How Long Have You Been Writing?

I've been writing regularly since Thanksgiving, 2008- so for about two and a half (long-ass) years now.

But if you're going by when I actually started writing, that'd be sometime in third grade. I started writing (horrible) lyrics, and I wrote my first "book" then- and it had been re-written several times over the next four-and-a-half years. I finally gave up because of a writer's block, and I find that the whole idea was over done, and how I wrote was just horrible and I haven't touched it since seventh grade (I'm a sophomore now).
So that'd be... about six years I think? Give a take a month or two.

I've been writing since about grade six. So four years five or take, but I really started writing three years ago. And then I joined mibba two years ago.

About five years. But I only started taking it seriously about two years ago.

Since I was about seven, I'd say. My mum bought me a typewriter when I was really young and I used to sit under the stairs and write horror stories. Ever since I could read I've been writing. I wrote my first 'book' when I was ten and it was just... oh, cringe-worthy.

I wrote little stories about flowers and stuff when I was like five our six. As a kid I was more into music and song writing, which I still love. But I seriously started writing when I was in fourth grade. So about four our five years?

I've been writing since February.

Well... before this amazing site came, I was on quizilla. But obviously, Mibba's 100x better. Anyway, I've been writing probably since I was about 10. So five years, when I turn 15 in two weeks. :)

I've been writing maybe for two years now, but I don't post it up just because I don't trust myself to update regularly, haha. I basically write when the mood comes around... usually nighttime when I should be sleeping.

I have been writing for seven, almost eight years. Ever since middle school. And I love it. Don't know what I would've done without it.

I started writing when I was about eight or nine, so approximately 5-6 years now. :)

Nine or ten years. I was around four when I started writing stories. The stories were hand-written, hand illustrated, and sloppily stapled, depicting the Adventures of Ivy and George, because those were my favorite names at the time. Usually they went to the aquarium or the art museum (In fact I have a vivid memory of asking my mom how to spell 'aquarium' and 'museum'). You'd think I'd be a better writer by now. Most of my other stories involved animal protagonists. I recall liking dragons, cats, and dogs.

18 years.

I've been writing for ten/eleven years, I actually started writing because of a creative writing thing we did in Primary school, I wrote a four page adventure story on both sides, whilst most people only got about two pages on both sides.

I have been writing since I was about six or seven, so about ten to eleven years.

I've been writing for thirteen and a half years, since I was five. But I didn't start really taking my writing semi-seriously until I was about thirteen. I still don't take my writing very seriously at all, though. It's absolutely a passion, even an addiction, but it's still just a hobby. I'll never be a published author, nor would I ever want to be.

I've been writing for about 5 years now but have only started taking it seriously and worked to better myself and my writing grammatically and story line wise for about a year and a half.

I can claim to eight years as a fanfiction writer, and maybe three or four years as an author of original fiction. As much as I love writing, I love politics more, and the older I get the less time I seem to have to spend on writing.

Since I was about seven or eight years old, I was always a huge reader and I just fell in love with words right from the very start. I got out of the habit writing for a while when I was about 14 though. I was getting more involved in art and stuff like that, but I'm trying to balance the two things now, so we'll see how it goes.

I've been writing since I was about seven or eight as well, but not nearly as much back then. It wasn't really even a hobby back then, but rather something I did a few times a year. I didn't write much until I was thirteen, after I had joined Mibba and Quizilla.

If you want to be technical, since fifth grade which was about six or so years ago. It was a hobby then, but quickly faded. I did some more when my parents pulled me out of school to home-school me. I stopped for a long time when my brother got sick, and didn't start writing as I do now until I joined Mibba in January of 2010. So not so technical, a little over two years now.
