Layla moaned and used one of her hands to pull him down so she could kiss his neck, her other hand running along his chest. She kissed him again, feeling her body reacting to his almost instantly. “Fuck,” She whispered, moving her hips in time with his. She felt herself nearing her climax and moaned his name, becoming lightheaded and falling against the pillows. She laid back and stretched turning to look at him. “Thanks again for helping with my car, by the way.”

“Don’t I? You’re a good girl from a good family, who studies and stays away from parties, isn’t that pretty much what you are?” He shrugged and turned to the tv, watching the movie and taking a sip from his drink. “It means what i said. I try not to be surprised, but if you’re not like that well we’ll get along fine,” He told her, smiling tightly.

Drew moaned as he hit his climax and relaxed next to her after he threw away the condom. He looked at her, "No problem." He said as he ran his fingers over her body.

Nova frowned at his words, Sure that was a lot of her life but she did a lot of things. She sighed, "You know, you don't have to be a butt." She said. "Now that you have done your whole nobody really likes me thing shush and watch the movie." She said as she relaxed with him.

She shivered when he ran his fingers along her skin and leaned her head down onto his chest, pulling her sheet up and sighing. “You better win tomorrow, otherwise this pre game warm up would have been for nothing,” She teased him, rolling off of him and finding a shirt to pull on. She grabbed her phone and rolled her eyes, silencing a call and setting it face down on the table.

“Yeah whatever,” He shrugged and focused on the movie, starting to get tired but thinking nothing of it. She seemed awake but he was starting to get sleepy so he fought it. He finished the beer and set it onto the table, trying to stay awake but falling asleep before the movie even finished.

Drew laughed, "We will win." He said as he watched her. "What's wrong?" He asked as she rolled her eyes. "Apparently you don't like someone." he teased her.

Nova fell asleep on Ryker, her blanket over her. She woke up at 3 AM to the sound of her dad throwing his keys on the counter to wake her up. She jumped, feeling Ryker do the same.

"Well good morning." Her dad said, looking at the two. "I don't think I am suppose to like finding my daughter with some guy on my couch this late." He said.

Nova rolled her eyes, "We were watching a movie and fell asleep." She explained. "This is Ryker by the way. Not some guy." She corrected him.

Her dad nodded, "Hi." He said looking at Ryker. "Just be glad your mother didn't find you." He said, laughing. "But seriously im going to bed." he said looking at them. "Ryker you can stay in the guest room if you want since its late." He said. He walked away, "Turn the lights off before you go to bed." He called.

Nova sighed as she leaned back against the couch. She looked over at Ryker and smiled.

She smiled a little, setting her phone down and turning away from him to the kitchen. “Just someone who doesn’t know how to take no for an answer. Told him I wasn’t interested in him anymore and he didn’t like that very much,” She explained, getting a glass of water and shrugging. “Want something from the kitchen this time?” She asked teasingly.

Ryker jumped nearly out of his skin. The last thing he expected was to have fallen asleep and woke up by her father. “Hello...” He was shocked when her dad reacted calmly and turned to Nova. “Uh maybe I should just go,” He said as he looked at her. He wasn’t sure how sleeping here might go.

Drew smirked, "Yea water would be nice." He said. He smirked as he got up and pulled his boxers and jeans on. He walked out with her, taking the water from her.

Nova looked at him, "Why? You were invited to stay." She said, laughing. She got up, "Come on. I promise not to attack you in the middle of the night." She teased him. She walked up the stairs with him and opened the bedroom door. "There ya go." She said turning on the light to the guest room. "My room is right across the hall if you need anything." She said, smiling at him.

He stared at her and laughed a bit to himself. This was the weirdest situation he had ever been in in his life. “This is really weird you know,” He told her, looking around the room. “Are you sure I shouldn’t just go?”

She took a sip and looked up at him. “Were you planning on spending the night here?” She asked teasing him and set her glass down. “You should probably go, get ready for the game,” She told him, patting his arm and opening her fridge.

Nova looked at him, "If you want to go then go." She said, smiling. She leaned against the doorway. "Im not stopping you. I am just being nice. Something you probably arent use to." She said teasing him.

Drew finished his water, "Yea im heading that way." He said as he went to get his shirt. He pulled it on then grabbed his keys. He looked at her, "So i guess i will see you around." He said before he walked over to her. He kissed her, "It was fun." He said.

She kissed him back and smiled at him. “Yeah it was fun, see you around,” She said, picking her glass back up and following him toward the door. She shut the door and turned back to her phone, trying to decide who to talk to instead. She decided on one if the freshman from the team who had been trying to talk to her for a bit and she hadn’t given him the time of day.

He snorted. “Yeah yeah fine, I’ll stay.” He murmured, setting his beer down onto the table. “I think I’ll be fine, but I’ll let you know. I feel like you’re trying to trap me but you’re not admitting it,” He said sarcastically, shaking his head and looking at the room.

Drew walked onto the field then began to warm up for the game. He was surprised to see that Layla wasn't there. Maybe the guys were right about her just liking to have sex and leave.

Nova smiled, "If i was trying to trap you I would lock you in here." She said. Nova watched him, "Why are you so afraid im going to do something mean to you?" she asked as she walked over and sat on the bed in front of him.

Layla slept in and got up sometime later, knowing the game had long since started but she hasn’t gone to campus. She didn’t feel like going and she didn’t really feel like seeing Drew she knew that past sleeping with him she didn’t want much else so she planned to get ready for the party and had one of her friends pick her up. She got ready and put on one of her favorite dresses, a red one that was of course right but showed her off everywhere she wanted to be. A few hours later she showed up to the party, heading straight for the alcohol and making herself the strongest drink she could. The party seemed celebratory so she could only assume the team won.

Taking a long drink she walked over to the other player she had been texting, Jake, who seemed eager to be spoken to. She saw Drew on the other side of the house but purposely didn’t look in his direction. She’d ignored his messages like she had the others, she didn’t think he had anything else to give to her.

“So you should let me take you out to dinner sometime,” Jake said, smirking down at her.

“You’d like that wouldn’t you,” She smiled at him. “Maybe, I’ll think about it,” She said, taking another long drink. The sooner she got drunk the better she’d feel.

Ryker shrugged it off. “I don’t know, you wouldn’t be the first.” He told her, sitting o to the bed and smiling a bit. “But since you’re so insistent on it, I’ll stay.” He told her, looking into the bathroom. “Your dad is chiller than I expected him to be. He always like that?” He asked her. This was probably the nicest room he had ever been in too, but he’d never admit it. Made his place look like trash which it was but that was neither here nor there.

Drew finished his beer, frowning when he seen Layla with another guy. He got another beer, then smiled as a girl came up to him. He spoke with her, flirting with her a bit. He actually liked Layla, but she clearly wasn't interested.

Nova looked at him, "Just because one person did a bad thing doesn't mean I will." She said. She stood up and looked at him, "Here I pinky promise im not going to do something mean." She said, holding her finger out to him. She watched as he looked at her, "Um this is a serious thing. You can't break promises." She said, smiling. She shrugged when he asked about her dad, "Yea kind of." She said. "My mom is the mean one." She said laughing.

He stared at her hand and then looked at her, but she seemed genuine. She hadn’t done anything yet so he didn’t have a reason not to trust her yet. “Alright fine,” He said, locking his pinky with hers. “But I’m holding you to this, don’t break It by doing something weird,” He told her, sitting on the bed. “Should I be out before morning so your mom doesn’t see me?”

Layla talked to the guy before Matt one of the guys from before came over, very drunk and visibly angry. She was very good at handling exes especially since she was daringly in a party with several of them. Most of them kept distance but Matt looked pissed.

“Why did you come with them and ignore me? You were talking to Drew earlier, what are you going to ignore him too?” He slurred at her.

“I already told you, Matt. You’re boring, and I didn’t want to talk to you anymore. Plus you pull shit like this and harrass me,” She glared at him, stepping away from him.

She had seen Drew earlier but she felt like what was done was done and she should let it be that, only a few of the guys ever tried to actually date her but she shut that down almost immediately each time.

Nova smiled as she held his pinky in hers, "Okay." She said. She shook her head when he asked about her mom, "Nah, she will come home and go right to bed." She said. She slowly removed her pinky from his. She got to her feet, "I'm going to bed. Let me know if you need something." She said. She walked away, "Goodnight." She said before she shut the door. She went to her room and got ready for bed before she laid down.

Drew walked by, frowning when he seen Matt bothering Layla. He grabbed Matt, "Dude leave her alone." He said. He frowned at his drunk friend when he said something. Drew sighed before he punch him, knocking him off his feet. Drew glared at his friend as he staggered to get up.

She shook her head at Matt and turned to Drew, not even sure what to say to him. “Thank you,” She said, feeling the awkwardness in the air and wincing. “I’ll let you get back to the girl you were talking to before,” She said, taking another sip from her cup. He looked like he was disappointed and she shrugged, not knowing what to say to him. “You can’t tell me you’re disappointed,” She said, raising an eyebrow.

He nodded as he watched her, shutting the door behind her. “Alright, goodbye,” He murmured mostly to himself, before sitting down onto the bed and stripping out of his clothes to sleep.

Drew looked at her, "I'm not disappointed. Im just surprised that you are as big od a heartless person everyone says you are." He said. "I actually liked you and wanted to spend more time with you, but its all good. I understand you don't want to be bothered." He said before he started to walk away.

The next morning Nova got dressed then went downstairs. She smiled when she seen her dad had made breakfast before he left. "Awesome." She said to herself as she set her purse on the counter. She assumed Ryker had left already since he seemed to not like her She heated up some eggs and bacon then turned around, gasping when she seen Ryker. "Jesus." She said, "Say something next time." She said, setting her plate on the counter. Her mom had already left for work again. she pointed to the food, "Help yourself." She said, handing him a plate. She sat at the island in the kitchen and began to eat.

Her eyes widened and her jaw dropped, laughing once without humor. “Excuse me? You knew the second you pulled up to me what kind of girl I was, I made it very clear. And now you’re mad at me because you felt some sort of way about me and got your feelings hurt? What makes you so special?” She said to him, crossing her arms.

He couldn’t help but smile when she jumped, but silently went over to the counter and pulled a plate toward him. “Thanks,” He murmured, taking a bite and yawning. “Gonna spend the day studying?” He teased her, ruffling his hair and finishing his drink.

Drew laughed, "Does this act always work for you?" He asked her. Drew shook his head, "I stopped to help you because i wanted to. Some people do things to be nice. You should try it." He said. "I don't need to prove my self worth to you. I don't know why you think that." He said.

Nova looked at him, "I don't know are you going to spend your day drink?" She replied to him. She finished her food, "I am going to meet some friends. You know those things your afraid of." She said as she stood next to him, leaning against the counter. "Then again i let you make it through the night." She teased him. "This time." She added, smiling at him.

“Act? You helped me with my car, and I thanked you. I meant that and I still do. After that you wanted me just as much as I wanted you, and we did what we did. You wanting to spend more time with me or whatever was on you,” She said, laughing and crossing her arms. “So after since I didn’t want to go out with you anymore makes me heartless? You wanted the sex too.” She told him, raising an eyebrow. “Plus I dumped one of your teammates to talk to you, you couldn’t have been oblivious to that, you punched him in the face!”

“This time. And yes daydrinking is fun you should try it.” He said sarcastically, finishing his food and standing to put the plate into the sink. “And I have friends, you met them. We’re just similar because others don’t usually want us around. You’re the weird exception.” He told her, leaning against the counter.
