My face turned beat red. "Actually, I didn't know that you had," I said to her. I rubbed the back of my neck and bit my lip. "I'm still gonna go change in the bathroom." I told her I took a drink of the coffee, hesitating a moment before heading toward the bedroom door.

Matt
Her last comment made things even more awkward for me. I walked to the bathroom and quickly changed into my clothes. I stared at my reflection. I honestly didn't recognize myself anymore. I looked down at my hands, seeing my ring on my left finger I let out a sigh. I was a widower. It was time that I admired that. I pulled my ring off and put it on the other hand before walking down the steps.

Matt
"I got it, thank you," I said to her. I took a long drink of my coffee. I wasn't ready to start touring. I didn't want to leave James behind. I looked out the window seeing the bus pull up. I sighed softly. I walked to James room, opening the door I walked in and kissed his head. "I love you buddy," I whispered. I walked out of the room and looked at Chloe. I pulled her into a hug. "Thank you so much," I whispered in her ear.

Matt
The day before Thanksgiving

The guys and I had got done with your just in time to be able to spend time with our families. We had been dropped off at the studio where our cars were. I got into mine and quickly drove to Chloe's. I parked in her driveway and got out, knocking on her front door. I couldn't wait to see her, and most of all, my son.

Matt
I crouched down to James level seeing him run down the hallway, I smiled as he ran into my arms. "Hey there little man," I said hugging him tightly. I picked him up and looked at Chloe. "Thank you so much Chloe." I said to her.

Matt
Part of me was shocked whenever she told me that James had called her mommy. Part of me was hurting inside. Part of me knew this was coming, and the other part of me, didn't know what to do. I rubbed my hand across my face. " He needs a mother figure," I told her. She would know that I'm right.

As I was about to say something to her, James came running up to us. "Will you come home with us mommy?" He asked her, looking between the two of us. Actually hearing it, partially killed me inside. "Can she come home with us daddy, please?" He begged. I bit my lip, looking between the two of them. "If she wants to she can." I said. James then proceeded to turn around and pull on her shirt and beg her. I would have to say that the word please came out of his mouth atleast 20 times.

Matt
I smiled at the two of them, looking at James. "Do you want some help packing everything?" I asked her. The last thing I wanted to do was help her pack. Not because I didn't want her to come, but because I just wanted to relax. I had been on the road since the beginning of August. I picked James up and held him in my arms as he laid his head on my shoulder.

Matt
"Thank you so much for watching him Chloe." I told her. "I'll grab his stuff at least. If you need help transferring everything over to my house, just let me know. I'll help you bring it all over. " I then walked over to James' room and grabbed his little suitcase and the few other bags that he had. I walked out the door and put them in the back of the car before heading back over to Chloe. I wrapped my arms around her and gave her a tight hug. "Thank you so much for everything that you've done for me the past couple of months. I really appriciate it." I said to her. "I'm glad you're doing this for him. He loves you and I don't know how he would have reacted if you said no." I kissed the top of her head, "Let me know if you need help with anything okay?" I told her, looking into her beautiful eyes. I didn't want to admit it, but I had developed feelings for Chloe. I didn't know if I loved her or if I wanted to be with her, but I had grown to care for her, and there were so many times that I talked to her on the phone, that I worried about her because of the way that she sounded.

Matt
It wasn't long after I got home that James decided that he wanted to go to bed, which was perfectly okay with me, because I wanted to take a nap. Deciding to sleep on my couch instead of my bed was a smart idea because as soon as I had laid down I was out cold. I didn't even hear my phone go off whenever Chloe messaged me. What woke me up was her knocking on my front door. I shot up and rubbed my face before running down the stairs. I opened the door with a yawn. "I'm sorry," I mumbled " I didn't intend on falling asleep. I'm surprised I didn't wake up whenever my phone went off." I explained to her.

Matt
"Well, you've got four options. We have three guest rooms, or you can sleep in my room with me." I told her. I wouldn't be heartbroken if she told me she wanted her own room, I would completely understand if she did. That's when it dawned on me. "I think I know why he's been calling you mommy." I told her. "The night that I stayed with you before tour, we were sleeping together and he walked in and saw me in your bed. So he probably thinks that because we shared a bed, that you're his new mom," I explained to her.
