James rolled his eyes when she said that annoying nickname, "Well i would be home alone if I didnt run into you." He teased her. He finished his drink, thinking about what he has spent the day doing. He watched as she finished her food, "You ready?" He asked. He figured he would walk her home.

Meilani smiled, "So are you ready?" she asked once they were both finished. She walked out with him, ready to head home. "I guess I will see you tomorrow." She told him, looking at him.

Zoey noticed him rolling his eyes and let out a small giggle lifting her hand to her face to do so. "Someday you're going to hate when no one calls you that." She smirked before finishing up her food her face still flushed from laughing. She nodded and said, "Yep. Wait, are you walking me home?" She shook her head. "I can take care of myself you know." She told him smiling gently.

Taven nodded getting up and getting the door for her before smiling. "I'll drive you home if you want." He let her know before looking around the empty streets. "I don't want to walk alone at this time of night." He murmured looking down at her. He wanted her to know that she meant something to him as did her safety.

James nodded, "Yea I was going to walk you home." He said. He shook his head, "I know, but I would feel better if you let me walk you home." He said. He was hoping she would let him do that. He knew that even if she thought she could take care of herself, that these streets weren't safe at night for anyone.

Meilani smiled at him, "Sure, I'd like that." She said. She was surprised that he was so worried about her. She looked at his car, before getting into the car with him. She relaxed as he drove her home. She looked at him, "Thanks for driving me home." She said, smiling at him. "I will see you tomorrow at school." She said, before she got out and went into her house, shutting the door. She frowned when her dad walked out from the kitchen, "Meilani that boy is bad news." He said. She sighed, "We are just friends dad." She muttered before walking away. "Friend's or not you shouldn't be around him." Her dad told her.

Zoey chuckled and said, "Catch me if you can." She teased before stopping hearing him speak and almost smiled seeing that he was worried. "Fine!" She said as if it were a big deal and turned back to him and said, "You better not try to like kidnap me or something though. I'm watchin' you!" She said before turning back around so quick her hair moved with her.

Taven smiled back opening her door for her before getting into the driver's seat and starting to car. He smiled and said, "Anytime." He gave her a gentle smile before pulling into her drive way. "See you tomorrow, Meilani." He smiled taking her hand and kissing the inside of the palm gently before waving and making sure she got into her house before pulling out and heading home.

Meilani went to her room and sat there, looking at the place where Taven had kissed her hand. She couldn't believe that he actually liked her. She waited about a half and hour before she texted him, You didn't text me to let me know you are home. She sent the message adding an angry emoji at the end of the text. Once she was ready for bed, she laid down, staring at her phone. She had never felt this way about a guy before. Especially a guy like Taven. Maybe it was because he was consider off limits.

Zoey laughed and said, "Of course you are. Charming 18 year old boy with raging hormones? I'd call that worrisome." She teased once more smiling softly and sighing whren she got to her house. "Mmhmm, Bye Jamesy." She blew a kiss knowing he hated that nickname laughing as she went in the house. She closed the door before biting down on her lip hard leaning against the back of the door. She shook her head not liking that he made her heart flutter. She sighed and switched into her pajamas and got into her bed before seeing the text message. She smiled. I did as well, even though I was with a potential psycho. She giggled pulling her pillow to her chest.

Taven could still the feel of her soft skin against his lips and smiled to himself as he parked his car heading up to his apartment. He made it inside and laid down on the couch and smiled looking up at the sky before biting down on his lip harshly. He heard his phone go off and chuckled. Don't shoot! I'm sorry! He hoped he made her laugh and took his shirt off leaving him in his sweat pants.

Meilani giggled at his response, I assumed I had a simple request. She sent the message, adding a sad emoji to it. She laid on her bed, not wanting to fall asleep. She could spend all night texting Taven. She wondered what it would be like to lay in bed with him talking all night or to have him holding her in his arms. She shook her head, trying not to think like that.

The next day James walked into school, seeing Taven, "Hey man." He said, leaning against the locker near his friends. He looked at where his friend was staring. He reminded his friend.

Meilani smiled when she read his message. She couldn't stop staring at the nickname he had called her. She bit her bottom lip lightly, I will let it slid this time, but next time you are in big trouble mister She sent it closing her eyes.

Meilani stood with her friend Lindsey, laughing at something she said. She opened her locker, getting out the books she needed. She couldn't stop thinking about her and Taven's conversation last night. They had stayed up texting for most of the night and she was kind of tired from being up so late. Meilani said bye to her friend then walked down the hallway, seeing Taven by himself after James left his side. She came up to him, poking him in the side playfully. That's new Zoey sent back a small smile on her face as she did so. She looked up at the ceiling before giggling seeing his message. Shut up. You like it. Shde teased him mercilessly. She didn't mind teasing him since everyone else was too scared to say a damn thing to him. She remembered the frist time she had met him in his leather jacket with his dark hair and bright eyes that lit the room up. People refused to argue with him but she did and had been right about whatever it was. She fell asleep thinking about the memory.

Zoey felt like being bold when she woke in the morning since coach had given them the night off and smiled as she got her outfit together. Getting her books in her arms she headed out into the street. She had her earbuds in as she headed to the school. Once there she headed to her locker smiling as she did so. She felt eyes on her and just ignored them humming softy along to her music. She even had some of the teachers staring. She felt someone tap her on the shoulder and turned to see one of the guys from the guy volley ball team. She tilted her head as he spoke to her his eyes wandering every now and then.

Taven laughed seeing it. My apologies He sent back before crashing hard from the very long day he had had. He got up in the morning groaning as he made himself get up. The idea of seeing Meilani sent him into a good mood. He grinned softly getting up and getting dressed. He put on a ripped pair of jeans along with some sneakers and his button up black shirt.

Getting into school he looked around his eyes landing in Meilani as he greeted James before hearing him turning to look at him and said, "Oh shut up." He laughed before getting quite serious hearing him. "He won't find out." He said determinedly. He saw Zoey walk in and saw her outfit and said, "Oh shit." He couldn't help his eyes before turning him head away and said, "Good luck." He grinned before noticing a dude named Jake talking to Zoey and snickered.

James looked over at Zoey, frowning when he seen Jake talking to her. He rolled his eyes at Taven, "Your woman is here." He said, walking away as Meilani got to them. He walked over to Zoey, smirking as Jake scampered off when he seen him. He looked at her, "So, what's with the outfit?" He teased her. "I mean I knew i was contagious but damn." He teased. He looked around them, feeling people staring. "You doing this to get attention?" He asked. He didn't like the way that the other guys were looking at her. He had always liked her softer side, but this side also seemed fun. He wondered what it was like to be with 'bad' Zoey. "Do you want to go to a party tonight with me and Taven?" He asked, "I may be able to convince him to invite Meliani." He said, smiling.

Meilani watched as James walked off, seeing Zoey. "Are they dating?" She asked Taven. She had heard they were, but she didn't see Zoey dating James. The two of them were constantly bickering. She leaned against the locker next to Taven's as she watched him. She loved just looking at him sometimes. He was so cute and he made her happy. She never imagined herself with someone like Taven, but she was starting to really like the idea of being with him.

Zoey was awkward as she spoke to Jake knowing he had a thing for her but wasn't really that into him. She watched as he walked off before turning knowing it was Jamesy. "Oh Jamesy, this is for me and no one else. I felt like being pretty." She teased before blinking. "Why would I do something for attention?" She frowned at him finding that a little offensive. "You should know me better." She told him shutting her locker with a loud thud. "I'll think about it." She told him before turning around and starting to walk. She wasn't quite hurt by the question just surprised and a little annoyed that he had asked it. She didn't like the fact that that even crossed his mind.

Taven watched and heard Meilani, "Nope, but I'm hundred percent sure that they should be." He laughed before turning towards her with a smile on his face. "I'm sorry about not texting you when I got home last night." He told her looked her in the eyes his lips slightly curling into a smile just by looking at her. He looked back and saw Zoey take off and winced, "Looks like something dumb came out of his mouth as per usual." He laughed before shaking his head. "Enough of them for me. Not my business." He told her before smiling down at her. "Hey, would you be interested in going to party with me tonight, I think James is gonna ask Zoey." He told her trying to make it seem like a group thing.

James frowned when he watched her walk off. He sighed as he walked after her, "Look Zoey I didn't mean to make you mad." He said. He felt bad for upsetting her. James walked with her to her class and stopped her from walking in. "If you really dress like this, then why don't you dress like this more often?" He asked. He was hoping that she wasn't the kind of person to try to impress people. He looked around as the crowd moved past them. James looked down at her, smirking.

She thought about it, her dad was going to be out of town this weekend for work. "Sure." She said, agreeing to go to the party. She normally wouldn't have agreed, but with her dad gone she had nothing to worry about. She walked with him down the hallway, seeing James, sucking up to Zoey. "You should probably tell him that he needs to give her a cool off period." She said, laughing softly. Clearly Zoey was not amused. Meilani walked with Taven to their class they had together and sat down next to him.

Zoey heard him and said, "Well you said it." She shrugged him off only glancing at him for a second before walking right into him since he had stopped her from going in. "Move, James." She told him before hearing him and said, "Because I also like the other way I dress. I just have days where I want to dress like this." She told him before crossing her arms over her chest. "Can't believe you thought I would dress to get attention." She scoffed. "I've gotta get to class." She told him ducking underneath his arm and going into her room leaving him in her wake. She sat down getting her books out of her bag. She impatiently tapped her pencil on the desk waiting for the class to start so she could get distracted from James and his lame ass remarks.

Taven smiled, "I sure hope so." He was hinting that he would like to text her more. He watched for her reaction walking slowly with her as they talked. Hearing her reply he grinned, "Great. I"m excited then." He told her. "Here's a secret, it would be boring without you. Though, It's not really a secret." He told her and looked over hearing Meilani and could hear Zoey from where they were and started laughing when he saw her go underneath his arm and escape. "Ouch. Nah, this is far more amusing for me." He said before looking down at Meilani. "One day he'll learn." He murmured softly looking into her eyes getting lost for a moment before sitting down in his chair.

James sighed and walked away. He went to his class, sitting down. He was hoping that Zoey would come to the party with him. He messed with his pen as he ignored the teacher. He just wanted to get the day over with. James was glad when he heard the bell ring. He got up and went to his locker, putting his things in there. He sighed, looking over at Zoey.

Meilani looked at him, then looked up when she heard the teacher start talking. She was glad that she was spending time with Taven. Meilani heard the bell ring and got up with him. She walked with him down the hallway, "So what time do I need to be ready by tonight?" She asked. She really wasn't sure if she would like going to a party. She didn't drink or do anything like that. She put her stuff in her locker, looking over as James walked over to them.

Zoey slowly calmed down by the end of the day but still a little upset. She didn't know why she had gotten so mad at him for saying what he had. If anyone else had, she would have ignored it. She sighed before standing up at the end of class and walking over to her locker opening it and getting her stuff before looking over feeling someone's eyes on her. "I'm waiting." She said expectantly. She could be petty when she wanted to, but she didn't think she was being petty at the moment. All she wanted was an apology.

Taven gave her a sweet smile before looking up at ethe teacher since he had promised to be more diligent. He wrote down his notes before walking with Meilani down the hall. "Around 8 I'll pcik you up." He told her. "Unless you dont' want me to?" He questioned, not wanting to assume anything. He looked over at James grabbed him by the jacket. "Whatever you did to piss her off, just fucking apologize for christs' sake you pride filled ass." He let go before returning to Meilani and talking with her.

James frowned as Taven grabbed him, "Fine whatever." He said. He looked at Zoey and walked over to her. "Okay fine. I'm sorry." He said. He looked at her, "I was just thrown off by this." He said. James smiled at her, "Are you going to come with us tonight? Meilani is going." He said, smirking. He looked over as some people walked by before he turned his attention back to her.

Meilani smiled at him, "You can pick me up at eight." She said. She looked over as he spoke to James, smiling when he looked back at her. She couldn't wait for the day to be over with. She wanted to spend time with Taven. A part of her wanted to ask him to stay at her house with her.

Zoey looked up at him as he apologized and said, "Was that so hard?" She shook her head a small smile creeping its way onto her face as she put her books up and sighed hearing James and said, "I would but I don't have the car tonight." She bit her lip looking up at him. "Besides what the hell am I going to do at a party?" She asked teasingly laughing softly. She supposed she would have to wear contacts tonight. She thought about that and shook her head. Nah, she would wear her glasses like everyday.

Taven heard James and noticed Zoey talking to him again and said, "Thank me later." He turned back to Meilani and grinned hearing her. "Alright. I'll be there." He told her looking at her gently before hearing some person calling his name and saw it was one of the jocks that didn't like him and rolled his eyes hearing him call him a faggot. He ignored it looking back to Meilani. "Sorry." He gave her a small sad smile. "It happens sometimes."

James pulled up to Zoey's house, texting her to let her know that he was there. He was going to meet Taven and Meilani at the party. He leaned back against his seat, thinking about Zoey. He had a feeling that tonight was going to be a good night. He looked over as he watched her open the car door. "Hey." He said. He looked at her, "You look beautiful." He said.

Meilani opened her door when she heard a knock on it. She smiled at Taven, "Hey." She said. "Ready?" She asked him as she locked her door, shutting it. She walked with him to his car, getting inside his car. She looked at him, "Don't hate me if I don't like this. I'm not big on social gatherings." She said, laughing softly.
