It's a Beautiful Day

((Skipping to the receiption))

Gabby sat st the table watching Derek talk with her father. She smiled, seeing the interaction between her two favorite men in the world. Her father and her husband. She still couldn’t believe that she was finally married to Derek. She took a sip of her drink, looking at her hand. She smiled as sat there, watching as Richard walked over to her. They had a smal conversation before the DJ walked over to tell her that they were ready for her and Derek to do their first dance together as the Mr. and Mrs. She nodded and got up, looking to Derek and getting up to go get Derek. She walked over and smiled, “There’s my wonderful husband”. She winked and leaned up against him. “It’s time for our first dance as a married couple.”

Mark was getting food for him and Emily. He chatted with a couple people, including Derek’s mom. He then looked over to Emily, giving her a little wink. He finally made his way back to Emily. “Thank you for your patience. You would think some of these people haven’t seen me in forever.” He chucked putting the plate of food down in front of her. “Did I do good?” He asked, referring to the plate of food.

"Is it?" Derek smiled. "Than my beautiful wife, shall we go dance?" Derek smiled at her. He took and held onto her hand as he lead her to the dance floor. Hearing the DJ announce them, he smiled pulling his wife close to him swaying his hips along with her own. "I'm so thankful that we're married now." Derek smiled.

Emily chuckled, "You did great baby." Emily smiled pecking his lips lightly. She took a bite of her food and felt the small flutters in her stomach. Smiling she rubbed the bump a little bit looking at Mark smiling. "Well you haven't seen Mrs. Shepherded in some time." Emily pointed out smiling at him as she admiried her best friend and Derek doing their first dance as man and wife.

Gabby swayed with him as they began to dance. “I’ve been waiting for this day from the moment you asked me:” She spoke softly as she danced with him, staying as close as possible. “My dashing husband.” She whispered as she kissed him deeply on the lips. “Our future has so many things to look forward to.” She noted before Derek twirled her before pulling her back to him. “You know you never told me where our honeymoon was.” She said, still shocked that she let Derek pick the honeymoon all by himself.

Mark smiled at Emily before sitting down next to her. “Yes it was nice to chat with Carolyn for a little bit.” He chuckled as he looked up to see his best friend dancing with Gabby. He just grinned, pulling out his phone to take a picture of them. He looked to Emily, “It’s like what a Disney Princess and Prince.” He smirked as he reached over to put a hand on her growing belly. “So how long do you think it’ll be till Gabby says she’s pregnant?” He asked as he rubbed her belly.

Derek grinned, "Oh that is a surprise." Derek smiled leaning down kissing her lips. "Trust me though. You'll love it baby, I promise." Derek told her kissing her lips again and grinning at her. "I promise you that." Derek smiled swaying his hips with her and enjoying this.

Emily laughed, "That I am not sure on, Mr. Sloan." Emily grinned at her boyfriend and smiled. She felt the flutters grow a little and smiled looking at Mark. "The baby likes you rubbing my stomach." Emily smiled at him before taking a sip of her water and smiling at Mark.

Gabby looked at him, and fake pouted. “You know I hate surprises.” She teased and kissed him softly. “I trust you 100% that it’s fun.” She said as she kept her arms wrapped around his neck. “Derek Shepherd I love you so much.” She spoke as she swayed with him, slowly stopping as the song ended.

Mark chucked and kissed her softly. “I’m glad.” He said as he kept rubbing her belly. “Well I love rubbing your belly.” He winked and leaned down to kiss her belly. He then sat up to take a sip of his drink. “I think Gabby will be pregnant within the next 6 months.” He commented as he clapped when Derek and Gabby finished dancing.

"I love you so much too, Gabby." Derek smiled. "Trust me you'll love it." Derek held to her hand bowing with her. He walked over to the table sitting down as he looked at his plate of food and began eating on it as he would sneak kisses from Gabby and smiled.

"You are awful." Emily laughed smiling as she clapped as well. "I don't know Gabby is careful. I say two years." Emily smirked kissing Mark's lips and smiling. She relaxed into her seat feeling a small cramps but ignored them as she kept the smile on her face.

As the night progressed, it was just like Gabby had wanted. When it came time to dance with her father, tears flowed down her cheeks. She and her father danced to the song, My Little Girl by Tim McGraw. This had been there song since she was a little girl. After that was done, Gabby sat down watching Derek start to dance with his mom. Later on during the night, Gabby had went over to her best friend. “Hey, can I convince my Maid of Honor to dance with me?” She laughed lightly.

Mark laughed, shaking his head. He still disagreed that Gabby and Derek would wait 2 years till they had a baby. When Gabby danced with her father, he just smiled enjoying the moment. Then when Derek danced with Carolyn, Mark smiled even more. He smiled just holding Emily’s hand. When Gabby started walking over towards them, mark got up deciding it was time to go bug Derek. “Hey man. How is things going?” He smiled at Derek.

Emily laughed nodding, "Of course you can." Emily smiled slowly getting up as she took and walked onto the dance floor with Gabby. She laughed dancing with her and enjoying herself lightly. "You and your dad were so cute dancing on the dance floor." Emily smiled at Gabby as she enjoyed dancing with her best friend.

Derek chuckled seeing Mark walking over. "Things are amazing, Mark." Derek smiled at his best friend. He looked towards Gabby and Emily dancing and smiled. "Never figured i'd have happiness after everything with Addison. But sure glad I am." Derek admitted.

Gabby smiled at Emily's words, "Yeah, Daddy and I were a bawling mess while dancing. It's just no one noticed it." She said, laughing as she continued to dance with her best friend. "You know Emily, I know today is supposed to be about Derek and I. However, I couldn't get through this day without you." She spoke softly as she danced with her more. "You're my person...and you will always be my person." She said, hugging her best friend.

Mark grinned at his best friend, truly happy for him. Watching Emily and Gabby dance, Mark just smiled even more. "Oh, I know you're find happiness after Addie." He said as he looked to Derek. "Addison and you just grew apart...not including me butting in and having an affair with her...however that's done and over with." He said, going back to watching Gabby and Emily. "Those two are so inseparable." He chuckled. "Can you imagine if the two of them ever got pregnant at once." Mark laughed.

Emily giggled, "You're my person too, Gabby. I don't know what i'd do without you." Emily smiled hearing the music stop. Emily reached over hugging her best friend tightly. "Never forget that." Emily whispered to her best friend and pulled back walking over to the table and smiling. She sat down slowly tired already from the small dancing she'd done with her best friend.

"That'd be kind of cool, but bad at the same time." Derek laughed seeing the two stop dancing. "If you'll excuse me, I am going to steal my wife and prepare to leave for our honeymoon." Derek smiled at Mark patting his back before walking to Gabby. "Are you ready to let me whisk you away from here?" Derek grinned.

Gabby finished dancing with Emily and just smiled, holding back tears she she hugged her tightly. When they pulled apart and went their separate ways, Gabby just smiled as she saw her husband walking towards her. Grabbing his hand when he close enough, Gabby pulled herself closer to him and kissed him before letting him ask her his question about whisking her away. "I would love that." She smirked as she laid her head on his shoulder.

Mark smiled as he watched her lovely girlfriend move back over to the table and sit down. Knowing that she was tired, he just smirked, walking over to her. "I see you and Gabby got to have a best friends moment." He whispered as he sat down beside her. He put a hand on her small bump, looking at her. "Are you tired, baby?" He asked softly. As he sat there, Mark started thinking about his and Emily's future, even thought about a wedding.

Derek smiled, "Shall I let you throw your bouquet and we be on our way?" Derek grinned at her as he held her close kissing her lips. "I just want to be alone with you, baby." Derek grinned at her.

Emily looked at Mark and smiled, "I am very tired." Emily admitted smiling. "But I am not leaving till they leave. I have to watch my best friend leave." Emily told Mark smiling tiredly at him as she yawned a little bit. She had thought about their future so many times. Sometimes it seemed like they would be nothing more than what they were now, except when their baby came into their lives.

Gabby smiled, nodding. She had the DJ line up all the girls before finally tossing the bouquet. She smiled as she watched her best friend catch the bouquet. She laughed, shaking her head. Of course she would catch it. Walking over to Emily, Gabby hugged her and congratulated her on getting the bouquet. "Take care of Mark." She laughed lightly and hugged her once more. She then looked at Mark, "Behave, Mark." She laughed before leaving with Derek. She kissed him, very curious to knowing where they were going.

Mark chuckled when Emily caught the bouquet. He watched the two girls interact, and he walked over to Derek. "Have fun man." He winked and gave him a pat. When Gabby and Derek left, Mark wrapped an arm around Emily and kissed her cheek. "Is this a sign that we should get married, soon than later?" He laughed a little as he looked at her holding the bouquet. "I knew you were going to catch it." He chuckled.

Derek smiled helping his wife into the car before going over to the driver's side. He got in and pulled out heading towards the airport. He laced his hand with hers and smiled. "You're going to love it, trust me." Derek whispered smirking as he drove.

Emily laughed lightly, "How did you know I'd catch it?" Emily smiled walking with Mark as they made their way out of the venue and towards his car. "Anyone else could've caught it." She pointed out smiling at him.

Gabby smiled, "I trust you, honey." She whispered softly, kissing him once more before letting him drive. She stared out the window as they drove. She was really curious about where they were going, and it made her smile as Derek drove to the airport. She thought it was so sweet how he planned this whole thing, and kept it a secret. When they arrived to the airport, Gabby looked to Derek. "Derek, I love you." She whispered softly and kissed him once more.

Mark just laughed, "I just had a feeling." He chuckled as they walked towards his car. "Yes, anyone else could have caught it. But you were meant catch it." He grinned, leaning over to kiss her. "Lets go home baby." He said as he opened the door for her to help her in the car.

"I love you too." Derek told her honestly and smiled. He leaned in and kissed her lips softly. Going to the private jet he'd hired. He walked up on it and smiled at her. "Bahamas, how does that sound?" Derek smiled.

Emily shook her head smiling. She relaxed into the seat of his car and yawned. She was pooted and just wanted to sleep for a thousand years if it were possible. "I'm ready to relax in the bed." Emily smiled.

A bright smile appeared on Gabby's face. "The Bahamas...oh Derek that is absolutely perfect!" She said with a bright smile, leaning over and kissing him softly on the lips. When the walked onto the private jet, Gabby looked around and then looked to him. "This is going to be the perfect honeymoon." She giggled as she wrapped her arms around her new husband. "Dr. Shepherd." She giggled.

Mark nodded, agreeing with her about relaxing in bed. "That is the perfect idea." He smiled as he drove to their apartment. When they got there, Mark helped Emily out before walking up to the apartment with her. When they were inside, he just watched the young woman as she headed towards their bedroom.

Derek grinned, "yes it will be." Derek smiled kissing her lips softly.

Emily removed the heels from her feet and smiled. She let her hair down and stopped a second glancing back. She smiled at Mark. She turned back around disappearing into her bedroom and smiling.

Gabby smiled as she brought her lips closer to his, deepening the kiss when Derek started to kiss her. Quickly getting seated, she pulled herself closer to Derek, still kissing him. It was almost like she didn't want to stop kissing Derek and had not intentions of doing that either.

Mark said nothing just watched the young woman. He chuckled to himself, shaking his head a little before deciding that he was going to follow her to the bedroom. When he stepped into their bedroom, he just stood up agains the doorframe.

Derek grinned kissing her back as he cupped her cheeks. He kissed her lips deeper loving the fact of this. That he couldn't stop kissing her anymore.

Emily slowly turned around staring at Mark. She raised an eyebrow looking at her boyfriend. "What?" She smiled lightly.
