Kira shook her head, “I’m not hungry now.” Lyla nodded, looking over at Brian, “I guess we’re good to go to the zoo.” She smiled, excited to be doing something they could all do together.

Hearing Lexia, Zacky shook his head, “You have nothing to worry about, I don’t think there’s anything you don’t know how to do for our relationship, Lexia.”

Lexia smiled at Zacky. He always knew the right things to say to her. "I love you Zacky. You just know the right things to say and do to make me feel good about myself." She said snuggled into him, falling asleep later on.

Brian smiled, "The zoo it is." He said as he drove on the route to the Zoo. "So what animals are you guys hoping to see? I'm hoping to see a Lion." He said, hoping to make Kira feel comfortable around him.

Kira took a minute to think as she looked out the window, “Um, I wanna see a zebra!” She said, smiling excitedly. Lyla laughed softly, “She loves zebras.” She was happy to see that Brian was making an effort with Kira.

Zacky held her close, “I love you too, so much more than you know.” He told her softly, relaxing and closing his eyes as he slowly fell asleep.

Lexia woke up the next morning with Leon calling her and Zacky's names while he was pushing on her arm, trying to wake them up. "Mommy. Daddy. Wake up!" He said once more. Lexia yawned and stretched lightly. "Okay, okay I'm up kiddo. Are you hungry?" She asked her son as she picked Leon up and kissed all over his face like all mommies do. He nodded. "I'm hungry mommy. Let's go make breakfast." He said as he escape from her arms and ran into the kitchen.

Brian smiled at Kira and at Lyla. "Zebras are my second favorite animals. I know for sure we are going to see a bunch of them, maybe even pet them." He said to the little girl before looking at Lyla. "And what is Mama's favorite animal?" He asked, before he quickly gave her a kiss on the cheek before facing the road as he waited for her answer.

Kira smiled widely when Brian mentioned petting zebras, “Really?” She looked at Brian.

“My favorite has always been the wolves,” Lyla smiled, blushing slightly when Brian kissed her cheek. She was genuinely enjoying listening to Brian talk to Kira.

Zacky was still sound asleep when Leon woke Lexia up. He moved slightly on the couch and noticed Lexia was gone, his eyes opening slowly. Zacky rubbed his eyes slowly before standing up and stretching, “Lexia? Leon?” He started walking towards the kitchen where he heard them.

"In the kitchen," Lexia said when she heard Zacky call her and Leon's name. She smiled when Zacky walked up behind her and hugged her. "Good morning, babe. Sorry, I did mean to wake you up." She said softly as she turned her to the side so that she could kiss his cheek. "I'm making breakfast, want anything?" She asked.

"Wolves are cool too," Brian said with a smile as he held Lyla's hand with his free hand. "I might have to change my favorite animal now, you two have cooler animals." He joked. Soon he pulled up to the Zoo's parking lot. "We're here.' He said seeing that Kira getting excited.

Lyla laughed when Brian said he’d have to change his favorite animal. “Lions are pretty cool though,” she smiled as she looked at him. Hearing Kira cheer when Brian said they were at the zoo, she looked at him, “Thank you for this.”

Kira was practically bouncing in her seat, “Yay!” She squealed as she stared out the window in awe.

Zacky smiled as he walked up behind Lexia and wrapped his arms around her waist, “Good morning to you.” He laughed softly, “Whatever you’re cooking smells amazing.”

"Thanks, breakfast is almost ready so maybe you can help Leon set the table and get hin washed up?" Lexia asked. Leon smiled when he saw Zacky and hugged his leg, "You're still here daddy." He cheered. He was afraid that Zacky would leave once he woke up, although he knew that Zacky wouldn't. "Come on, let's help mommy set the table."

Brian smiled at Lyla before looking at Kira from the rearview mirror as she got super excited, then looked back at Lyla. "Of course. I just want to make you two happy and show you that I'm serious and that I want to be with you and involved with Kira." He said and then kissed her lips quickly before getting out of his side of the truck and help Kira down.

"Well you are off to a wonderful start," Lyla laughed softly, smiling when he kissed her lips quickly. She got out of the truck and walked over to the other side, taking Kira's hand once Brian helped her out of the truck. Once they reached the entrance, Lyla took one of the maps of the zoo, "Where do we want to start?"

Zacky nodded, smiling when Leon hugged his leg. "Of course I'm still here, I'm not going anywhere," he rubbed Leon's back before following Leon over to the table. "Let's get the table set and then we can get you washed up for breakfast," Zacky told him as they started setting the table.

Leon smiled at Zacky, "Okay daddy." He said as he helped Zacky set the table before going to the bathroom to wash his hands. "Are mommy and I going to live with you one day?" He asked Zacky when he dried his hand, looking him wirh a hopeful smile. "I like your house, it's big!"

Brian smiled when Lyla told hin that he was doing well so far. As they walked inside the zoo, he felt Kira grab his hand with her free hand. Brian looked at the little girl who smiled at him, which he couldn't help but smile back at Kira. "Let's go see the giraffes since it's close by" he suggested.

Lyla watched as they walked into the zoo. She couldn’t help the huge smile that crossed her lips when she saw Kira grab Brian’s hand. Kira had never really had a good relationship with her father, so Lyla was happy to see the two getting on so well already. “The giraffes it is then,” Lyla smiled as they walked.

Zacky followed Leon to the bathroom and helped him when he needed it. “One day, hopefully not too long from now. I’d love to have you and mommy live with me,” he laughed softly when he heard Leon mention his house was so big.

Lexia had fixed Zacky's and Leon's plate with food and placed them on the table. "Boys, breakfast is ready." She called out to them before fixing herself a plate as they walked back into the kitchen after washing their hands. "Mommy, mommy. Daddy said that one day we will live with him in his big house." Leon said with full excitement. Lexia smiled softly. "Oh did he now? That would be nice." She said softly, surprised that Zacky would want them to move in with him, but happy nonetheless. But she knew it would take some time for that to happen.

Brian smiled and used his free hand to reach out to Lyla for her to take. Smiling wide as she took his hand instantly, he brought her close to his side and laced their fingers as they began making their way to the giraffes. "This is perfect don't you think? Having my girls on both sides." He whispered in Lyla's ear, already loving the idea of calling Lyla and Kira his girls.

Lyla smiled as she noticed Brian’s hand and took it. It might have seemed sudden, but everything between them seemed to be perfect. “I’m so glad Kira seems to like you so much all ready,” Lyla whispered back. Hearing Brian call them his girls made her stomach fill with butterflies, he really wanted them.

When Lexia mentioned them moving in together, Zacky smiled, “I’d love to have you two move in with me when the time comes.” Of course he would already start getting the house ready and he planned on setting up a room for Leon.

"You're so sweet, Zacky." Lexia smiled warmly at him. She has always wanted to live in a house so that she could give Leon a better life. But because Lexia is a single mother and receives no help financially nor does she asks for it or want it, a two bedroom apartment in the decent part of the city was what she could afford. However, she was very happy that Zacky wanted to step in and become more involved with her and Leon and become a family.

Brian smiled, "Me too. I thought I would have to work really hard to get to like me. Maybe I am actually good with kids." He chuckled as he brought Lyla's hand to his lips and softly kissing it. "I can't for the day to make you two become my girls. It's going to happen."

Lyla smiled, “You’ve been great with Kira so far, so I wouldn’t doubt that you’re wonderful with kids.” She was hoping that Brian was serious about wanting them and Lyla wanted them to work.

“Well I try,” Zacky laughed softly. Looking over at Lexia, he could t help smiling, “Besides, you should know I want nothing more than to have my family together, and my house has always been way too big for just me.”

Lexia blushed, but smiled nonetheless. "Oh you're gonna make me cry." She said softly. "You're soo good to us." She smiled and leaned in to kiss his cheek.

Brian laughed he never had been around kids until now. Of course he has been around when Zacky would take Leon out for a guys day, but he never interracted with the kid much. "I'm just basing off of instincts, but it will become natural because I already feel comfortable."

Once they reached the giraffes, Kira gasped, “Look at them!” She pointed to the animals after tapping on Brian’s hand to get his attention. Lyla smiled as she watched them interact.

“I don’t want you to cry, I just want you two to know that I’d do anything for you,” Zacky smiled.

Lexia smiled and wiped her eyes before fanning her hands back and forth to prevent tears from falling. "I know. And they would be happy tears, but I know you would do anything for me just like I would do anything for you Zacky." She said to him.

Brian smiled at Kira, "I see! They are so cool, let's get a closer look. Maybe we can pet them." Brian said, interacting with the little girl as he walked with her over to the giraffes. He then picked up Kira so that she could pet them.

Kira’s eyes widened as Brian picked her up by the giraffes. When one of them brought their head down by her, she reached out and carefully touched its head. “This is so cool!” She giggled, looking back at Brian and her mom.

Lyla smiled as she took a picture, loving that the two of them were bonding so well.

Zacky wrapped his arms around her, holding her close. He kissed the side of Lexia’s head, “I love you so much.”
