Augustus nodded gently, "feral's tend to keep fighting, spraying blood everywhere," he admitted. He carefully removed his coat, and placed it in a bucket. "I'm glad you slept well," he said softly. He moved towards one of the top cabinets, and pulled out some powder. He looked at her, "don't ever cook with anything up there," he commented.

Ada watched him with wide eyes having lost her appetite. She bit down on her lip watching him pull out some powder. "What is that?" She whispered as she watched him not wanting to look for fear she'd see something to haunt her in her dreams.

Augustus looked at her carefully, "it'll help clot the scratches and counter act their bugs," he said. He took a handful of powder, and patted it onto the scratches on his arms and neck. "Ferals eat everything, their mouths and claws are like a sewer," he said.

Ada wrinkled her nose listening to his explanation. She saw one on his neck and shook her head shivering at the thought of it. "Ugh." She mumbled looking away from it, before beginning to pin her hair up figuring it was time she did it for the day.

Augustus nodded, "yeah, they aren't very nice," he said. He finished treating his wounds and put the box back, "and there are still loads of them out there, I was hoping to have more people out there hunting them, or at least to be able to teach some of the human guards how to kill them properly," he said.

He moved away from her, "but I don't feel I can trust them, it used to be, humans and us Redfangs defended this town side by side," he said.

@ Joker;

Ada watched him for a moment and nodded her head lightly, "We are a small village, so we don't have many guards." She sighed biting down on her lip as she watched him wincing as he applied medicine to his wounds.

"The world is no longer the way it used to be. Maybe, you should not try living in the past." She suggested gently before watching him.

Augustus sighed and made his way to a chair sitting down. "I know, but I would like to trust them, know that at least they aren't going to come after me," he said.

He relaxed back, loosening his armor, "So Ada, how did you sleep?" he asked.

@ Joker;

"They won't. They're frightened of you." Ada murmured softly as she watched him before leaning back in her own seat.

Hearing his question she thought about it, "Fine I suppose, why?" She asked him knowing he had asked the same question earlier.

Augustus nodded, "well they don't have to be, unless they cross me," he said. He relaxed back, closing his eyes.

HE smiled softly, "That's good to hear, I was worried you might have some after effects from that other vampire yesterday," he said. He looked directly into her eyes, watching her.

Ada sighed softly nodding her head, "They don't know that, nor do they trust it. You have to look at it from a human perspective not a vampire's." She tried to explain watching him close his eyes.

Seeing him open them again, she shook her head, "Not to my knowledge." She murmured seeing him look her in the eyes. She watched him unflinching before looking away first.

Augustus looked at her, "yeah, well it'd be nice if just once they'd look at things from a vampire's perspective," he said softly. He relaxed into the chair, hoping to get some rest today.

He nodded, "Yeah I haven't noticed anything yet," he admitted. He reached towards her touching her hand.

"How are they supposed to do that when their vision on a vampire is already considered warped from your angle? They're terrified." Ada said sharply with a frown looking at him. She looked away sighing.

She pulled her hand back a little upset at the fact that he wanted them to look at it from a Vampire's angle when no one had thought to even look at it from their angle.

Augustus sighed softly and decided to drop the subject. "Come on lets talk about something else," he said softly. He sat back thinking for a moment, "do you regret making the deal with me?" he asked her curious.

Augustus was honestly considering leaving once again, the only thing truly keeping him here anymore was her. The niggling feeling he had about her, all the time.

Hearing her suggestion, she simply sat back in her chair waiting for him to speak. She sighed hearing his words and ran a hand over her face pushing some stray hairs that had failed to be caught in her bun. She shrugged, "So far it hasn't hurt me, so I suppose not." She told him honestly figuring she might as well tell him the truth.

She watched him for a moment before looking around knowing it was morning, but she hadn't felt well rested at all.

Augustus nodded gently, "well I'm glad, I will continue to protect the town, for you," he said softly. He watched her, breathing in her scent as it wafted over to him, as she played with her hair. He sighed softly, "did you sleep well Ada?" he asked quietly.

He was worried, he knew the threats to the town were growing, and his greatest concern was that the humans weren't ready to defend themselves against the purists.

Ada nodded her head, "Thank you." She murmured softly continuing to play with her hair, not having anything to keep her hands busy as she did so. Hearing his question, she looked up, "Are you feeling ill? You've asked me that question three times now." She told him concern beginning to flash over her features, her hands stilling as she waited for his response.

Augustus frowned gently, "sorry I must be tired," he admitted. He reached over taking one of her hands, do you mind if I get some rest?" he asked lightly. He looked tired, but also his eyes were a deep shade of red, and his complexion was beginning to pale slightly. It was clear that during his hunt the previous night, he'd been injured, and he'd been doing his best to mask it.

Ada nodded her head in agreement figuring that must be it. Feeling him take her hand she looked up, before gasping seeing his red away flinching. "Your eyes are red." She mumbled to explain why she had flinched feeling a little bad seeing the hurt in his eyes when she did so.

Augustus' smiled weakly, "Yes, I suppose they would be, with how I'm feeling," he admitted softly. He shifted back into the seat. He closed his eyes trying to calm himself down. He looked at her, "I need to eat," he said softly. The beating of her heart, and the scent of her that had now filled his small home, was making it so hard on him, not to just launch forward and bury his fangs in her neck.

Ada gave a soft nod. Hearing his words, she looked up watching how his eyes closed while he strained to control himself. "Should I leave?" She asked softly feeling herself move back a little in her seat waiting to see if she was going to be in danger. She bit down on her lip a little before realizing a bit of blood had welled up on her bottom lip from her teeth had pierced the flesh.
