Brian stood leaving the girls to talk as he walked over to Matt, lowering his voice. "Wanna tell me what I missed?" He raised his eyebrow, glancing back at the girl from the liquor store.

Kara wiggled her fingers, giving Arielle a wave. "Back at you, kid." She spoke, smiling at her friend. "So, the big buff one? Can't say that I'm surprised."

"So, she just randomly walked up to me and started making out with me. She was hot so what was I supposed to do? Tell her no?" Matt shrugged as he and Brian talked.

"So the beer guy." Arielle fired back, a smile on her face. She and Kara weren't close friends but they were friendly enough that Arielle knew why Kara stayed in her house alone the last few months. "Not that I'm surprised, you seemed into him back at the store."

" Wait seriously? She just came up to you and started making out with you. Lucky bastard." Brian questioned, his jaw dropping ever so slightly. "You know that's the chick who opened the store back up for me... The one who's parents own the cabin."

Kara shook her head, a light blush dusting her cheeks. "Well, he was definitely cute then. Even cuter now." She looked over to where Brian and Matt were talking, wondering just exactly about. "How much do you wanna bet they're talking shit?" Kara joked.

Matt raises a brow before looking back at Arielle, who was standing there talking with the girl that Brian brought over. "No wonder she was so adamant about us not messing it up," he joked.

"Oh absolutely. I actually kinda just went up to him and started making out with him." Arielle blushed, looking back at Matt and Brian. "The whole reason I came over here was to give him my number."

"Yea no kidding. So she literally just came up to you and made out with you... like no introduction at all?" Brian questioned again, still not able to get over that little detail.

Kara laughed slightly, hardly able to believe that Arielle had done something like that. "So, you just walked up to him, planted one on him without even introducing yourself? Damn, go you!"

Matt nodded his head. "I know, dude! I still can't fucking believe it, but it happened." He looked down at the little scrap of paper with Arielle's phone number on it. "She's hot though, so I'm not gonna complain."

"Yea well what can I say." Arielle giggled, shrugged her shoulder. "Who am I kidding I was beyond terrified." She bit her lip, lowering her voice so they couldn't overhear.

"Hey however you can get it." Brian laughed. "S o what are you gonna do. You've got her number, you gonna call her?"

"Then why did you do it? I know you're not drunk." Kara asked curiously, crossing her arms. "I mean, I don't disapprove. I'm just curious as to why."

"Yeah, I'm gonna call her. Did you see her? Total smokeshow." Matt spoke, running a hand through his unruly curls. He sighed. "I actually want to know more about her."

"She's cute. Not my taste... but she's cute." Brian nodded, leaning back on the hood of his car. "You could always invite her to chill with us... why wait to call, she's standing right here.

"Chrissy and the others were getting on my case about Jasper... about how I wasn't outgoing and I couldn't be bold.... basically I did it to prove them wrong but... he's actually a really good kisser." Arielle explained, cringing at the mention of her ex-boyfriend.

"Dude, I'm sorry, but fuck Chrissy. You don't need people to pressure you to do shit. I'm glad you broke out of your shell and everything, but she really isn't your friend if she fucks with you like that." Kara spoke. Just because she and Arielle weren't super close didn't mean she couldn't care about her.

"Well, she's kinda busy talking to the other liquor store girl." Matt joked, looking back at Kara and Arielle. "You inviting her back to the cabin tonight?" He asked curiously.

"Yea well... she's kinda all I have..." Arielle frowned. She and Jasper had been high school sweethearts, it wasn't until after school ended that he started becoming controlling... not letting her hang out with her friends. He had only hit her once, but she ended the relationship then and there - and Jasper went to jail for assault and battery. After that none of her friends wanted anything do her with her... except Chrissy.

"Probably... depends on how things go here." Brian nodded. He took a look back at the girls, trying to figure out what they were talking about. "I wouldn't worry about it... girls could talk forever if you gave them the chance. Give them a few more minutes and we can cut in."

"Okay, and what am I?" Kara spoke, running a hand through her hair. "Dude. Seriously. Fuck Chrissy, fuck Jasper." She put a hand on Arielle's shoulder. "Seriously,I have your back."

Matt nodded his head, watching as they continued to converse. Whatever it was about, it must have been serious. "Sure," he agreed.

Arielle nodded at Kara, thankful the slightly older girl was looking out for her. It was a small town, everyone knew what had happened. "Enough about me... what about you. You gonna give him a really chance? He seems pretty into you."

"I will never understand the closeness of small towns like this." Brian shook his head. Back at the store the girls seemed like mere acquaintances. Now, here, they seemed as though they were the best if friends.

Kara looked back at Brian, smiling slightly. "I will.. He's super cute, and he's pretty nice." She whispered, blushing slightly.

"Neither will I... Thank god we don't live out here." Matt mused, sipping his beer. "Should we go check on them now?"

Arielle smiled, noticing the blush appear on Kara's face. "I think he'll be good for you."

"Lets." Brian nodded his head towards the girls, pushing off the hood of his car and walking over to them "Ladies, what are we talking about over here?" He mused

Kara raised a brow, looking over at Brian. "It's an AB conversation, sir. See your way on out." She joked, winking to show she was kidding. "What about you two fine gentleman?"

Matt laughed slightly. "Everyone gossips about everything around here, yeah?" He joked before slinging an arm around Arielle.

Arielle blushed when he put his arm around her, but leaned against him nonetheless. "That's pretty much our only source of a good time." She joked, ooking up at him. Her small 5'3" frame really showed when she stood next to Matt, who towered closer to 6'.

Brian shrugged looking over at Kara with indifference on his face. "You." He smirked, not caring that she knew she was the topic, or at least part of the topic, of their conversation.

"Little ole me? I'm flattered." Kara smirked. "So, I don't know about you, but I need another drink. Let's leave these two be." She spoke, taking Brian by the hand and leading him back to the bar.

"No offense, but I believe it. As peaceful as it is I would go mad living out here." Matt spoke honestly, sipping from his beer again.

"Gladly." Brian nodded towards Matt, following Kara back to the bar to get another drink. "Whatever you want - I got it." He stated, indicating to the bartender to put whatever she was getting on his tab.

"You're telling me. I've lived here for the past 24 years. You've only been in town two days." Arielle laughed, shaking her head. "You're staying up in the cabin off Cedar... Right? That my parents cabin."
