I've been there but I didn't think of it as much. This girl sent me a letter saying she was going to track me down and kill me because I posted a comment saying I disagreed with her blog. As long as they don't know you in real life and they are just harrassing you screen wise it really isn't a big deal.

Hm. I've never been cyber bullied nor have I ever cyber bullied before.
I guess I'm just one of those lucky ones.
But this one time this girl, kept on IMing me claiming I was some girl named Anne Marie and how she hated me.
Then she got all her friends to start IMing me and talking about all things that I had no clue about. But, I guess I stole somebody's boyfriend and kicked somebody. [I'm pretty bad ass]
But, yea I eventully got my friend to tell them off good. And they eventully found out that I really wasn't Anne Marie, and we became friends. Smile

I've been bullied A LOT on the Internet. It doesn't seem to be as bad as bullying in real life, but it DOES hurt quite bad if it happens quite a bit.

It does hurt. Having all these people say things to you that they'd never have the guts to say in real life... ganging up on you etc... it's not nice.

Did you here about a girl that committed suicide after she got bullied on the internet?

She had a fight with a friend and the friends mum made a myspace pretending to be a boy. The "boy" made really good friends with the girl and then the "boy" decided to start calling the girl names like slut and whore and the girl was so upset she committed suicide.
A mother did that. That's just terrible.

I remember reading about that. It's horrific... and for the mother to get involve, and to stoop low like that... it's horrible. Absolutely horrible.

I think cyber bullying is a punk ass bitch thing to do because that means if you only do it online, you don't have the balls or audacity to go up to someone's face and make their life a living hell.

If you says something online to them that you would never say in person, that's very cowardly in my opinion.

^^Especially when they have to do it anonymously. I had this girl harass me online and I didn't even know who it was until later.

I really think it's very low to harrass someone online. I hate it when people start fights over the internet. It seems so stupid and so cowardly. Because a lot of the time, what people say over the net, they would not have the guts to say in real life.

I've had people argue with me over Myspace and bring in the whole 'top friends' thing. Personally, I found it so pathetic, and it was so stupid. I honestly couldn't believe that she was telling me off cos she wasn #5 in my friends...

Also, along with that. It's not so much bullying, but I have a laptop that came with a webcam attatched, and I get 'harrassed' by a lot of the guys I talk to on MSN, because it shows I have a webcam. It's so frustrating. They always try and turn it on and ask me to do things for them. And they can get pretty agressive about it too. And then I find it funny (well not funny, but...) that in real life, they would not have the guts to say to me face-to-face.

I think it's stupid and shallow. Especially now, with myspace and facebook and all those anonymous "Honesty Box" and "Compare People" applications.
I've had people talk shit about me anonymously, and the application sends you emails telling you about it.

Not the best feeling in the world, huh.

If you think I'm mean or whatever, at least have the guts to say it to my face.

I've had a lot of harassment over MySpace, random people reading my About Me and not agreeing on my views. On here the only abuse I've received is someone commenting my profile with "that story you write about the gay guys is WEIRD". I reported it and I'm assuming that person was dealt with appropriately.

I also know some girls in my year did something awful to someone who thought they were either friends. Let's call the people who did it Jill and Janie and the person the did it to Jasmine. Jill and Janie made up a boy who "signed in on Jill's msn account because he wasn't allowed his own", he was called 'Kevin'. He only ever talked to Jasmine, they ended up in an Internet relationship. Whenever they arranged to meet 'Kevin' would be 'busy'. Jill and Janie kept this up for around six months, pretending to be 'Kevin'. One day Jasmine found out he wasn't real. Good friends, aren't they? The saddest part is that Jasmine forgave them.

The thing is that I don't think it would be possible to toughen up on Internet bullying. People can get banned from websites, but really Mibba is the only website I know that bans people permanently, places like MySpace you might get deleted, and then you can just sign up for a new account and the harassment continues. You can block, you can also have several accounts. All you need is a few email addresses. That's why I like Mibba, see. I think it's the only 'social networking' (it's mostly about writing, I know, but you can still talk to people on here) that deals with this stuff properly.

On the site Quizilla I was attaked by a group of a person's friends and for a year. Than the tables changed when I deiceded to make peace with the people I was fighting with for a year. This girl that was fighting with me and got more into the fight an really liked it an was a really close friend of mine at the time. Didn't take it well at all. She thoguht of me as backstabber and all war broke out for another year.

Both sides would make talk shows about each other fake internet ones making the people who joined the show as "guests" as total idiots. I had gotten so wrapped up in the whole thing it became apart of me. The whole experincess I'm done with now because I've got other things than that and its over.

Some of firs talk shows where completly nasty.

A lot of crap went on that I didn't think was possible to do for emotional harm. I'm glad I'm not doing it anymore but I do miss my friends a lot. An I love Mibba because it makes sure no harm comes to it users. The people here are really nice when ever I've had a diffrance with someone I'd apologize and that person would too or something nice would come out of the whole thing.

    I love Mibba.

A year and a half ago, somebody made up an e-mail ardess. It was something like "ihateemos" or "emossuck" @hotmail.com. Anyways, the 'name' of this person was Bree Sucks.

    I am Bree.

So, this person sent me an e-mail telling me I suck, and that I'm emo and should just die. It included this video of en emo stick figure cutting himself, and they wrote "the stick figure is you. everyone knows you cut." (I didn't cut.)

I laughed at the video cause it was so lame, but it still kind of hurts to know people will sink that low to hurt me.

I was just online one day, and there's this whole clique of girls I hate, they hate me, but we basically leave each other alone at school. Anyway, one of the girls comes on and says I was being a bitch to one of her friends. I had never said anything to them, so I asked what she meant. She tells me to stop being retarded and apologize.

I just log off. I block her. The next time I get on there's five people spamming and bitching at me, before saying that now I'm probably just going to block them, I'm so pathetic. I get really pissed off and stand up for myself.

Then, at school, I get slammed against a locker and punched in the face. Durring Gym I get a locker door slammed into my head. And I'm getting verbally abused everywhere. It gets so bad that I've now transferred schools.

I dunno if this counts but...

Last week this person started a rumor that this girl at my school shot herself. She didn't, she was out with the flu, but it started a huge deal. It was awful.

I wish cyber-bullying would be banned or something...though that would be too hard to control. :(

When I was on Quizilla, a person posing as different celebrities (s/he posed as Britney Spears, Brad Pitt, and Brendon Urie and other FBR people) left me really rude comments. Saying that my stories sucks, I'm emo and should go die, and that I should just delete my Quizilla, account.

Yeah, my stories did suck on Quizilla (hardcore), but people still messaged me saying that they liked them and I should continue. So I didn't let the comments bother me. Until there was more of them. Some just saying "spam" over and over and that I should die. Naturally, they didn't leave a link so I left a comment in my C-Box telling them to stop.

    Then, it really came hardcore.

They sent me a link. I clicked it. (I was unaware about internet safetly issues at the time =P)

It was a link to a news paper article posted the same day they sent it to me. It said that I was a pedo woman that raped people and told little boys to meet me over the internet. Then apperently, I was arrested and the interviewer asked me why I supposedly did it. Apparently I responded, "Because I like to see them bleed."

It said some other disgusting things that I don't even want to mention. It actually made me cry, wondering why someone would do that to me.

CYBER BULLYING IS BAD. THINK ABOUT IT BEFORE YOU POST.
