Where Do You Work Now or Where Have You Worked in the Past?

  • I have two wonderful jobs.

I work as an Administrative Assistant for a contracting company. I answer phones, take care of accounts payable, do basic office work, and I get to joke around with my boss. I'm the only felmale working here. Pay is okay, nothing special. But unlike other jobs, even if there is nothing to do- they won't have me go home early, they will pay me to sit around and play on the internet. They get how tough times are!

I also work as Guest Services at a music venue- First Midwest Bank Amphitheater. it's the largest in the midwest! I deal with customers complaints, give information out, sell tickets, help disabled to their seats, manage item check-in, manage lines, and just hang out and listen to music. I don't get discounts on concert tickets, but I can request to get off early and get to stay and watch the show for free! I did that for the MCR/Blink 182 show. It was great.

  • I just started working at Which Wich. It's a small sandwich chain based in Texas and it's awesome. The way the restaurant works is really innovative and a lot better than Subway. I started off at $7.50 because I have experience. I'm really happy with it because I get to work mornings and open (I HATE working nights) and the people I work with are great. I also don't have to actually talk to customers. I love working the back haha.

  • I'm started working as a Library Page for my local library at the beginning of the year. I shelve books back in their place, help keep the library neat and tidy, and help and answer patron's questions. My co-workers are pretty awesome too. I absolutely love it.

  • Recently started a new job at a company called Upstaging Inc. It's a lighting and transport company that does theatrical lighting for concerts, shows and stuff like that. They've done lighting for bands such as My Chemical Romance, Fall Out Boy, Panic! At The Disco, as well as older bands such as Sting, Phish, Def Leppard. And also shows like WWE, comedy shows, and stuff like that. I work in the warehouse/cable department pulling and labeling cables to get sent out to these shows/tours that get used in the lighting set-ups. Ultimately I could end up going out on tours setting up for shows. I love my job so damn much and never thought I'd get into a job like this...ever.

  • I used to work as a bartender tattoo artist, but I quit that job so I could work in a restaurant. I still work in my bartending job, but not as much. When my boss needs me, I go. XD

  • I used to work at Braum's, which is a fast food/ice cream/convenience store in the Oklahoma/Missouri/Texas/Arkansas area. Now I work at an answering service. So if you call about that Mesothelioma commercial, and Meagan answers, you got me! :)

  • I start work as a sales associate at a fireworks store this Wednesday. I'm a little too excited.

  • I work as a receptionist. It's about as much fun as you think it is. The office is practically Mad Men for extra soul crushing points although I can pretty much do whatever on my computer short of looking up porn. So I guess it's not that bad.

  • I work as a desk clerk at a local motel. I don't really have any past jobs, this job is my first real job. I'm responsible for checking people in, renting as many rooms as I can for a decent rate, making reservations, and overall just keeping the customers staying with us as happy as possible. It's a fairly simple job, except for when something breaks down in one of the rooms and I have to figure out how to fix it or when you get one of those rude customers who just won't lighten up.

  • I start working at the fast food restaurant Hardees on the 21st of this month. I am going to be cashiering and cooking. Let's see how this goes. :P I use to work at a nursing home in the kitchen washing dishes, not to hard.

  • - My first job ( at 16) was at a summer day camp for children with cancer and their siblings, as a counselor. I loved it! I loved my campers, and it still hurts that I had to leave them Cry
    - I volunteer at another summer camp for children and their siblings with cancer, but that's unpaid and for just a week in August.
    - My second job (at 18) was at Nordstrom. I loooooved it, I was on the Stock team. So basically I opened the new shipment every day, unwrapped it, and left it for the manager's to figure out where to put it. I also organized the back stock room, fulfilled direct to customer orders, got stuff ready to be sent to the discount store (the Rack), and applied sensors. I also was on the Web team, which took online orders and prepared them to be sent to customers ASAP. I got paid like $10 an hour here, which was wonderful.
    - and now I work at Nordstrom Rack, which is the discount Nordstrom. I get paid more here (about $12 an hour) which is wonderful, and I'm a sales associate in the women's department :) I get a discount (I did at Nordy too), get to clean, organize, size, fill in, and ring up customer's all day.

  • I currently work at the coffee shop/restaurant downtown called Perc Place. I love it even though sometimes it gets really overwhelming and I don't like the boss.

  • I'm a fulltime novelist and a part-time private tutor. I love both my jobs, even if I couldn't make a decent living with just one of them!

I'm also at university, so I suppose I work at being a student, too.

  • Dunkin' Donuts. It kind of sucks since everything has to be done FAST FAST FAST, and having donuts and sweet drinks surrounding me really sucks when I'm on a diet.

  • I work as a stylist at a hair salon and I love it.

  • USED to work at Burger King. That place is absolutely horrible. The managers are horrible people(in my experience) I think they're bitter that they're 50 and working there instead of being retired and rich. I am also a Vet student, which is AMAZING. =]

  • Worked at Omaha Steaks for four days, going back to OfficeMax.

  • I suppose it doesn't really count because it's a summer job, but I work for a horse tour business by giving the small tours (1-3 hours) to the American tourists. I only really got it because I'm friends with the owner and because I can speak English better than he can. It's really awesome because I'm basically getting paid to do what I would be doing everyday anyway, and he lets me ride my own horse. I only get paid $5/hour, though.
