Shaun nodded walking with her, "lets not jump all the way to that just yet, we can figure it out, I have all my tools so I should be able to find work for cash, don't need an address if we get paid in cash," he said. He put his arm around her shoulder loosely, "plus with being such a beautiful girl, we could figure out some scams or something if we had too, plenty of options to try before we get that desperate."

He looked at her, "did you have any thought about where you wanted to go?" he asked.

Veronica smiled weakly and nodded, “that’s true, I guess it could be worse. I wasn’t saying becoming a hooker or anything... “ Veronica sighed softly, “yeah I guess we can do that, I’m not exactly the best liar though” she laughed. Veronica thought for a moment, “not really, what about you?”

Veronica leaned against Shaun for support, “thanks for getting me I know you have your own troubles but you’ve always been so good to me so thanks. I really appreciate it.”

Shaun nodded holding her up, "honestly it's fine, you have been there for me when I needed you too," he said lightly. He decided he should just tell her, "I was planning on just hitting the road, driving out of State, maybe towards Hollywood, or LA, see if I could figure out the details on the road."

Shaun stopped for a second, "you're more than welcome to come with if you wanted."

Veronica looked at Shaun and gave him a small grin, “that sounds like an adventure.” As they walked along he had stopped to ask if Veronica was interested and for a moment she had to think about it but agreed. “I would love to join you! Sounds like an adventure and I’m so up for it.”

Veronica knew it wasn’t going to be easy but she’d do whatever she had to. “I mean so where to we start? I don’t want to sound overly eager...” too late for that, she thought.

Shaun grinned slightly, "okay awesome, well I was thinking we should probably get some supplies, food and water, so we don't have to stop in every town on the way there," he noted. He stood thinking for awhile, "maybe a blanket, pillows," he added.

He started moving again slowly, "we can't really hit the road until tomorrow, have to pick up my paycheck remember," he noted, "so we still need to find a place to crash the night."

Veronica agreed with Shaun about supplies, “yeah all right, we can gather some supplies and find a place to spend the night.” She looked over at him, “well, I didn’t mean leave right now, but maybe soon..?”

Veronica thought for a moment, “so where are we staying? We can just park somewhere and crash? Sound okay? Or find a motel or something.. whatever you want to do. I’m just a long doe the Ride”

Shaun shrugged, "no idea yet, but I haven't had a chance to shower, so we probably should find a place with a shower for tonight, maybe a friends place? or a cheap motel." He walked into a store, looking around.

"We can leave whenever you want to, I've got nothing keeping me here after I get paid," he stated. He was glad he would have company for the road, and that he wouldn't be leaving her behind, that had been playing on his mind slightly, after all they'd known each other forever.

Veronica walked alongside Shaun as they’d entered a store, “I don’t know anyone we could stay with, so you? Maybe a cheap motel is best guess..” she grabbed a basket, “anything else we might need?”

Veronica nodded, “first thing after you get your check we can leave if you want it’s doesn’t matter to me” it would do them both some good to leave this place.

Shaun walked through the aisles, 'no idea, maybe we should just walk around the mall and see if we spot anything else, I just hope what we do need doesn't cost too much." He picked out a cheap blanket the felt comfortable, and placed it in the basket.

Shaun grinned, "yeah a motel is probably best, I don't really know anyone we could stay with either." He was beginning to feel less worried about leaving, at least with the both of them, they could figure things out, and be able to support each other.

Veronica walked around with Shaun and picked out some cheap stuff like blankets and pillows. A 24 pack of water and some other necessities. She sighed softly trying not to stress out about this whole situation.

Turning to Shaun Veronica smiled softly, “guess we can do that, so why Hollywood? I mean I’m not complying or anything just curious.”

Shaun smiled back at her lightly, "no reason, but I figure the beach, the sun, could be a nice change at least for awhile," he said. He walked to the hardware/automotive section to look at things to decide if he should maybe buy some things. He turned back to check she had followed.

"Also you know I love driving, and fixing things, so I figured I could see if they needed a mechanic or driver for any movies, might be able to find decent work."

Veronica nodded as he talked. “True, beats being here for the rest of our lives.” She followed Shaun and smiled as he talked about some dream or aspiration he had. At least he had one, she didn’t have much or anything. “Sounds great Shaun.”

Veronica watched as Shaun looked at some tools “beaches sound nice, it’s been years since I’ve been to one.”

Shaun grinned, "I've never been, I barely know how to swim," he noted. He put a couple of things into the basket, some spare rubber cement, chip repair, and a role of duct tape, he knew he had some in with his tools, but its better to have spares just in case, after all the last thing they needed was to break down and get stranded.

He stopped and looked at her, "yeah I'm sure we'll be able to figure everything out, we will be fine."

Veronica grinned walking over to Shaun and wrapping her arms around him, “don’t worry buddy, I’ll teach you how to swim, I was on the school swim team for the longest time..” she stopped back and grabbed some gum from her bag. “I wish I knew we were going to Cali I would have brought some bikinis with me. Oh well, maybe I’ll find some later on..”

Veronica hummed softly as she watched how much Shaun knew about cars she had no clue about anything cars. She was glad he did though.

Shaun hugged her back gently, "We could go back to yours pack another bag, I'll even smack Felix around a bit if you want," he offered. He took the basket up to the till, hoping that it wouldn't come out costing too much. He had learnt a whole bunch about cars as he fixed up his one, it barely ran when he first bought it while still at high school.

Veronica smiled at the thought, “as entertaining as that would be s maybe we should just move forward or actually, maybe we can he’s not there during the day and my mom is at work. Hmm...” she thought about what else she could from her room.

Shaun grinned, "yeah you are probably right, the last thing we need is trouble with the police before we even leave," he accepted. He paused, "so the house will be empty tomorrow at like ten?" he asked wondering whether they could save money on a room tonight, and just shower at her place tomorrow.

He put his arm around again, "I'm excited to run away with you, it can only be fun with the both of us," he teased.

Veronica agreed, “yeah, we don’t need that, we have to leave this place and never come back okay?” She chuckled. She thought about it for a moment, “yeah we should be good.”

Veronica beamed at him, “yeah, it’ll be amazing! Just us causing chaos around the state!” She laughed.

Shaun grinned "it should be fun wreaking havoc, doing whatever we want." He turned to her, "if that is the case, we don't need a motel tonight, we could just find a bar or club, get drunk off free drinks from suckers and what I stole from dad, and sleep in the car," he said. He figured they might as well start the trip off right.

Veronica nodded in agreement, “I’m sure I can get us some free drinksc ooh let’s do it?” Why not start the trip with a drunken fun night. “I could use a margarita” She chuckled.
