    You're a life saver @_@

Oh, and sometimes I used "called" (like, "called out,") for a character talking to someone else in the next room or something.

    Hail
    I. Love. You.
But maybe you should add another section, for talking in a questioning way? You know, words like asked, probed, queried, interrogated....

    Great idea! ^_^ "Questioned..."

Oh, and I like to use "chirped" for when people are responding happily. "Beamed" is good, too.

Also, does anyone know another word for "Grin?" I use that word constantly. D:

    Dunke, my darlin'. :cute:

As for other words for grin: Smile. Smirk. There's not very many synonyms for it that I can find.

Hope I helped. Even though I only gave you two words. :)

Thank you for this! I've been trying to avoid the word 'said' in my stories.

It's actually better to stick to "said" unless absolutely necessary.
Other tags tend to sound overdramatic or amateur, and can draw attention to the word and away from the story.

"Said" gets a little overused and in some stories, people want to show emotion in what the characters say. Said is okay, but when you want emotion and feeling, other words could be used.

Agreed. Said isn't always a bad thing.
