My characters usually have my taste in music.
Me too. And then my characters start turning into me so then I bang my head on wall until I think of something new for them.

Every single character I create have elements of me. It's something that I need to work on, because I can't keep using the same elements... The character will get boring.

Every story I write is based off of me in some way. Most of my one- shots are though.

Ryan has writer's block in the stories where it's pertinent.
    Not that there are many.
    Just Dangerous Face and Muze.
    I don't have writer's block anymore, obviously.
But it's therapeutic for me to write about it, I think.
It's sort of like . . . paying homage to hell.
    Which makes no sense.

Brendon in Brendon Urie; Boy Genius is largely me, almost to a pinpoint of perfection. It's quite sad actually.

Patrick Stump in "Morals Matter" is actually a lot like me once I get into his character more.

In the story I just wrote.
Writer's Wall it has bits of people who's problems I've seen. I tend to do that a lot.

in running after smething you'll never kill the character Angie is loosley based on me. Except I am not a vampire... lol... I am Ray obsessed but he isn't a rebirth of my soulmate... thats just mad!!
I never write myself into stories as I am... I mean, not disabled.. if I am there it is without that restriction... so... hmm... never actually in a story as such!

I'm writing a story right now that involves only Gerard Way, a huge MCR billboard, a phone booth, the rain, a beaten-up MP3 player, and a character that's pretty much me.

Hope it turns out well. Stories like this almost never do.

(And no, it won't involve some... PWP)

I think everybody puts a little of themselves or their surroundings into every piece they write. The coffee shop scene in Elegie is actually something similar to what happened to me that same day. It was the first time I went to a Starbucks.

In the oneshot I'm working on now, the narrator is a lot like me, and I didn't mean for her to be. A scene that I was wprking on, but has been edited out for sake of continuity, was a lot like the bookstore scene in Beauty and the Beast, my favorite Disney movie, so there was some of me in it.

Denise in my Screaming Girl is just like me. Her past is actually my past. From time to time, there are some events in the story that really happened to me. Like in one chapter when they are having a sound check. Ray hears some noise and they find a girl peeping into the hall. That actually happened to me at a show in April. And very often, friends of mine appear.
And in my second story, the main character is one of my best friends. I wrote it for her.

"Rach" in My Way Home Is Through You is just like me, with the exception of me actually liking coffee and a few other things, it's supposed to be me, kinda =)

I only have fanfics on Mibba, but all the emotions in my writing and everything the charactors feel in the story are somewhat based off myself, and my own feelings.

Well, in Westchester, CJ is like a carbon copy of me with a few exceptions. Rienn is like me in Weirdo...but the description is a lot different...basically all of my leading girl characters are like me, unless I have a drawn out idea of what the person should look like. Oh! And in a recent story that I haven't even typed yet but I'm writing on paper, one of the two main characters, Brinnley Stratch, is based on me...but some things are different about her personality.

In Must Love Dogs, the dog Tank is ripped off of two things; first, I know someone with the most adorable French bulldog - Tank is based off Agnes' features. Second; my aunt and cousins were going to name their [black toy poodle] Tank, and when they didn't [she's Daisy instead] I stole the name for my own benefit. Shifty

I just read Steven King's Salem's Lot, in of the deleted scenes Ben Mears is talking about the book he's writing, and the girl points out the character is very much him. "Every author puts themselves into every story." I think that's a very true point.

In Desperate Desires and Riding In Vans With Angels the characters are based completly off me and my friends, Jinx & Scarlet are basically me, though different events have happened to make them different people than the person I think I am.

A lot of my characters have similar personalitys or apperences to me, or stuff happens to them that's based off things that have happened to me. I've written two strories recently where the MC is a journalist, and thats my dream. I think, even if it's unintentional, a lot of authors do put themselves partly into their characters.
