As a celtic fan, I'm just glad this season is over. Coming 2nd isn't that bad (even though there's only two teams that can win it.) The manger has been through so much crap that it's great to know he'll be safe for the time being. Some idiots say that he has ruined Scottish football but I disagree; the weirdos that sent him bullets, bombs and attack him are. No wonder Engliash football didn't want Celtic and Rangers to join their leagues.

    You'll never walk alone.

Also, hope Barca beat Man Utd, Sir Alex needs to be put in his place.

you mean kilmarnock can't win it?!
oh aye; i forget his name, but that's no way to treat anyone, is it?

yes! when chelsea were in with a chance of stealing it i was thinking 'if utd win, england's uefa co-efficient will def be higher than spain's' which ent the way to think of things, especially when uefa are strange anyway...
needless to say i won't be watching the final - tripping over feathers has never been my thing...

I wish this final wasn't happening. It's May 28th, right? And Spain plays an international friendly in the US on June 4th. I don't know if that's enough "recovery time."

And even though I hate Barcelona, like half of the Spanish squad plays theres, and I love the Spanish team.

I'm going to the game, and I want to see my players. </3

i do believe it is. a week difference, plenty recovery time...of course, assuming there's no extra time and/or penalties...
ent worried about ferdy or rooney not playing against switzerland, but then again i'd rather see other players than them hm

i know england play holland in august (which i am bloody excited about! we'll lose but it's still exciting) so y'know, you'll at least have your players fresh and ready for the match after that
just be glad your lot are playing a friendly, not a qualifier! (if we don't qualify for this neither...ugh)

and england ladies won 2-0 over sweden tonight, well chuffed :3 wish i could've seen it but we don't have espn :(

Maybe if the owners struck oil.

Only one team outside Rangers and Celtic have ever one the top flight league, and that was Aberdeen, whom Celtic beat 9-0 this season.

It's sort of like La Liga, only worse, like in Spain it's between Real and Barca most of the time.

Speaking of Real, I hope they don't sell Ronaldo to Man City, that's just called being a traitor (to Man Utd.) Though, I'm sure it's just gossip. Tevez doesn't need replaced if he doesn't go anywhere.

Final only a week tomorrow, should be quite an evening.

    hah, fair enough.
it does go some way to explaining the old firm. (that and the fact they're scots)

i see tevez as the type to say over and over again that he wants to leave and that he will leave, then he stays. wah.

arsenal won the womens fa cup, anyway.
also might be something to mention, all of england's world cup matches and the final are being shown on the bbc this year :3 can't wait, all my exams'll be over by then as well :-)

Wasn't one of the women that scored Scottish?

Scotland are playing Wales on Wednesday, should be good after that stunning display against Brazil.
    -please note sarcasm.
It didn't help that the guy that scored was 19 and had hair like a toothbrush.

Totally almost cried when Blackpool went down yesterday (not my proudest moment but Charlie Adam is a legend for Scotland). Hopefully Reading will beat Swansea and 're-fill the hole in my heart.'

And Celtic won the Scottish cup. 2 year and 2 months trophy drought ended. Bo ya.

kim little and julie fleeting scored, not sure of their nationalities, i'm more of a birmingham girl meself :)

i was disappointed to see blackpool go down, but i was so happy that wolves stayed up!
and i love how most of the wolves players are actually english but play for scotland/wales/ireland/northern ireland cause they can't get into the england squad haha
and i'd like reading to go up too, don't really know why but it's strange cause i used to support swansea! (then again i had a spell of supporting newcastle and all)

it ent settled to me that it's the end of the season, really. probably cause it's the world cup next month and i've got that to look forward to! the final's the day after i go to china though, gutted

A wolves player came on for NI, then they got beat 5-0 by ROI, some debut.

Scotland are in pot 4 for the world cup, get in. Hopefully we'll get some silverware in the Celtic Nations Cup too.

Also, I think there's a little game of Barca vs Man Utd tonight..... My brother put on 100 quid for barca to win, and my dad put on 50 quid for Man Utd to score first. I'm just watching it to see the disappointment on the Man U teams faces.
Still holding that grudge when they put Ceeltic out. Plus Barca play beautiful football, they deserve the cup for that.

(by that i mean they beat us in the fa trophy 2007, first match at the new wembley fffff)

I hate Barca, but I'd rather the cup to a Spanish team over a British one.

i was in a similar pot to that to be honest
it was like, do i want the team i've always hated to win because they're english (sort of), plus it's at wembley so it's like win it on home soil, even though they are cheating scum, or shall i go for the team i also hate but on a different level
s'pose i can't hate any team more than the scum, and it was sort of worth seeing barcelona win to see the looks on the mancs' faces
not to see messi's face, that was shit annoying, and villa in all of the ~*~glory~*~ just about broke my heart but yep there's no point in wishing you had a player back that you sold to get money eh

Honestly, I didn't ever see Man U holding that cup and Messi wearing a runners up medal.

Messi might have an annoying face, would at least he can run rings round Rio and say he's better than that diving bastard, sorry, I meant Ronaldo, not that he'd ever say that. Would probably choke on his own embarrassment.

Though, I thought he might tip over with the weight of the cup. That would have been a final to remember. 'LIONEL MESSI FALLS DOWN WEMBLEY STAIRS UNDER WEIGHT OF CUP'

He he, I hope Man Utd have fun on their parade around Manchester...19 titles... Celtics won over 30.

    Stevenage <3

And awww, Scotland got beat (surprise surprise) by ROI, it's not even fair, they aren't even a part of the UK.....

my dream was an all english final or spurs - valencia ;o
knew it'd never happen, neither of them two would get to the final but eh it's good to dream~*~

soldado's the best tho ent he~*~ actually, to be fair, i do believe he scored one goal less than villa, and seeing as he was brought in to replace villa at valencia, that's bloody good

love how about two people turned up in manchester yep~*~

and i do wish gervinho would make a decision on which club he's going to, for god's sake. should be more excited about ashley young really, we'd win every game, the amount of times he goes down in the box

Lol, all the English people on the radio are pissed after the draw against the Swiss. I just find it funny. Scotland would be out partying if we drew, we're going to be lucky if we finish third! It took me until now to notice that Scotland have Spain in their group.....ah crap, there goes 6 points. So typical that we're always in the group of death.

But really, England saved themselves a point.

Also, Liverpool are in for Shane Long, how dare they, he is coming to Celtic(hopefully) whether he likes it or not. Joke.

being a patriotic english person, i hate it when goals are scored against us and when we don't win, especially with stupid goals that shouldn't count
but i laughed my head off at the second swiss goal i'm ngl
our expectations are so high for a team that don't come out and produce
they don't even bloody want to play for the country, just their clubs
and the clubs whine when the players are taken for international duties, does my nut in

...are we going for him? didn't know that :l
i just hope that we get gervinho, he says I'M GOING TO ENGLAND and it'd be horrible if he went to a club i don't like :| but i hear we're going in to get wickham, which gives us enough strikers and not a left back...

Went to my first international friendly game.
It was amazing. Spain was amazing. And when they scored all those goals I was cheering and everything!
I sat next to hardcore USA fans though, they kept fighting me over who was better.
    4-0. Amazing. <3

i was confused with that match, cause on the pictures i saw, there were people in usa shirts in the same crowd as people with spain shirts on...

64 days until the new premier league season! (and the bsbp~*~)

Yeah, well soccer isn't big in the US, but a lot of people support Spain's national team over America's. There were just American and Spanish fans sitting everywhere. But it was mostly Spanish fans there, definitely outweighed American fans 6 to 1.
