Kris rubbed his back, “it’s okay, Tao...you did what you had to do...anyone in your situation would have done the same.” He assured him.

‘I’ve never killed anybody...I-I...what do I do?’ Fresh tears spilled down his cheeks. He started shaking again.

“I don’t know...I’ve never killed anyone either...what did you do with the body?” Kris asked.

‘I didn’t do anything. I just ran. I was scared...am I going to go to prison?’

“No. I’ll make sure of it.” Kris said as he pulled him into a hug.

He laid his head on Kris’s shoulder. His tears soaked the older’s shirt.

“Are you hungry? And don’t say no because I can hear your stomach growling.” Kris said.

‘I-I don’t feel like eating...I don’t think I’ll be able to keep it down.’

Kris nodded. “Well, you should try to rest, okay? It’s almost 4 am.” He said, looking at his clock.

Tao nodded. He followed Kris out to the living room and sat on the couch, ‘thankyou Kris. I’ll try and get some sleep.’

“If you need anything, just come wake me up. Goodnight Tao.” Kris said, after handing him a blanket and pillow from the spare room.

Tao nodded. He tried to sleep, he tried for hours but he couldn’t. Not for another few hours. He finally fell asleep around six thirty am. He woke up an hour later from a nightmare. He pulled his knees up to his chest and started to cry.

Kris was coming to the living room to check on Tao when he saw him crying. “Tao, what’s wrong?” He went to his younger friend and sat down, pulling him into a hug.

‘I-I just had a nightmare...y-you can go back to bed. I’ll be okay...’

Kris looked at him. He picked him up, carrying him to his room. “There. Now if you have a nightmare, I’m right here.” He said.

Tao laid on the very edge of the bed. He was used to it. Suho only gave him a small portion of the bed or he made him sleep on the floor.

“What are you doing?” Kris asked him.

‘I-I’m sorry...’ he didn’t look up at Kris. He just looked down as he sat up on the silk sheets.

Kris frowned. “Do you want to cuddle like we used to when we were roommates in the dorm?” He asked the younger.

He looked up at the older, ‘o-okay.’
