Land of The Dead

"It keeps my hands busy. I think that's why I like it." Ada admitted to him looking up before blinking hearing his words before watching as he moved close. She heard his words and looked at him through her lashes and asked, "Why?" She stared at him not knowing if she liked his body being that close to her.

Augustus nodded listening to her. He sat next to her, and paused for a moment, "It felt nice the first time, and I'm curious, it could help to finalise my research into soul bonding," he said softly. He reached for her, "please, I'm sure you enjoyed the first one also," he said softly.

Ada watched him and whispered, "What if I don't want to help finalize the research?" She watched as he reached for her and pulled back a little and said, "And if I say I didn't?" She knew she had, but didn't know if she wanted to do it again. She had felt so wrong afterwards. She was curious if he was going to make her or not.

Augustus looked at her, "well I was under the impression you wanted to know for sure," he said softly. He leant back from her, "But if you are sure you don't want to try it again, that is your choice," he admitted. He held her hand, "let me know one way or the other though, when you decide," he said.

Ada watched him and murmured, "I don't know if I'll like your findings." Her voice was soft and unsure. She watched him as he leant back her heartbeat having increased from his close proximity. She hoped he wasn't able to hear it, but if he was, hoped he didn't mention it. She was glad when he spoke and nodded her head. "Maybe in the future, but I haven't known you for long." She replied to him biting down on her lip and was aware of his hand in hers. His hand didn't feel nearly as cold as it had before. She wondered why that was. She gave him a nod and continued to sew.

She paused before saying, "You don't have to stay here with me if you don't want to, or if you have better things to do." She turned to lift her sapphire eyes to look into his burgundy ones. She watched for a moment before looking back down.

Augustus watched her, he understood how finally knowing it could be stressful, but for himself he needed to know. His eyes stared into her, he could sense her heartbeat, and her arousal but wouldn't mention it. "Okay take as long as you need," he told her.

"I should head out to patrol the streets, but only if you're sure," he said lightly.

Ada didn't like some of the ffects he had on her. She didn't like these feelings that much. She watched him and nodded her head thanking him for his patience. She glanced up hearing his words and shook her head, "If you need to leave, don't let me keep you." She replied.

She ran a hand through her long hair before finally tying it up and out of her face allowing her pretty features to show. Her nose and cheeks showed scattered freckles on them.

Augustus watched her sewing for a few moments, he sighed lightly. "Okay I'll leave you be, head home," he said lightly. He stood up and headed for the door, "come see me tomorrow sometime if you want," he requested.

His eyes focusing on her delicate and attractive facial features, as well as the small amount of cleavage showing.

Ada's hands continued to proficiently stitch with the different colored threads. She looked up hearing his words and gave him a nod nad said, "If I am better, I will." She didn't want him to think that if she was still unwell that she was just ignoring him.

She glanced up in time to see his eyes watching her and was surprised. "What is it?" She asked him tilting her head to the side.

Augustus paused and looked up at her again, "oh nothing, just noticing how much better you look," he said. He headed out of the room then home

Ada blinked blushing as he left. She shook her head to herself gently and sipped on the tea her mother had made for her. She sighed beginning to sew once more. After awhile, she had her mother draw her a bath and lowered herself into it and sank into the water with a sigh.

Augustus headed to his place, he was deep in thought. He really wanted her to start trusting him, and want to be around him, he was getting slightly impatient. He stripped off when he got home and drew a bath.

Ada hummed to herself washing herself. As she did so, her mind wandered to Augustus wondering if he'd give up on this chase of his towards her. She figured not since it was obvious they had some sort of connection, though she wasn't sure how or why. She sighed sinking lower into the water.

Augustus sunk into the water, his mind swimming with images of her. He drifted away slightly, thinking about her, and how he could get her to trust him.

Ada closed her eyes gently, her eyelashes fluttering against her cheeks before long she had fallen asleep comfortable surrounded by gentle ripples in the water. She woke when her mother came to check on her and smiled before standing up letting her wrap a towel around her. She kissed her mom before getting dressed again and figuring she'd be okay to go for a little walk.

Augustus remained in the water, lost deep in thought. He grew increasing aroused at the thoughts. Eventually he moved from the bath, dried himself off and climbed onto his bed.

Ada ran a hand through her brown locks looking up when she was greeted. She heard someone and looked back seeing a boy from the stables. She waved at him before he blushed and asked if she'd like to accompany him to the upcoming ball. She watched him before murmuring, "I do apologize, but I've been asked for." she told him biting on the inside of her lip. He asked who it was shocked. "Mr. Augustus Redfang." She told him before seeing the shock overcome his face.

Augustus simply lay there for the rest of the afternoon.

The stable boy looked at her, "Oh really? and you're going to go with him, even though he's you know?" he asked.

Ada held her hands uncomfortably. "I must." She replied looking up and watching him knowing she couldn't speak a word of the contract since only the elders and certain villagers were aware of it. She bit her lip gently and murmured, "I'm not much of a dancer, anyways." She tried to make him feel better.

The stable boy was a little surprised by her answer. "That's okay, I was surprised to see him, dad says he hasn't been back since he was a little boy," he told her. He paused awkwardly, "That's okay, maybe another time okay," he said.
