after i turned veggie i just can't really eat any fast food! I just love cooking too much to buy fast food! Tbh if i don't feel like cooking then i usually fry an egg (sunny side up mmmm) with two slices of fruit toast (mmmmm)
If anything sometimes when i'm shopping for horoscope charms or japanese back issues of Gothic&Lolita Bible i would go to covent garden and nom a bentou box- i used to have this awesome tonkatsu bentou (tonkatsu is pork cutlet, i loved my pork) can't wait to try the vegan bentou when i go back there! To say we have McDonalds, KFC, Pizza Hut and Burger King within walking distance of my college, I rarely eat fast food. In all honesty, I'm not overly keen on it. Not gonna lie though, I do have it occassionally, but I'm not one of those people that have the routine of having a McDonalds on a weekly basis or anything like that.

I once read in a magazine that there was more fat in a McDonalds milkshake than there was in a Burger King cheeseburger or something along those lines. Stats put me off it as well, what with the amount of rubbish in them.

It's rare that I go out for fast food, maybe five times a year. Usually it's McDonald's or Wendy's when I do.

I'm the type of person who would rather sit at home and eat a salad than go out for fast food.

I don't like to think of myself as a big fast food eater.
I very rarely have frozen dinners. When I do buy fast food, I'll usually get Subway or sushi (if that counts). Occasionally some popcorn chicken from KFC. I've had McDonalds maybe once in the past year and a half. I generally just hate burgers, so that rules out quite a lot of options for me.
So yeah, I'd like to think I haven't succumbed to fast food culture :cute:

I don't really like fast food. It's all very oily and salty.

However, I do buy things like Subway and Sushi from time to time, which I'd like to consider convienience food as opposed to fast food. :XD

I'd personally consider Subway fast food. Meatball and cheese sandwich? Chicken teryaki smothered in oil? Several different sauces to choose from? I've seen my brother eat a meatball sub. It's a fricken heart attack in a sub. Probably just as high in fat content and as low in nutritional value as a Big Mac or the like.

The only fast food place I really eat is Subway, and I don't really consider that fast food. There is nothing fast about getting out of you car, ordering and supervising the making of you sub, paying and leaving...No, I jest, I jest, lol.

When I think of fast food, I think McDonalds, Burger King, KFC, Taco Bell...Roy Rogers...stuff like that. The last time I ate McDonalds, I swear, I could feel my arteries clogging. The amount of fat and greece they put in that food is disgusting and should be illegal. I can't sit there and put that crap in my body.

I haven't succumbed. And proud of it.

    I know. :shifty

But those examples I gave are examples of the type of food you can get at Subway. Subway is fast food, simple as. But hey - you keep on believing it isn't. I just don't think it makes much sense to set Subway apart from other fast food chains, because it's really not as healthy as people make it out to be.

^It depends on the choices you make. If you choose white bread, some creamy dressing, cheese, heavily processed meat and whatnot, it will be unhealthy. Alternatively, choosing healthier bread, no dressing, tuna and just vegtables, the nutitional value is substantial.

I tell myself that I won't eat fast food anymore, but that doesn't really happen. I do enjoy fast food. My family's very busy, and sometimes fast food is the only way we can eat before 10 pm. I like Burger King and KFC, but Arby's is my favorite. I've sworn off of McDonald's fries since the time I almost got sick from all of the oil and grease.

I'm a casual fast-food eater--I eat it occasionally (I think about once a month, but I don't keep track), and I don't have an especial affinity or distaste for it. Every once in a while I go, Man, I would kill for some In-'N-Out, but that's pretty rare.

Supersize Me put me off McDonalds a little, but I usually just don't think about it when I'm chowing down. Man, there was this AMAZING burger place where I used to live that was even better than In-'n-Out, but I live pretty far away from there now, and it isn't a chain, so I don't go there anymore.

Well, that was pretty lengthy...long story short, I'm pretty neutral about fast food.

^ Same here. I eat out, yeah, but to an extent. Considering the high amounts of salts and carbs it has, I try and go for the smaller sizes. Supersize Me... wow that was... educational, for a lack of a better word. The one clip I can't forget is when he's pulling out that long hair from the yogurt cup. Smiley I'm paranoid of eating yogurt/ice cream now.

    Chiming in on Nose Candy and FineLine's conversation;
Yes, Subway is considered a fast food place.
But that also raises the question; where is the line drawn between fast food places and restaurants?

Well, I personally see any convenient food place as being fast food. Any take away food place, even if it's sushi for example. A restaurant isn't really convenient to me because it's a sit down meal and you don't usually have the option of 'on the go' (although some fast food places refer to themselves as 'restaurants'... but they're not the type of restaurant I'm talking about).

So for me, I'd draw the line at whether you can conveniently take the food away and have it on the run. Hence 'fast' food.

Yeah I think fast food is all about convience as well. Something you can get and still go on about your day. While resturants you have to wait to be seated, order your food, wait for them to make it, & then wait for the bill. I think the convience factor has affected alot of people though.
