Is My Name Really That Weird?

Butterfly is such a pretty name! My name is Gretchen which no one has a real problem about, but it's my last name that people make fun of, it sounds like ostrich (or so people say)

I am teased because of my last name.
It's just because a part of it means something like masturbation.
And every time they call out my last name, they would stop at those two syllables and laugh while looking at me.

My name is Beth... it means 'house' in some language...so I'm House... *giggles* Like the show! I love that show... Well actually my full name is Bethany but like it matters, my name still means 'house'. And Butterfly is an awesome name, 'nuff said... my middle name is Rose so yeah, in the seventh grade I went around telling everybody that my name was Rose, but most of the kids there already knew me and kept calling me Beth instead of Rose... so yeah, that sucked...

My mom told me that my dad named me after some chick, with large boobs that was on Star Trek, named "Tasha." People used to call me Tasha Bear and now since my sister read "Tashi and the Haunted House" she calls me that. DX

My name's Antoinette. You'd think, what with there being a famous french queen that got beheaded with the same name people would get it right, but no. I have had quite a few variations throught the years, and it's sort of amusing.

My middle name's Marie. Sort of funny. It wasn't even intended that way. My mom's middle name was Marie as well. So I am Antoinette Marie.

My name is Constance.

Except when people here it they say "Constable" or "Consonant"

So I shorten it to Connie. Although, that brings up jokes about condoms.

My first name, "Emma," is sort of hard to make fun of or mispronounce; though I do sometimes get called Emily, which pisses me off.
My last name is easier though. "Houle". People constantly pronounce it wrong and make jokes about the fact that it means "one who lives in the ground". Or they think of words that rhyme with it and mock me. :| It's pretty stupid.

I got teased for a bit after I told people the nickname my family calls me, 'Chamki' it's pronounced like 'chunky' so people would call me that sometimes. >____>

Though I don't really get teased about my actual names now, I have a ton of stupid nicknames that my friends tease me with. :tehe:

My name is Safina. Sometimes I love it sometimes I don't like it. I get compliments saying it's a nice name. I like it because it's not a very common name and then since there is no other Safina nobody needs to know my last name. And I don't like my last name. Nobody says it right and that gets annoying!

But what I hate is some people think my name is Sofina. I have NO idea why. So they call me that instead. That really pisses me off.

My name is extremely common.
It's Jessica, but not spelled that way.
It's actually spelled Jessika.
I liked that my mom spelled it different, but my entire life people always spell it J-e-s-s-i-c-a.
Which drives me crazy.
What didn't help was my obsession with spelling. If something is spelled wrong it drives me crazy until it's fixed and anyone who knows me knows that. Everyone used to say, "You freak if a word is spelled wrong but you can't even spell your own name."

Now people call me Ska. I don't need to tell them how to spell it and everything is grand. Sometimes people have a hard time pronouncing it =P

Now my LAST name. Rofl.
It's "Rowe" which is pronounced "Row" and people always leave the "E" off and tend to sing "Row, row, row your boat, gently down the stream..." anytime I mention my last name.

It's a boy's name.
Pisses me to no end.
I don't mind if they call me Afiq,
although that, too, is a boy's name.
My cousins and aunt call me Afiq,
so I got used to it.
Rafi, I get angry with.

My last name is Ismadi.
My dad's name.
People make fun of it.
Their like: "Afiqah is MUDDY."
I get very angry at that.
They're making fun of my dad's name.
I don't like that at all.

My first name is Hannah, normal enough but my middle name is Tikvah, its jewish and i got teased for it in primary as well as for my familys belifes. because 'vah' can sound like 'fuh' it ended up being Tikfuck...no fun at all
buuut when OC came out everyone thought it was so cool my last name was Cohen *shurgs* still a jewish name but all of a sudden i wasnt teased for being different...or maybe they grew out of it

My name's Emily-Jade. The only thing uncommon is the fact it's double barreled. But it's nothing special.
I was going to be called Cosette or Éponine. From Les Miserable.
I think they're so pretty :tehe: but they wouldn't have suited me, and living in England I doubt they'd have gone down well in the playground.

My first name is all right, but my second name is Card, which is kind of stupid. I forever have people asking me "Why isn't your name birthday?" for a joke, but after a while, it gets kind of tiresome.

I get picked on all the time, and my name is Aisha, it's kind of common, but still. Because it's pronounced like the continent, people always aske me if my best friend is Europe or something XD
After a while, I've just gotten used to it. :D

Mine is Casarina. Not Cassandar, Cassie, Caterina, CasErina, or whatever else. It's Casarina, with one S, thank you very much.

I rather like my name, I only know of two other Casarina's and that's because of facebook. I get a lot of people saying they like my name, and I get lots of different nicknames... Mostly ones that don't even said like my name, like Mic. XD

My name was very well thought out, my whole name... I even left the hospital without a name as a baby. ...You'd think 9 months would have been long enough to name your kid, eh? -_-
