It was a little while longer after Owen had drifted off to sleep before Olivia started to feel hungry. She ate half of her sandwich before she put her seat back and began to relax. Eyeing the stewardess for a moment, Olivia groaned as she shifted around so that she could prop her legs up on Owen's lap after a moment of consideration. She was pretty sure that Owen wouldn't mind, at least she hoped he wouldn't. They had seemingly gotten closer than Olivia had ever thought they would so this was normal, right? Drifting off to sleep, Olivia slept rather fitfully.

Olivia jerked awake when someone started to shake her legs, her eyes narrowing in on the culprit. "Hey. I need my beauty rest if I'm supposed to go meet with Lockwood!" Her scowl fell, morphing into a tentative smile as she pulled her legs away from Owen as a light blush covered her cheeks. "Sorry, I just.. it was comfortable?" Olivia said, hoping that she wasn't imposing or upsetting Owen in any way. They were on a good roll, she didn't exactly want to ruin that.

Tucking her feet beneath her, Olivia looked up as the stewardess began to approach them. She was a lot less smiley this time around but Olivia didn't think much about it. "We'll begin circling the landing strip shortly. Please buckle your seatbelt so that we can ensure we are prepared," she muttered before turning around, stalking away from the pair.

Owen felt extremely disorientated as he woke up from the plane bumping around. He sleepily opened his eyes and yawned, stretching as much as he could. The soft snore beside him let him know that Olivia had also fallen asleep, his eyes moved past her and found the window. They had dropped significantly in altitude, and he took it as a sign that they were almost there.

He moved his hands down to buckle his belt but didn't get very far. He smiled as he realized Olivia had propped up her legs on his thighs. He gently started to shake her legs and waited patiently for her to wake up. ''He's ancient, but hey, no problem if you like older guys.'' He held his hands up in the air and waited for her to move her legs.

''It's not a problem, I told you it would be okay. We're almost there,'' he rubbed his face and put his seat in an upright position. He followed Olivia's eyes and noticed the stewardess. She had already been there while they were sleeping to take their trash and fold up their tables. He didn't get a chance to thank her as she turned and walked away.

As they buckled their seatbelts Owen started getting a weird feeling about seeing Lockwood. He didn't know anything about the guy besides the fact that he is a business partner of Hammond. He was nervous about his motives, especially since he had also wanted Olivia there.

Olivia's face scrunched as he started to shake his head rapidly, a scowl forming on her lips as she pulled her legs up. Her scowl quickly dissolved into a grin as she shook her head. "Ugh, no! That is so not what I even meant. I bet he's old enough to be my grandfather and that's just gross," she said, shaking her head with a small laugh.

"My parents might be happy, though. I mean, he's rich, right? So that's at least one thing that I would be doing right," Olivia said with a roll of her eyes. "Unlike digging around in mud and getting dirty, he's made a life for himself. So maybe I should try to turn on the charm a little bit..." she trailed off thoughtfully, grinning as she glanced toward Owen. "What do you think? Is he into redheads or am I too old to be his mistress?"

Olivia straightened up, reaching over to give Owen's hand a gentle squeeze. She became more serious as she relaxed. "Whatever actually ends up happening, you have to make the best decision for you in the long run. If people are stupid and go to the island and get themselves killed, it's ultimately not on your shoulders if you feel like you can't go. Sometimes it's okay to look out for yourself."

Owen smiled at her and started shaking his head, ''I am not answering that, cause that is a trap.'' Owen squeezed her hand back, ''Thank you, it means a lot.'' He let go of it and looked out the window, they were almost about to land. He kept watching as they touched the ground.

The stewardess' voice came out from the speakers, she thanked them quickly for flying with them continued by a weather report and the time. The plane came to a stop which made him quickly get up and grab their bags. He handed Olivia her bag with a smile, ''Welcome to the UK.'' He motioned her to go first, he followed her past the Stewardess and the pilots who smiled and wished them a nice stay.

When they stepped out of the plane the cold air hit them. Owen took a deep breath and stretched with a loud moan. He hadn't experienced anything that was that refreshing for a long time. He took his time to enjoy not being stuck in a plane anymore and scouted the landing strip for their car.

As soon as a gust of wind picked up, Olivia shuddered and moved to tug her hoodie a bit closer to her body. She looked toward Owen, her face scrunching a bit when he moaned. "I'm just going to be honest here, I already miss the warmth," she said, letting out a small whine as they headed toward the car that was already waiting for them.

Olivia had been put off by the chill in the air but still, she leaned toward the window and watched as the scenery whirled by as if she was on some sort of vacation. She grinned to herself, just enjoying the change of surroundings. Sighing after a few minutes, Olivia sat back and turned toward Owen.

"I've been told that if I ever did make it out to England, that I had to go to a legit pub. Something about fish and chips," she said with a small laugh. She side eyed Owen for a moment before raising an eyebrow. "Considering we'll probably need a drink or two after whatever ends up happening with Lockwood, I think we should hit up a pub. If that's all I get to do while we're here, you can call me happy."

Owen was one big smile as they sat in the car on their way to Lockwood Manor, mostly cause of Olivia complaining about the weather already. ''I did warn you,'' he said with his nose in the air trying to stop his grin. He observed Olivia while she was looking out the window. He was caught a bit off guard when she turned towards him.

''Sure we can do that,'' his ears started to get hot and he cleared his throat. He could still feel the wine in his system and the thought of just hanging out with Olivia at a pub made him in a really good mood.

''Do you play pool? It's pretty much a must to play while you're at a pub.'' He didn't care if she didn't, he probably would enjoy teaching her. ''I can teach you if you don't, although I'm sure you can handle some balls,'' he winced at himself for making such a bad pun, but he couldn't resist.

Olivia started to nod at the offer of playing pool before Owen had even finished speaking. "I think I've played it once or twice," she answered simply, giving a shrug of her shoulders. "So I guess I'll take a lesson or two from you," she answered, only for her eyes to widen at Owen's pun. A blush covered her cheeks as she turned away, desperate for Owen to not see how his comment had affected her. She chewed on her bottom lip, glancing out of the window as they approached a luxurious looking mansion.

"You know, I thought my parents were well off but maybe I was wrong..." Olivia trailed off, her face scrunching a bit. "I can't imagine living in a house that big. I mean, you could never hope to occupy even half of it. What's the point?" Olivia was thinking out loud at this point. She hadn't realized just how nervous she was for this meeting until the car came to a stop in the elaborate driveway, parked right outside of the front step.

Olivia hesitated for a moment before she climbed out of the car, smoothing down her shirt. Stepping around to the front of the car, Olivia glanced toward Owen. "Is it too late to turn back?"

Owen smiled at her reaction but didn't say anything. He looked over the mansion and took it all in. He whistled, ''Wow.'' He wasn't concentrating on Olivia, but he still heard her. He shrugged with his back to her, ''The bigger the better I guess, people like him don't care about occupying the space. They just want something to show off.''

He followed her out of the car and thanked the driver. Owen chuckled, ''Way too late, don't worry about it, girly.'' He started walking up the steps to the huge french front door. Half-way up the steps, the door opened and an elderly man stepped out. He wasn't your typical elder, he was wearing a nice suit with a cane of dark almost black wood.

He reminded Owen of Hammond but less round. Lockwood smiled and reached out for Owen,''Owen and Olivia, I presume?'' Owen nodded and grabbed his old but strong hand. ''I'm Benjamin Lockwood,'' he said with his voice full of pride, ''if you didn't know.''

Lockwood then grabbed Olivia's hand and kissed the top of it. It made Owen raise his eyebrows, ''What is it about you that make people want to kiss your hand, jesus christ.'' He laughed and followed Lockwood into a huge hallway, looking back at Olivia mouthing the words 'Oh my god'.

Olivia opened her mouth to reply to Owen when the mansion's door started to open. She swallowed the lump that had suddenly formed in her throat as she stepped up onto the landing. She offered a smile, nodding as Benjamin introduced himself. She very nearly rolled her eyes as he kissed her hand but she managed to stop herself before she actually did.

Reaching out, Olivia smacked Owen's arm as her eyes narrowed into a thin glare. She wasn't actually upset by his comment, if anything she was amused because she didn't understand why it was even a thing. She appreciated the chivalry for what it was but still, it was strange to her. Clearing her throat, Olivia glanced around as Benjamin led them through the house and into the back yard. They were led over to a table where tea and pastries were already set out for them.

Benjamin pulled out Olivia's chair for her and she was quick to thank him before she sat, fiddling with her hands in her lap. She wanted to just launch into why she was here but she would let Benjamin and Owen do the talking, she didn't want to rub either of them the wrong way today.

Owen was still giggling when they sat down at the table, the sweet scent from the pastries filled his nostrils. He looked across from himself, over to Olivia, and cleared his throat which made Benjamin look over at him with a curiosity glowing from his eyes. Owen took a deep breath, ''So Lockwood, what makes you summon us?'' He took a bite of one of the pastries and sat back, waiting for Lockwood to explain why they were there.

Lockwood didn't say anything, he just smiled and lifted a teacup up to his mouth and took a sip. He then put it down and dabbed his lips dry. He folded his hands on the table, leaning in a bit. ''I'm in a rather odd position,'' he said with a heavy British accent, ''I'm sure you both know who I am. Who I've worked with and what horrors happened in my name along with Hammonds.''

Owen nodded and noticed he had held his breath, he exhaled and took a deep breath. He felt slightly worried about the situation.

''I have been conversating back and forth with BioSyn and I-''

''Why the hell have you had contact with BioSyn?'' he had no problem interrupting him whatsoever.

Benjamin held up a hand, ''I know, but let me finish. They wanted me in on an attempt to wind up all the loose dinosaurs on Isla Nublar, for experiments. Horrible experiments let me tell you. In other words, they want my funding.''

Owen sat back in his chair, ''What does that have to do with us?''

''I didn't take you for a slow-witted person, Owen. Haven't you been warned about some people who are closing in on the island.'' The man looked over at Olivia with a sad look in his eyes, ''Do you know what your parents are doing as we speak?''

Olivia sipped at the tea that had been poured for her, listening intently as Owen and Lockwood went back and forth. She kept her gaze lowered, a bit more focused than perhaps she should have been on the scone that she had picked off of the plate. She only looked up when she felt eyes on her. Her eyes locked on Lockwood's and his words were enough for the color drain from her features. She swallowed as she set the scone down, her eyes narrowing as she gave a shake of her head. As smart as she was, it was easy for her to figure out what Lockwood was trying to get at.

"You're lying," Olivia bit out, her hands completely still as she gave another shake of her head. Even if she wanted to deny what Lockwood was hinting at, she knew in her gut that he wasn't lying. Her parents were somehow involved in this, likely the legal side of approaching the island, and that had the power to both anger her and break her heart all at once. To know that her family was involved in potentially using animals as experiments.

Olivia straightened up after a moment, her will becoming even more evidently clear. Her face hardened, her jaw clenching as she set her hands in her lap. She was no longer interested in enjoying the scone that she had been eating, her attention focused solely on Lockwood now.

"I'll do whatever I can, whatever is needed," Olivia said, without even so much as considering the ramifications of what they were about to embark on. She knew full well in the back of her mind that this could end up severing her relationship with her family but if it meant saving the dinosaurs on Isla Nublar, she would. It wasn't fair to them to be treated as nothing more than experiments when they were living, breathing creatures.

Olivia glanced toward Owen, cocking her head just slightly as her mouth formed a thin line. At this point, she certainly hoped that Owen understood that she was coming along. There wasn't really a choice on either of their parts any longer, not with learning that her parents were directly involved with BioSyn.

Owen's face had gotten pale, he didn't say anything instead he just sat there looking at Lockwood. He felt Olivia looking at him but he couldn't exactly look at her right now. His breath was shaky as he held his head in his hands. The room seemed too small for him so he pushed the chair back which almost made it fall over. He turned away from the table and went out the french doors that led into a small garden. He found a bench which he sat down on.

Inside, Lockwood stayed seated, calmly he reached over beside his plate and grabbed a small folder. ''I wish I was lying, Olivia, but I'm not, and they need to be stopped.'' He stood up and walked over beside Olivia and sat down, he handed her the folder and looked at her with a worried look. ''I know you will, dear.'' He smiled through his beard. He patted her arm and pointed at the folder, ''in that you will find all the information about BioSyn, and the deal they have with your parents.''

He then stood up again and started walking out of the dining hall they were currently in, ''Tell Owen that your rooms are on the second floor, 3 doors down, they're opposite each other. There is no point in using your money on a hotel when you can stay here as long as you want. I'm gonna retreat if there is anything you need then just ask one of the butlers or find me in my office.''

Owen watched as Lockwood left Olivia at the table and sighed. He thought about how he would be feeling if he was in Olivia's position. It was almost unbearable to think about, and he felt bad for Olivia. It wasn't her fault, but he was frustrated that it had to be her parents. It made the whole situation ten times worse for him.

Olivia felt her stomach drop as Owen left the room. She was almost sure it was because Owen was mad at her, even wondering if the man suspected her of knowing what her parents were up to. Olivia had never known, if she had, she would have told Owen immediately and done whatever she could to stop them. It made her sick to her stomach to know that her parents could even be involved in a scheme like this. To want to use animals for horrendous experiments that would do no one any good.

She bit out a weak 'thank you' to Lockwood when he presented a folder to Olivia. Even without his explanation, she had a sneaking suspicion of what was inside. She simply sat there staring at the manila folder, growing sick to her stomach the longer that she sat there. She didn't want to look at what was inside of it but she knew that she had to if she wanted any chance at stopping this before it blew up any more than it already had.

It wasn't until she was positive that she was completely alone that Olivia let out a sob, reaching up to cover her mouth as her face crumbled. She didn't know that Owen was watching her and that was probably a good thing for it would have made the whole thing even worse for her. It was a few moments before Olivia found the courage to reach out a shaky hand and open the folder.

The more that she read, the more it seemed to calm Olivia down. She back stiffened as she leaned forward, resting her arms on the edge of the table as her eyes narrowed. Olivia started to form an idea, pushing to her feet once she had finished reading through everything. She grabbed the folder, rushing outside to find Owen. When she spotted him sitting on the bench, Olivia rushed toward him. It was evident that she had been crying but now, that sadness was replaced with a steely determination.

"It's not going to be easy to fight this. We could go through the courts if we really wanted to but by the time any sort of decision is reached, the damage may already be done," Olivia said, careful to keep her voice even as she spoke. She looked up to Owen, drawing in a deep breathe. Before she could even think, she spit out another entirely unrelated sentence. "I didn't have any idea this was happening."

Owen's heart dropped to his feet as he watched Olivia through the window. Lockwood had left her, and she was now alone at the table. He had so many emotions and pictures going through his head as he watched her eye the folder. It wasn't till her hand flew up to her mouth and her shoulders started shaking that he felt like he had to look away. The feeling of intruding on her while she was so vulnerable, made him feel uneasy. He wasn't sure if he would be able to not say anything stupid, so he stayed outside.

He was deep in thoughts when she finally joined him outside. He kept his head down and only saw her feet as she stopped in front of him. He didn't say anything after she was done speaking, he just lifted his head and met her eyes. They were pink and puffy, and all he wanted to do in that moment was to comfort her.

It wasn't that he thought she was lying to him. He believed her when she said she had no idea about it, but it still bothered him. He knew he couldn't hold it against her at all, seeing that her parents had done this behind her back.

A sigh escaped his lips as he moved a bit to make space for Olivia, ''I do believe you, I'm just having a hard time trying to convince myself you won't end up on their side. That they won't convince you to join them or sell you some lie about what they're doing is for the greater good.''

He felt as if he was rambling, ''I trust you, I just don't trust them, and no matter how you toss and turn it, they are your family, they are your blood. I'm just a stranger to you.''

Olivia's gaze hardened as her back straightened up. Her eyes narrowed as Owen continued to speak, her hand balling into a fist at her side. She knew damn well that Owen had every right to be skeptical but that didn't mean a thing when it came to how she felt about Owen voicing these concerns. She dragged in a deep breathe, counting backward to ten before she managed to exhale. She looked down to her feet, grinding her teeth together as she gave a stiff nod of her head.

"They are my family, I can't deny that. But as the saying goes, the blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb. If they want to be involved in something that they know I feel so strongly about, they have every right to. That's there decision just as it's my decision to stand against them. Why not give them one more reason to disown me? After all, I'm not going to law school or med school for that matter," Olivia knew that she was beginning to ramble so she let out a huff as she shrugged her shoulders.

"This isn't... even about you specifically. It's about the dinosaurs they're trying to use for money, it's about this whole thing where someone is trying to use an innocent creature for profitable means," Olivia muttered as she ran a hand through her hair, finally moving to sit down beside Owen.

Olivia looked skyward, squinting as she cleared her throat. "Even if it wasn't you that I was fighting beside, I would still do it. For the dinosaurs, for the rights of animals everywhere."

Owen nodded slowly and relaxed his shoulders to look up at the sky. It was cloudy but the sun still peeked on through. He felt awful, he just wanted to hop into bed and sleep for some hours, closing everyone and everything out. He let out a laugh, ''You remind me a lot about Claire, shame you met me and not her.'' He slightly cocked his head to the side and looked at her. ''Although you look a lot younger.'' He smirked while eyeing her up and down.

He took a deep breath, ''What did the files say?'' Wondering a bit if she were going to tell him. He wasn't going to push her for information, but he didn't want to read them himself, at least not yet. A cool breeze came onto them which made Owen shiver. He wrapped his arms around himself and rubbed his upper arm. ''I think I'm gonna go inside and take a shower, maybe a bath if there is a tub. Oh and finally use my phone now that we have actual electricity and internet.''

With a swift hop, he got onto his feet, he stood in front of Olivia for a moment. ''I'm sorry, I'm just worried.'' He took a look at his wristwatch and sighed, ''Wanna go out for food around 8:30? And then move onto drinks and pool after?'' He dug his hands into his pockets and slowly passed her, ''I'm probably gonna snooze till we head out, but if there's anything you need, just wake me up.''

The door squeaked as he swung it open, but before he closed he quickly turned around. ''Where are we sleeping? Separate rooms or? Lockwood didn't tell me, and there are none of his people around, and I don't feel like getting lost.'' He gave her a crooked boyish smile as he waited for her to show him their rooms. Or room. He didn't mind either.

Olivia sighed at the mention of the files, shaking her head. She reached up to run a hand through her hair, not quite ready to face Owen. "I don't... want to talk about it," she muttered, looking down to her lap with a frown. "I will just... not right now. I need to sort shit out in myy own head," she said, a small frown forming on her features. She knew that Owen could take it as she was trying to hide something but that honestly wasn't it. She just needed time to process everything that was happening and that wasn't going to happen in just minutes of having the information.

Looking up, Olivia forced a smile to her face as she gave a nod of her head. "Food, drinks, and pool all sound wonderful after the day we've had," she answered, becoming a bit more animated at the thought. She cleared her throat, sitting back so that she could look at Owen properly. It felt nice that he was seemingly willing to look past what they had learned not even an hour ago.

Olivia pushed to her feet, following after Owen into the mansion. "Here, he said they're on the second floor. Opposite of each other so you won't have to miss me too much," Olivia made a lame attempt at a joke as she started up the stairs. Counting three doors down, Olivia came to a stop out front of her room. "I'm going to shower and freshen up. Maybe take a short nap. I'll see you in a few hours, alright?" She nodded toward Owen, lingering for a moment longer before she headed into her room to do just as she said she was going to.

Owen chuckled as he climbed the stairs with her, ''I'll try not to,'' he said and slowly opened the door to his room. ''Have fun,'' he smirked as she disappeared into her own room. It was extremely spacious, an already made double bed took up most of the space. There was an en-suite bathroom, and he crossed his fingers for a bathtub.

The lights turned on automatically in there as he entered and revealed a nice oval tub. ''Oh hell yes.'' He turned on the hot water and let the tub fill up. He went back into the bedroom and sat on the bed sighing to himself. He quickly grabbed his bag and quickly found his phone and charger. He plugged it in and waited patiently for the small apple icon to appear.

He put the phone down beside him and quickly checked up on the tub. It was only half full so he let it run for a bit more and started to undress. He stood in front of the mirror and inspected himself a little. His skin was a nice tan color, he did not like the facial hair though. He looked through the cabinets, and it didn't take long for him to find some shaving cream and a razor. He put the items on the side of the sink and turned around, he preferred to shave after showering or bathing.

Slowly he stepped into the tub, slowly sinking into the hot water. He turned off the tap and started to relax as the warm water soothed his body. He dunked the small washcloth he had brought in with him in the water and started scrubbing his chest and arms in circular motions.

After 20 minutes of soaking, he elegantly got out and wrapped a towel around his waist. The shaving went smooth, and when he was done his body was aching for some sleep in an actual bed. He fell face first on the bed and took a deep breath. The scent of vanilla mixed with coconut filled his nostrils, it made him even sleepier. He enjoyed it though, it reminded him a bit of his mom. He fell asleep like that, just in a towel and thinking about home and safety.

Olivia stepped into her room and despite her better judgment, she laid down on the bed. As soon as she had straightened out, she had known that it was a bad idea. It had been so long since she got to lay in an actual bed that she had no fight in her. Her eyes grew heavier and heavier, it wasn't long before she fell asleep with her face buried into the pillows. Her sleep was troubled at best but when she awoke, she felt well rested physically and really, that was all she could ask for.

Groaning as she sat up, Olivia stretched her arms above her head before she moved to her feet. She sighed as she trudged into the ensuite bathroom, not really thinking much of anything as she started the shower. The warmth of the water was enough to relax her further and by the time she was finished with the shower, she felt better than she had in weeks. Physically at least.

She climbed out of the shower and wrapped a towel tightly around herself. Olivia left the room, fully expecting to see her luggage somewhere in the bedroom. She let out a small groan when she didn't immediately see it, even going as far as to check the closets. Olivia took a moment to consider her options but she thought it was safe to step over to Owen's room in her towel, after all she was covered well enough that she didn't think it would be a problem.

Olivia knocked on Owen's door, clutching her towel tightly around herself. She hesitated when she didn't hear him and after a moment, she decided that he had probably wondered downstairs to find something to eat or something. Opening the door, Olivia peered inside. When she made eye contact with Owen, her eyes widened when she realized he was just in a towel as well. She let out a squeak as her hand flew up, covering her eyes as she grimaced. Her cheeks tinged a deep red as she tried to remember what she had even come over here for.

"I... uh, is my luggage.. in here? It's not in my room..." Olivia trailed off, trying to explain herself as best as she could.

Owen had been on his phone after he woke up well rested, just catching up in the world when someone knocked on his door. He didn’t really answer in hopes of the person would just go away, so he kept scrolling, but glanced over at the door when it was opened, revealing Olivia. Owen tried to keep his laughter in when she turned bright red and covered her eyes. '’Sorry, I already had a bath so you’re a bit too late.’’ He smiled as he looked her up and down. There were still droplets of water on her shoulders and legs, her hair was also still damp.

He put his phone down and stood up. He tightened the towel and walked over to his closet and opened it, and surely enough all their luggage was there. ''Yeah, in here.'' He said and turned towards her, stepping away from the suitcases after he grabbed his, to let her grab hers.

Meanwhile, he plopped it down on his bed. As he stood there, he agreed with himself to mess with her a bit more since she was obviously embarrassed about the situation. He unzipped it and grabbed a pair of clean boxer briefs and without warning dropped his towel, knowing that she would only see his hind side.

Casually, he slipped on the underwear and walked into the bathroom to hang the towel up. He then walked back to his bed and pulled out some jeans, a white t-shirt, and a burgundy long-sleeved shirt. He looked over his shoulder at Olivia, ''How are you dressing tonight?''

He smiled at her and looked back at the clothes, trying to decide what to wear. ''I'm thinking its gonna be a bit cold, so the long-sleeved shirt is kind of calling my name.'' He picked up the shirt and held it close to him, and turned towards Olivia to strike a pose. ''Too gay?'' he raised an eyebrow and looked at himself in the mirror.
