Damn, double post. I blame Tevez.

    Edit

Malmo bet rangers at ibrox -drops to floor in laughter- it seems another Scottish team will fail in Europe. I guess it is up to Celtic to actually make a mark in Europe.

The Scotland manager said Charlie Adam will be the key man in his line-up in up coming games......well at least everybody is gonna have a good time when we go to Spain. (Though if the manger ever tries to play a 4-6-0 again, with no stikers, he's getting the sack.)

Celtic have soooo many friendlies to play.. Wolves (which as I type we are getting beat 2-0, probably have Samaras on), Swansea and then the Dublin super cup! And we don't even get to play Man City. Ah well, maybe we can remake the 1967 European cup final against Inter....

i'm still trying to catch up on last week's footie news - i found out a bit from chinese news - japan winning the world cup, uruguay v paraguay copa america final and bojan buggering off (finally) to roma.
then there's finding out shay given's signed for villa when seeing the team going into heathrow as you're leaving...i suppose it beats finding out by reading the news...

harriers play a wolves xi tonight - or as wolves call it, their "development squad". i love seeing these academy/reserve teams...looks to be a good one :)
the match should also feature the lovely author of this tweet:

    Image

who spells kidderminster as 'kiddiminster'. oh dear.

i also recommend not using a 7.45 kick off match as a cure for jet lag. it didn't work.

Chelsea vs Aston Villa today. Sort of hoping that Chelsea win but on the other hand, Stan Petrov will be playing for Villa. (the first celtic top I bought had Petrov on the back. I am ashamed.)

World Cup draw tonight, I want England in Scotland's group but since we always end up in the 'Group of Death' (come on, Italy and France in the Euro qualifiers, right after Italy won the world cup!?! Still manged to beat France home and away,)So Spain or Holland in pot 1 for us.

Shay Given, I swear to God commentators say his name weird so it sounds like Gibbon. would have love to seen him play for celtic, but alas, money that the English league have always beats the pride of the Celts.

I have a 6 hour train journey from Basingstoke to Glasgow and then the Celtic vs Man Utd legends game. six hours doing nothing and then watching a bunch of old Man U players run about while sitting in a freezing cold stadium. All for the starving people in Africa I guess. Little weird that Celtic only started because of a famine.

might just go book some plane tickets to Spain and take Fabregas with me, his transfer saga is starting to annoy me.

while I'm over there, I might bribe Real Madrid into playing Kaka. (never forget Istanbul champions league final when I first saw him play, was in awe after that. now that I remember, that might have been why he was booed to the most, cause he was the best.)

england's group looks like a piece of piss! we'll fuck it up though, to the delight of many, i'm sure :-))

i've been watching the highlights of the asia cup and the dublin super cup - both quite good actually! the enthusiasm when terry and kompany lifted the trophies...i assume the trophies and the medals will be gone at the next car boot sale they do.

i would like to acquire a tardis so that i can go to spain before fabregash ever set foot in england, and force him into mass murdering or something that'll ruin his visa application or just make him not come here in the first place. then i'll return here and we'll all be happier :-)

now that charlie adam's nicked jay spearing's no26 shirt (jay 'handed it over' yeah i know pfft) i'm going to be rather confused for the whole season and i'll still be thinking charlie's jay even if jay goes on loan to wolves after all...

the local paper claims that joey barton is 'in demand' or something to that effect. seems unlikely.

I laughed when all the other Chelsea players left terry in the middle. It was nice to see Torres scoring, i hope the guy does well. as for man city, if only inter had drawn with them and Celtic would have won it. picked to the post by billionaires, not half bad for a few foreign blokes and alcoholics.

i think two of the countries in Scotland's group hate each other....and I'm not talking about Scotland and wales. really, wales? how the fuck did we get wales? Though, we might steal a few points from pot teams 2 and 3. I'd rather have been in the Spain/France group. i totally imagine nasri and fabregas fist fighting after that game. And I'm sure England won't mess it up, that's what the other home nations are for. I mean sure there was a minor slip up at the turn of the century for England when Scotland beat them at Wembley (for the record, that was the best game i've ever watched) but I don't see any mojor problems.

Joey Barton? And what club would want him? Easy answer. Celtic. Why must we be in for ever player that gets released from a club? what we need is a goal keeper, because, yeah, we don't have one!

there is no such think has 'handing it over' with Charlie Adam. he stole it, probably. I mean, have Man City checked their trophy cabinet lately...oh wait, it was already like that.(I wonder if Agger is playing in the Denmark v Scotland friendly, it give him a reason to make fun of Charlie for the rest of the season. bwahaha)

I think I almost cried when an interviewer asked Celtics dynamic striker duo (42 goals between them last season, quite a pair) if Hooper was gonna get an England call up. of coarse Stokes said yes but Hooper went all quite and said something about Bent. 22 goals and Fabio still can't even have a look at him.

Finally, a big thank you to rangers for their stunning display in Malmo where they amanged to get themselves put out of the Champions League. They really showed Scottish football at its best by; missing sitters, going down to ten men after a (scottish) moron lobbed the ball at a Malmo players head, having not supporters due to their behaviour at the last European game, getting put down to nine men after another moron almost knocked another Malmo player out with his elbow and blaming their misery on the officals.

(At least Manchester Utd can breathe easy now that they know there won't be any Champions league meetings between the two.)

Thanks rangers, showing the world that scottish football isn't all about fighting, bombs, bullets, racism, hatred. Thanks again, assholes, forever you will be scotlands shame.

how did this izaguirre chap break his ankle then? i'm watching on sky sports 1, but i missed the first ten minutes then bits in between...
though i did see a cracking aberdeen dive from bloody nowhere!

i enjoyed how in yesterday's liverpool v valencia match, dirk kuyt got awarded the "was it dirk or was it sotiriakos" goal because of his celebration...if that's how you get given a goal, well...(tips for the sunday league)

and i haven't been watching the u20 world cup, mainly because there was something saying jack robinson was in england's squad but he's been playing in liverpool's preseason matches while dani pacheco's in colombia. strange.

dear lord Izaguirre! he was playing his role as best left back in the world and running down the left on the attack. It wasn't a bad challenge but he landed badly and broke his ankle. The poor wee soul, I hope the reports are wrong and he's back a little sooner.

Basically, we're fucked, our title chances fell a little as Izaguirre fell. it's sad, because he can't play, that's because, hand on heart, I can admit that Izaguirre is way too good for celtic. I tell you, he wouldn't be out of place playing in some of the top english sides.

Haha, Rangers got beat by Chelsea 3-1. and all hearts fans are gutted about getting spurs in the Europa, oh jesus, I just remembered celtic will have to play Sion with Izaguirre. fuck this.

the under 20 world cup? i only watched one game and that was spain vs ecuador. scotland aren't in it and neither are any young celtic player, I just so happened to flick it onto Eurpsport when Spain were playing. I might watch the final.

stupid Manchester United and their stupid late winners. I really wanted city to win.

someone said "five minutes of added time is short for utd". literally 'until we win' ._.
saw the score when it was 2-0, thought brilliant, then the next time i looked it was 2-3 weren't it

anyway, west ham v aldershot off, charlton v reading off, palace v crawley off, bristol city v swindon off and more disappointingly england v netherlands off. yet ghana v nigeria at watford isn't off hm.
been looking forward to that england match for the past year ain't i! so yes feel free to laugh at my misfortune while spain are unaffected coughbastardscough
(on an irrelevant note cameron makes his statement when i have to be going to work ffff)

also, the eredivisie began on friday. five players have been sent off in what i think is nine matches. hm.

this celtic v utd match. celtic had better win what with ricky whittle on utd's side >_>; /hatethebastard

Larsson hat-trick, are mighty king of kings has still got it. "You are my Larsson, my Henrik Larsson, you make me happy, when skies are grey. We went for Shearer, but he's a wanker. Please don't take my larsson away." When we went 2-0 down I thought 'Shit, we need to get our act together pronto.' Cue Larsson scoring 3 and killing the filthy red devils - cue 'Stand up if you hate man u, stand up if you hate man u.' And fuck did we all stand up.

As a plus, we sang You'll never walk alone for the first time in ages. #dies a little.

I'd be pretty pissed of they canceled the Denmark v Scotland game. I love seeing where Kenny Millers tan line stops. And David Goodwillie (so thankful he got cleared of rape charges) i like him, and I'm glad he didn't go to rangers.

My boyfriend said David Silva was his favorite midget. no, i don't know either.

Fabregas has finally buggered off to Spain! Though watching SkySports news had driven me up the wall with all this Arsenal stuff. Twisted Evil Now all the world needs is more Nasri to jump ships and then we can all get on with our lives.

Beram Kayal. Out.Gary Hooper. Out. Emilio Izaguirre. Out. Glen Loovens. Out. Kris Commons. Out. Honestly, I don't think Celtic will have a team to take on Sion.

Torres actually played well for the first time in ages. And Shane Long did well, but I feel sorry for De Gea, if Man Chester Utd fans are complainign about him then he can have Celtic's goalkeeper >.< the goalkeeper that is as useful as Joey Barton is good at keeping the peace.

OH MY LORD SCOTLAND ACTUALLY PLAYED WELL AGAINST DENMARK. AND WON! the newspaper said we're all over reacting and reminded us that it took Scotland 97 mintes to beat Liechtenstein (which is fair) but quite frankly we have the confidence now to take on anyone.

I'm glad the leagues is back up and running. I can't wait for La Liga to start as well, I'm following Athletic Bilbao this season and in the Europa.

Manchester City are looking good this season with Aguero. He and Silva look like they could be quite the pair and such a hassle for the defense. Nasri coming in would either be good or bad, maybe he could link up with Dzeko because he seems to have settled down this season.

I giggled when I heard Blackburn put a bid in for Raul, do they think he's stupid? He's one of the best Spanish players ever, he just missed out on being part of the super power generation of Spaniards that currently dominates the world.

I watched SkySports this morning, and what they were saying about Scottish football was reaching the point of disrespect. I've only lived in Scotland for three years, but I know fine well that both Celtic and Rangers are very good teams. The only thing that's different is money, English clubs should be forced to go into a transfer market with the money that the Old Firm do. How the hell a couple of years back Celtic had the talent in their squad to beat AC Milan and Manchester City is beyond me. One of the guys said that there are no world class players in Scottish football, well, yeah, when ever they do have a brilliant player, they get lured away big richer clubs (not bigger, because I doubt Caldwell would have moved to Wigan because they were bigger.) Scottish football is a taste of what used to be, before the big money started flowing in. Neil Lennon said last season: 'Some people in the game need to take a serious look at themselves in the mirror.' Maybe English journalist should listen to that, because when the critise a game that they don't understand, it's just stupid.

Scottish football isn't dead, English clubs just need to get off their high horses and see Scottish clubs for what they are.

(Comig from a Blackburn fan cos we fail)

Well, that's Scotland out of the Euros, and all it took was a Czech player to dive and the ref to believe him.

It's sick, Danny Wilson didn't even touch him, but he went down anyway.

I guess it was wosre for me this time because I actually believed we could do it. But Scotland couldn't. Again. And it's really starting to hurt.

On the bright side, Celtic are back in the Europa League! Scottish football his no longer utterly pish.

I don't know who was worse; Scotland or England? I mean, 4th in the world and we still can't look comfortable playing at home. Wee Barry Bannan played well for Scotland, hopefully it'll brighten up his future at Villa (I laughed when he tried to take the ball off of Fletcher to take the penalty. cheeky git.) And Blackburn's new signing David Goodwillie had a half decent game as well, him and Formica will run riot around the defence of many teams I am sure. I just hope to God we don't end up one of those sides again that leave it to the last day to haul our asses out of the relegation zone.

Champions League winners 2012? I'm putting my money on Genk.

sunday's liverpool match was absolutely shocking. ignoring adam's and skrtel's double bookings, liverpool could've not turned up and played a better match than that
fucking evesham united could've played better than that
just ridiculous, i hope the second choice players do a good job against brighton, and win this time!

the highlight of the weekend was at the match i went to:
steve guinan's booking. an opposition player dives down, then guinan tries to tell the ref what's going on, and then you see him dive down as well! booked for dissent, still a good laugh :3
also, one of alfreton's players got two bookings but didn't leave the pitch...

I think I'm still in shock after that Blackburn win against Arsenal (or a team disguised as Arsenal.) I'm thinking of starting a protest against the protesters.

Liverpool were still on the bus when they played Spurs. As for the bookings, Adam had a case but Skrtel just looked helpless in that position. I hope Gerrard plays tonight against Brighton, it'll give the Kop a boost.

Oh dear, words can't explain the pity I have for Torres after that miss. But on the bright side, at least Rooney ended up on his arse.
