, “Piper is not a beast, Hush.” He saidnbut couldn’t help laughing.

"Get in fucking line. Love that man with all my heart, but we're either getting married or he's getting the shit beat out of him. Put too much time into this relationship for anything else." Piper laughed.

"I picked her up from work once like a year ago, and walked in right as she decked this guy in the face. Your girlfriend is a beast." Chris laughed.

Vanessa giggled. “I hope y’all get married.” She said. She loved weddings and couldn’t wait for her best friend to get married.

Angelo laughed, “that’s my girl. I’m sure Vanessa is the same way, since she hangs out with Piper so much, so you better watch out.” He chuckled.

"So do I! I mean, I'm not holding my breath, but I do wanna get married before I'm eighty." Piper shrugged, stubbing out her cigarette.

"I have a feeling I'm gonna end up getting punched in the face no matter what." Chris laughed dryly.

Vanessa laughed, “right? Oooh I hear a car pulling up out front, I hope it’s our food.” She said as she put her cigarette out and headed back inside as the doorbell rang.

Angelo laughed, “I’m sorry, I know I shouldn’t be laughing but the way you said it nonchalant like..”

Piper followed Vanessa into the house, helping her carry the food into the kitchen. “Dear god, I’m starving.” She spoke, grabbing her carry out container.

“Well, it’s the truth! It’s gonna be either Pipes or Ness. Might as well get used to it.” Chris shrugged.

“Same here.” Vanessa said as she took her own box and went to grab her drink before going to sit down.

“I would love to see Nessa punch you, I’m sorry.” Angelo laughed.

Piper sipped her sweet tea before digging into her dinner. "Good call on Thai. I haven't had it in like forever." She spoke.

"Well, you're probably not the only one." Chris shrugged, leaning against the door frame of the kitchen.

“Me either.” Vanessa said as she sipped her drink and ate her food. She looked at her phone, “should I text Chris?” She asked Piper.

“I wouldn’t worry too much about it.” Angelo told him. “If worse comes to worse, I’ll just take Piper and we’ll go to my parents house until she cools down.”

Piper shook her head. "If he wants to apologize, he should get a hold of you first. Wait a day or two, then fucking go off on him." She spoke, taking another bite of her food.

Chris nodded his head. "I might just go hide at your mom's house instead. She adores me."

Vanessa nodded, "you're right." She said as she continued eating. Once she was full, she packed up the leftovers and put them in the fridge before going to join Piper on the couch again.

Angelo rolled his eyes, "yeah, yeah, I've heard." He said, shaking his head and laughing softly.

Piper looked at her phone. "I'm probably gonna head back to my place in a few. Are you sure you're going to be okay?" She asked, still concerned.

Chris shook his head. "I should go visit her soon, anyway. I'm her favorite son." He teased before heading down the hall back to his room.

Vanessa nodded. “I will be, I swear.” She said as she looked st her friend. “Just call me tomorrow and I’ll come over.”

Angelo rolled his eyes, “whatever.” He laughed. “I think she’s still out of town with my dad so you’ll have to wait to go see her.”

"Of course." Paige got up, grabbing her purse from the coffee table. "Be good and take care of yourself, I'll text you when I get home."

"She'll probably be more excited to see me than you when she gets back!" Chris laughed before shutting the bedroom door and climbing into bed.
