I get real sad when I loose subscriber Cry
Especially if it's because I did one lame chapter (as opposed to the story gradually getting worse and worse).

I don't generally check that often considering I have only one chapered fic that's going. So no.

I always look at my story page to see when I last updated a story, so I often see the subscribers/readers/comments.

And yes, I do notice when I lose them. It doesn't usually bother me though. Because I write for me, not for anyone else. Others just happen to like it and if they lose interest, I won't hold them or myself accountable for anything.

I generally notice if there's been a large increase or decrease but usually I can't really remember how many subscribers I had last time I checked. I try not to because it's really gutting when I realise someone's unsubscribed. Mostly because I really, really want to know why.

I usually don't remember but if there's a lot more or a lot less, I'll notice. I hate when people unsubscribe without telling why; I'd really love any criticism I can get.

No, not anymore. The only time I would notice that kind of thing is when I check my stories page, for whatever reason. I used to freak about losing subscribers but not to so much anymore. I've unsubbed from stories before because I've lost interest so it would be silly of me to freak out about the same thing.

There's a story I haven't updated in 15 months and in that time I've only lost one subscriber. I guess that shows commitment even though I'd understand if they all decided to unsub me.

Not really. Either I don't lose any, or I lose one and gain another.
    Shifty
    I've never noticed.

Agreed. If they unsubbed because of a crap update but didn't leave a comment or say anything about it, well then...that doesn't help me out. I'd like to know if my story is so bad that someone unsubbed, you know? So I can work on it and make it better.

I have one story where there's about five or so. And I look at the number and I think ".....did I gain a subscriber or was it always five?" and then I stroke my non existant beard in thought for a while. And then I'll do that every single time I look at the statistics. XD

I feel a little bit deflated, but I still update for the others out there, and try to make it as good as I can, as they probably unsubscribed because of bad writing :)

I notice all the time! It makes me feel bad and sad, I'm like, was it something I wrote? What did I do? Why? and then I go into a deep depression and live on Ben & Jerry's ice cream and watch The Way We Were over and over again...well, everything but the last three are true...*sigh*

I usually notice, but I don't give it too much importance. I have let my readers know that if they find something about the story that should be pointed out, they should notify me so I can re-read everything very carefully and decide whether or not I find it necessary to change anything about my story. I just hate it when people randomly unsubscribe or report and don't even care to explain why.

I notice it because I don't generally get a lot except for a select few that have a certain similarity. It doesn't really make me that sad because I don't expect my stories to appeal to the general mibba population. Con

I notice, but only because I have only two stories and neither have a ton of subscribers, so it's just easy to like, subconsciously keep track. It doesn't bother me at all if I lose any, though. I just don't care. XD
