mkay. I've been dying my hair a orange/red for the past couple of months. The dye is the lorel hair moouse and it's non permante and it said it should wash out in 8-10 shampoos. Recently, I have wanted to dye my hair back to a light blonde that it was originaly. So last night, I did. The routes and all the underside of the hair came out the color put the tops of my hair stayed the faded red it has been. I do not want to use bleach and I didn't. Does anyone know what could have caused this?
    I didn't see that...oops.

Well, how many times did you apply the dye, because Loreal is usually a reliable product to use.
Try leaving it for a while, even though the color is probably screwed up beyond belief, maybe it will wash out.

Well, if you had it before and liked it, I would say it looked alright.
Personally, I think that the chocolate brown with black 'chunks' wouldn't be a very flattering color, if that's what you want, you should get it.

Haha yeah, there not exactly chunks..

I've been putting it in fully since mid summer of 2006.
and I do it every like, two-three months. I recently just tried some chemical that is suppose to get rid of build up on hair, what the red hair color is, and it only lightened it. I left the blonde on for like, a half hour, directions said 20 minutes and it still didn't work.

You should have just used permanent dye, the temporary kind just builds up over time.
Try consulting a hair dresser about what you should do to get rid of the color. Maybe they'll have some home remedies that will work.

Okay, so I got bored last night and totally pampered myself, and today I feel AMAZING (and I must say that I look a lot better than I have for a while), so I'm gonn put up my beauty thingy. I would definately suggest not doing it more than once a week, especially the face part.

    SKIN
So, I took a warm shower. Not hot, not cold, but I'd say about ten degrees warmer than room temperature. I used two different soaps, one bar that was moisturizing and happy, and some body gel stuff that smelled really minty. I'd say use some scent that your really like. I also like aromatherapy. Minty is good if you're tired, lavander and vanilla are both good for relaxing, etc. I also shaved, which is always good. Then, after everything, I rubbed lotion on my arms and legs and some of my sister's awesome foot cream by Burt's Bees. I don't think Burt's Bees is just a local thing, but if it is, it's just a brand that uses natural stuff to pamper your body.

    HAIR
In my shower, I washed my hair like I normally do, but after I put the conditioner in, I got out, wrapped my hair in a towel, and washed my face before I rinsed it out. It feels all yummy and soft and uber shiny.

    FACE
Okay, so very once in a while, or when I'm breaking out more than usual, I wage chemical war on my face. Before you even try, go out and get yourself a Buff Puff. It's kind of like a loofa, but mine is all plastic-y. I think I might get a loofa. Just don't use a washcloth if you get any zits at all. Okay, so I wahsed my face with that and some really nice home-made soap that my mom's best friend made. Then, I used a washcloth to put Witch Hazel all over my face. This dries your face out, so don't use it very often. Finally, I put on some zit-killing cream.

So yeah, that's my new beauty thing, and I'll definately say it works well for me. I have dry-ish skin, thick-ish hair, and I don't break out much unless I'm really stressed or really dirty. If you have a massager, or someone in your family who gives good massages (or a friend or boyfriend), I'd totally suggest using that. I'm the only one in my family or group of friends who gives halfway-decent massages, and my sister stole our massager, so I can't do that, but massages are good.

So yeah, that's my home-made spa-treatment, and it only took about half an hour. I'd try it, if I were you!

I have thick, naturally curly, frizzy black hair that goes to about my shoulder blades. It takes about 4 to 5 hours to straighten because its so thick, but I was wondering, if I cut it to about shoulder length, get it thinned out, and get the side-bang, choopy, emo-girl haircut, will it be easier to straighten?

Probably not. But I'd suggest Sunsilk brand shampoo. For frizzy hair, I'd use Anti-poof, it's what I use and it's AMAZING. THAT will make your hair tons easier to straighten.

that's me. urm, i don't know if you can tell, but parts of my hair were dyed a darker red there. so i was wondering what colors i could dye it without bleaching it that would at least come out to some extent.

also, i feel kinda like i wear a lot of well...what everyone else wears. black eyeliner and brown eyeshadow. my eyes are brown (dur). what kind of makeup can i wear for that that's not so boring?

oh and if anyone has an opinion, i have to get a graduation dress. im kinda wondering about styles of dresses to look for. i have short, sorta fat legs, kinda broad shoulders and i tend to carry weight around my hips and chest...does anyone know the kinds of dresses i could wear and look okay in?

thanks. i know its a lot
    love you all

Okay, I don't know about for anything else, but I can do the hair. You have hair like mine, only mine is substantially darker. Now, I did this once and it was, for lack of all modesty, beautiful. I dyed it red BUT the red I used was made almost entirely of peroxide so I had no need to bleach it. The only thing I would suggest is that you go to a salon; that's what I did and I have a feeling that if you don't get a professional to do it, it may end up very wrong.

That's my two cents, I have no idea about any of the other bits.

Well, except for the dress. I'd go with a halter top dress that ends at your knees. Colour, probably red, either a deep blood red or a bright, sort of fire engine red.

Usually people who have black hair don't get highlights because they take away from the dark, rich color of their hair. But, if you are really bent on getting highlights, I would suggest a dark, chocolatey brown that would blend in well with the base color. Bright blonde/red highlights are sooooo '01.

Your eyes are pretty much the exact same color as mine (which is kinda creepy, if you think about it too much).

I usually use balck eyeliner just for a dramatic effect, black mascara, and light colored eye shadow. I have this gorgeous eye shadow that some random guy at the mall was selling that I really like. It's MicaBella Iced Orchid, and it's a really really light purple-ish pink-ish iridecent powder. I like purples to make the brown stand out a lot. Also, gold looks nice (your skin tone is close to mine, as well), because it makes you look a little bit tanner and it makes you brown eyes pop.

I hope I helped you at least a little bit. Just play around with light colors you like. Go to Wally World or some other place with cheapo makeup and buy some to experiment with.

If you're looking for hair that's easier to manage, I wouldn't suggest getting these type of haircuts. They require a lot more effort than your hair does now.
However, if you wanted a nice manageable cut, you should try getting a sleek bob, with a few long layers.
Also, I don't think that dark red would flatter your skintone. Perhaps try a darker, richer brown with copper highlights.
