You're absolutely right. The least we can do as readers is give some feedback. It's very interesting to see how much opinions change depending on the person.

I particularly like your comments on the new Neal story. Juliet is an amazing writer and always brings so many feelings in her readers!

That is so nice of you to say.

I sometimes worry that I ramble too much, but some of these stories are just so well written. I feel that when the author puts so much time into developing a quality story, the least I can do is give them some feedback.

    Take care and happy reading!

Hi Soupy, thanks for your long comment. The transition from vacation interaction to real life back at home is an interesting one. You have accurately read how they are both unsure about what they want and somewhat afraid of committing (Taylor more than Mike).

My wrists and arms were feeling good this weekend, plus I recently had a few days off work on vacation. But I am feeling poorly again now so I'm probably going to wait on finishing the next chapter. I wanted to change a few things. Ugh I tried acupuncture yesterday and now my one arm is killing me. Not the desired effect at all!

Sorry I never responded to your last very long comment! Life has been kinda hard lately. Anyway, I just posted the next chapter which is really two shoved together:)

I actually wrote a couple sentences in this new chapter in response to your comment about Taylor being responsible for them having sex. I like getting good comments that make me think about what I'm writing.

They definitely are experiencing some troubles navigating their relationship now. In some ways sex made it easier but it also made it harder since they are both feeling more vulnerable now and that makes them uncomfortable.

I didn't write too much about how the group perceives Mike and Taylor's relationship but there will be more of that coming up in future chapters. I was trying to get this one done plus my wrists were bitching at me so I just kind of skimmed over a large section of the day after. Oh well I can get away with that since I'm writing for free.

I look forward to your comments on the chapter I just posted!

If you go to my friends list she is on there or you can search "It Feels Like" which is one of her stories (Brad Richards). All her stories are fantastic.

I'm currently reading JulietFalls' current James Neal fic and PensRock's James Neal fic as they both write it. I'll have to check out the other ones you mentioned.

I drop everything when I see that JulietFalls has updated a story. She is just soooo good. I have been reading her work for about 4 years now and each story is just as amazing as the last. Even on players that I wasn't too fond of, she found a way to make me love them. I have read "In Another Life" and it is very good. She has written a couple of really good Tazer fics. I love it when she gives him a bit of an edge! I also loved the Tavares one she tag teamed with Linzerella's Harder than Stone. But I must admit her smutty Crosby one and two shots are works of art!

I really wish that I could search authors and not just stories - maybe I can and I just haven't figured it out. Because a lot of time I find myself reading a story - really enjoying it - only to realize it is written by an author I have previously enjoyed. There really are a lot of good ones but a couple off the top of my head - iheartshoes fangirl1999, kmblue and PensRock. Have you read any of Shayla1462?

She writes Crosby and really takes risks in her writing. Not the cookie cutter story line with the conventional happy ending.

What story does Anogete write - the name does sound familiar. I am sure that I have read her stories but cant think of which ones they are.

    Have a great day!

Hey! Thanks for accepting my request. I think it sent you two requests because I did it on mobile. It sometimes does that to me with other members too. Sorry about that.

I have actually read all of JulietFalls' stories on here and the others that she has posted on her other blogs. I have just been clearing out my subscriptions and going back and recommending them all. Come Down to Me is one of my favorite stories. I wasn't a Crosby fan until I read that one actually. I've read it a few times. It made me laugh and cry. Her story In Another Life is also one of my favorites. She is incredibly talented.

If you haven't already, you should check out the writer Anogete. She has written some amazing stories! One of the best that I've come across on this site.

Feel free to recommend any other authors that you like on this site. I'm always up for new reading material.

    Have a great day!

I am going to read the update now. I hope you are feeling better soon - I would go with the chocolate. It may not help, but it sure doesn't hurt!

    Take care!

Thanks for your nice long detailed comments on my last chapter! The thaw has definitely begun as you'll see in the next chapter which I just posted. Let me know what you think of the next chapter, I am very curious.

Well I might have more to say in response but my head is killing from a migraine now so I either need to go bang it on the wall or cry or eat some chocolate or pass out or all of the above. More later!

Hey no problem. You do all the hard work!

But I did really like Casey. She wasn't your typical fan fic protagonist. She wasn't some bubble brained beauty who bumped into the hockey player at a coffee house, won his heart and lived happily ever after. No Casey was multi-faceted, accomplished and strong willed. She and Jeff definitely had their "ups and downs", but they found a place where they were both happy.

    Awesome job!

Thank you so much! I really love your reviews, they are so detailed and it's obvious that you read the whole story, including what is alluded to. Thanks again!

    Thanks!

Yeah, most readers that comment don't seem to have patience for their relationship to slowly build. It hasn't even been a week that they have known each other. Most people take weeks to get to know someone. Their time frame can be compressed since they are in each other's pockets on the trip, but still they need some time to go from hating each other to hooking up. Otherwise it won't seem authentic, and their relationship won't last long.

I almost always write my stories with many, many chapters to build up the relationship before sex happens. I'm writing this story the same way as usual. Personally I'm usually not the biggest fan of reading one-shots/stories that just start out with the sex and not much background to make you care about the characters and them having sex.

Good point that Mike is also afraid of rejection. Taylor thinks he's all tough guy but he isn't. He just masks his weaknesses better than others. If he lets her in to see them, she'll know that he really trusts her. At this point there isn't all that much trust between them and that is an issue that will continue with them for a while.

I loved the chapter. I think it is interesting that people want them together - NOW! But I think the way you are approaching it is much more realistic.

I also think that Mike is keeping everything under wraps for fear of being rejected. Despite all his bravado, Mike harbours those deep seeded insecurities that we all have. He wont let Taylor know how he is truly feeling without knowing she feels the same - because in true honesty there is vulnerability. Something a big tough hockey player would be very reluctant to show.

I always enjoy seeing your comments! I am glad that you enjoyed the chapter and it made sense and wasn't going back and forth too much with Taylor's mood and how she reacts to Mike. It's kind of a fine balance.

Interesting point on how Taylor would enjoy knowing Mike's reactions to her. He is keeping everything under wraps for now and not even considering letting her know what he's thinking/how he is reacting because he is so sure that she has no interest in him.
