Most of my ideas come from me sitting around... Doing nothing.
The idea for my story Scripted Destiny came from a Daughtry song, 'All These Lives'.
That's what the story was called.
Then I decided it sounded too soap-opera esque.

Sometimes I can't explain a feeling or a thought I have, and I write a story in hopes of expressing it.

    How nice. :cute:

The idiots around me. Disgust I either write to block them out or embrace them as antagonists.

I've been thinking I should try and write something about sisterhood. I've tried a couple of times already (so far I have created two plots and have posted a one-shot yesterday). I feel so inspired about it, even though I don't have a sister. I just have a friend who I look up to as a sister, and she is the biggest inspiration I've had so far.

My topics, most of the time, are usually where my inspiration had taken me.

A lot of my stories are drawn from personal experience. But some of the more fantasy oriented ones are from songs or when I have an opening sentence in my head that I need to write down.
I haven't really found a specific genre that suits me yet, I'm still trying to 'find my voice' so to speak

Usually just song lyrics or things that I see happening around me. I like walking around in the mall and watching what other people are doing so it gives me ideas for my stories.
    :]
That may sound creepy, but it's true! Sometimes I see TV shows and they make me want to write too. I mean, it's like, I see characters from different shows and pay attention to their personality and stuff, then I just put them together, and that inspires me. Or sometimes I just like one specific character and make up another person to go along with them XD
But I'm usually never motivated to write, even if I have an idea. I get all fired up when someone provokes me about my writing though! XP That does NOT mean people should make fun of me. It hurts my feelings XD
Oh, and I get motivated when I see a really awesome movie or read a good book too. But I haven't been for a while.
    =/
I should get out more. XD

My Freddie Mercury story, Reaching For the Sky, was a lot about my dad.
While it's actually about Freddie Mercury and nothing in there really hints at anything else, I was inspired to write it after my dad died, as an outlet.
I got to write about my dad's death without actually writing about it.

    Right before I sleep,
my imagination goes like, crazy wild.
I'd be (night) dreaming of things that I know would never happen to me.
    Sometimes,
I just have to write it down to remember it.
Then, it naturally becomes a story by itself.

When I need to escape this world and everything difficult about it.

... so I create a fictional world and make my characters go through terrible shit. :lmfao

I'm glad I have an overactive imagination, otherwise I would truly be trapped in this frustrating reality. ._.

Most of my inspiration I get from songs. The music I listen to can be very open to interpretation, so yeah. I'll be lying in bed at some unholy time in the morning, throw my iPod on shuffle, and something will hit me.

Movies sometimes light a spark, too. Dead As We was inspired by The Crow, and a couple of possible upcoming stories are loosely based on Brokeback Mountain and Dracula.

I now have a little notebook in my room for anything that pops up. :XD

I get inspiration from books, films, songs and my own imagination.
I can think of an idea anywhere.

I get inspiration from what I want to happen. Or what I would like to read in a book or see in a movie :tehe:
Since I can't have someone else do it for me, I do them myself. :XD

TV and dreams mostly. That's what I do most of the day, so inspiration comes naturally from those sources.

Mostly music, past experiences and dreams, of course. Sometimes I'm just hanging around, in the mall or before I sleep, and it just HITS me. I try to write (or type) it down quickly before I lose the thought (it HAS happened before.). ;)

I write the mixed up feelings I have inside down. The things that confuse me about life.

    It's all there.

And sometimes I just write because I feel like writing it.

My ideas just come out of the blue, really: I never suspect that I'm going to get sudden inspiration to write a new story, or a one-shot, whatever.

When I'm reading a book, I always tend to notice the not-so-important characters. You know, the one guy you see sitting alone in the bus, staring at his nails; or that one teenage girl walking around in the mall aimlessly. So, I thought, 'Why not write about them?' It's the easiest way for me. I already have a chracter, so all I need to do is put my imagination into work, and, before you know, I'm working on the first chapter, ready to go. :XD
