Chasing Fire

Walking up to the door, Spencer shook his hands trying to get the nerves out. Knocking on the door he waited for her to answer as he held the bouquet of flowers he knew she liked that he'd gotten on his way there.

"I love that idea." Carrie smiled at him pecking his lips. "Movie night sounds perfect, and it's what we need." She smiled at aaron.

Kylee checked herself over in the mirror one more time before she heard a knock at the door. She smiled before grabbing her purse and opening the door. Seeing the flowers, Kylee smiled brightly, “Oh they are beautiful.” She took them and put them in a vase quickly before going back to Spencer, “Ready?”

Aaron smiled against her lips, “Good, why don’t you pick the movie and I’ll make some popcorn and get some drinks and other snacks?” He suggested.

"I am." Spencer smiled offering his arm to her. "I hope you like what I have planned. JJ kind of helped me a bit to get all my details into sort." Spencer smiled at Kylee.

"Alright." Carrie smiled picking Jack up and going into the living room. Picking out The Nightmare Before Christmas, she put it into the DVD player and put Jack up on the couch. Covering him up she sat beside her son and smiled cooing at him.

Kylee instantly took his arm and followed him. Hearing that JJ helped him a bit caused her to smile, “I’m sure whatever you have planned for tonight will be wonderful.”

Once the popcorn was ready, Aaron grabbed it and their drinks before going into the living room. He put everything on the table in front of them before sitting down and relaxing.

Spencer smiled at her, "I hope you enjoy it." Spencer told her smiling at her. Once they arrived he helped her inside and to their table. Helping her in her seat he smiled at her. Ordering them some wine, he smiled at Kylee. "You look lovely." Spencer complimented.

Carrie relaxed back into her fiance's arms and felt Jack rest his head in her lap. Stroking her son's head she smiled to herself just enjoying this. She was loving every minute with these two after what she'd went through.

As they sat down, Kylee smiled, “I’m sure it will be great.” Once their wine was brought to the table, she took a sip. Hearing Spencer’s compliment, she blushed lightly, “Thank you, you look very handsome.” She smiled.

Aaron smiled as Carrie relaxed into his arms and seeing Jack lay on her lap. He didn’t get too many moments like this, no feeling of stress or worry so he liked to enjoy them as much as possible.

Spencer smiled at her, "Thank you." Spencer told her softly. "So how was your day?" Spencer questioned.

Later into the movie, Carrie noticed Jack asleep. Smiling at Aaron she lent over kisseing his cheek. "This is nice." She whispered.

“You’re welcome,” Kylee smiled. “It was good, it went by pretty fast,” she told him. Truth be told, she was just happy to be out in public somewhere with Spencer. “How was your day?” She asked him curiously.

Aaron had noticed Jack sleeping and couldn’t help smiling. He was enjoying the simple family moment they were having. Hearing Carrie whisper, he nodded, “This is very nice.”

"It was quiet and good." Spencer admitted to her. "I am just glad it's over and we're here." Spencer admitted smiling as he took and saw the waiter sit their drinks down as he ordered the dish he wanted and waited for Kylee to place her own.

Carrie glanced up at Aaron and smiled at him, "I love you." She whispered cupping his cheek as she smiled. "I'm glad you're all mine." She admitted tracing her thumb along his cheek staring at him.

Kylee nodded, “Well that’s good.” She smiled back at him, just happy to be there with him. As the waiter came back, Kylee ordered her food and took a sip of her drink, “I’m glad we’re here too.”

“I love you too,” Aaron smiled back at her. He laughed softly at her words, “I am and I’m beyond happy that you’re all mine.” He leaned down and gently pressed his lips to hers.

Spencer smiled at her, "So tell me more about you that I don't know." Spencer smiled.

Carrie returned the lips and smacked his chest, "Stop laughing." She poked her tongue out at him as she adjusted herself a little and got Jack up before taking him to bed and tucking him in.

Kylee took a moment to think about anything she hadn’t told him already, “There’s not much I haven’t told you. I’m an only child, working at a restaurant, I’m not really close with my family. I usually spend my free time reading, drawing, stuff like that.”

“Alright, I’ll stop laughing,” Aaron watched as Carrie took Jack to his room and tucked him in. He followed and stood in the doorway to watch as she tucked him in.

Spencer smiled, "Well maybe now, your free time can be spent with me doing things?" Spencer offered smiling at her getting bravier each minute he was with her.

Kissing her son's head, she took and walked out turning his night light on. Smiling she walked over leaning into Aaron, "He's such a trooper." She whispered. "Just like his dad." Carrie told him softly.

Kylee’s smile grew as Spencer suggested they spend more time together. “I suppose I could.” She laughed softly, “I mean, I would love to spend my free time with you doing things.”

Aaron wrapped his arms around Carrie as she leaned into him, “He is. He’s a strong kid.” He kissed the top of her head, “He’s strong like his mother.”

Spencer smiled at her, "Good." Spencer told her smiling at her. "I would love it as well." Spencer told her softly.

Carrie glanced up at Aaron shaking her head. "Like you." Carrie whispered smiling as she turned in his arms walking out with her fiance.

Kylee couldn’t explain it, but ever since she met Spencer she was interested. The interest wasn’t going anywhere either, in fact every time Kylee was talking to or around Spencer, she was happy. “Well, we have to make that happen then,” Kylee said.

Aaron watched as Carrie walked away from him. He quickly followed her from the bedroom.

Spencer smiled, "I agree." Spencer told her smiling as he saw their food being delivered. "Bon apatite." Spencer smiled at her.

Going into their bedroom she took and stripped out of her clothes not realizing Aaron had followed her. Slipping into one of his tee's. She slid into a pair of her shorts and turned around. "What's wrong?" Carrie asked staring at him.

Once their food was delivered, Kylee took a few bites before taking a sip of her drink. She was just happy to be around Spencer.

Aaron followed her into their bedroom, “I’m fine, just tired.” He smiled over at her.

Carrie smiled patting the bed. Seeing him strip and get into his pajamas. She curled against his side resting her head on his chest. "I think a small ceremony in the back yard for our wedding is perfect. I don't want the big wedding." Carrie whispered to Aaron.
