Yeah, for sure. She's already established herself as well, so she'll be given a crazy degree of freedom by whoever she's signed to (I'd have to look it up to find out and I'm well lazy so that ain't happening) and I reckon it's gone to her head. She should be reeled in now, before she does something that'll destroy her career. Publicity is all very well and good, but she's eventually going to take it too far and then she (and the label) are screwed.

I keep buying the Harry Potter DS games to play instead of writing my dissertation. lmfao Procrastination is 100% the best. lmfao

I know, it's ridiculous. I just wanna go out in the sunshine without going red, thanks, sun. It's awful, we've both been subjected to the horrors. Must be that ghostly Scottish skin. lmfao

See, that makes me so suspicious of them, haha! My aunt has a lovely cat, but it always looks like it's doing something it shouldn't be and it makes me wonder if it's clever enough to put on a cute front when I'm looking at it, but secretly planning my demise when I look away. So creepy. tehe

Some of it definitely could be for publicity, but then she's also got all this freedom she never had with Disney. It's like girls gone wild but WORSE.

omg I bought myself a Nintendo game even though I really don't need another way to procrastinate, but whoops. I feel you.

Sunburn is just something horrid that should not exist but sadly does. I am sorry about your braless burn experience.

I love cats for the pure reason they always look like they're scheming, haha!

A part of me wonders whether she's doing it all for the publicity, though. It definitely doesn't excuse what she's doing / has done, but sometimes I just feel like she's doing it to keep her name in the papers. Who knows though, it could be anything. Oh, Gaga knows how to play a crowd for sure. The whole meat dress thing was crazy, but it got publicity. Nicki Minaj is fairly good at marketing herself as well. There's a whole bunch of them that're pros at it.

I did it the other day, when I bought a whole bunch of new clothes and stuff off of my Very account. I shouldn't be given credit accounts, I really shouldn't. lmfao

Oh man, that sounds bad. I usually tan, so I'm not so bad but when I sit in water for ages or don't wear sunscreen at all, I tend to burn. The worst I've had was in Italy, when I burned and ended up with peeling shoulders for days. I couldn't wear a bra for a good 4 days afterwards, it was hell.

I know, it's kinda terrifying, haha! Cats just kinda creep me out in general but then again, I'm a dog person so I guess that's a given.

Yeah, Miley's pretty crazy. Also a little racist and anti-Semitic... it's a shame because a lot of me really likes her as a person, if she could just stop being an ass. Someone else that's good at marketing ploys was Lady Gaga, or she was anyway. Miley just does what she wants but Gaga was like... some weird level attention-seeking. I mean, all very well if it furthers her career, but surely nobody wears a fucking meat dress just cos they want to.

Ahhh, I love a good TREAT YOSELF moment. I just did it to buy The 1975's new album, whoops.

I feel you on the shoulders thing! I went out one hot summer when I was about 15 and the sun was beating down on us, and me and my friends walked around all day... my shoulders were A MESS. Bright red with the weirdest yellow blister/boils for about a week afterwards, and they eventually turned into huge scabs. It was disgusting. I still have a sun-spot scar. Lesson learned, lest I get skin cancer.

Hahaha, that cat is plotting something for you. My uncle's cat Ruby is a bit mad like that. Stares at people a lot. It's weird.

Yeah, she's actually a good example of how to successfully market yourself. Most people get really mad about what she does, but it keeps her name in the media, so people are more likely to remember that she's a music artist and buy her stuff. It's such a roundabout way of doing it, but it works.

Haha, we're the same. I've been coerced into many, many purchases with my friends because they've got a habit of screeching 'treat yoself' really loudly so then I have to buy it and exit the shop as quickly as possible. lmfao

I probably will be, I like swimming anyway so it'd be the perfect holiday -- swimming and reading books in the shade. Aw man, that sounds awful. I once managed to get my shoulders really badly burned because I didn't realise that water amplifies sun rays and I thought that going to a water park and only applying one coat of sunscreen would do me. Facepalm

Yeah, someone probably did if you're seeing them around. Cats, especially kittens, are really cute anyway, so a lot of people will take them in. I remember when my next door neighbour took in a new cat. The thing hated me, and still to this day hates me, but it's just plain creepy now. I go to the gym a lot at night with one of my friends and after, we usually sit in her car out in my street and talk. The other week, the cat sat and stared at us for 10 minutes and then disappeared all of a sudden. I'm sure it's actually a demon and not a cat, but who knows.

You talked about Miley Cyrus in marketing?

Money becomes irrelevant when you want something. Me and my friends often are like, "I don't know if I should spend that money on something like this, don't know if it's worth it..." and then another one of us will be like, "YOLO IT, GIRL."

I'd be in the pool constantly. I can't even swim, but the pool seems like the place to be. Be careful not to get burned in there though! I once sat with my feet in a paddling pool during summer for four hours while I was reading and the sun reflecting off the water burned all up my legs. So I had white feet/ankles and bright red calves. I looked ridiculous.

Ah, that's very sweet of you. I think one of the kittens, Joey, found a home somewhere in the same town. He had the most common markings for a cat (white with black patches) but a couple of people, including myself, saw one that looked very similar to him in a nearby area. He was a loving and honestly pretty ditzy cat, so I imagine if he didn't get hit by a car (he really was stupid, honestly) then someone probably took him in. Not so sure about the other two. Safi, another kitten we had, was a crazy little thing. She went missing once and we got her back but then she disappeared again and we never saw her again. :') She was honestly the spawn of the devil though, but she liked to follow people into their homes (no personal boundaries whatsoever, even for a cat) so someone probably took pity on her and kept her as well. She did have some street-smarts; farm cat blood. Probably why she was such a feral little bitch of an animal, oh my God. I loved her but she was a DEMON.

Haha, we should totally get them to start hinting on Twitter about it. Yanno, we kinda need Paramore here instead of having to spend tons of money travelling down south when none of us really want be down south because it's poisonous I am such a nationalistic arsehole. Whistle

Yeah, I'm a sucker for them as well. Not so much Miley Cyrus (mainly because she's all we talked about in marketing last year and I'm sick of her) but I'm definitely prone to listening to more experimental stuff if people recommend it / if I find it. There's always some really cool stuff you can find on experimental records, even if half of the record sucks in your eyes.

Honestly though, see if you wanna see somebody and the tickets are expensive, it's still worth it. If you had a good time and got to see an artist you really like, then is there really a price attached to that? I can justify the price of any gig tickets to anybody, because music isn't worth money. That's how I justified spending tons to go to London 3 years in a row to see different bands. Whistle Smashing Pumpkins are one of my all-time favourite bands. I'd have liked to have seen them back in the day when they didn't suck ass live (because apparently they're on awful form lately) but I'll go and see them now if it means I get to see Billy Corgan live. The man is a genius. But they are super old, I get weird looks when I wear my Smashing Pumpkins shirt to uni. lmfao

I reckon I'll need more than ice water. I'm just going to create a giant freezer with leg holes and a wee window for me to see out of and walk about in that. lmfao We're booking a villa with a pool though, so I'll probably just spend every moment that I'm not going out somewhere vegetating in the pool.

Yeah, Europe is filled with history. I mean, we were in Antwerp in Belgium when we went, so it was all mostly more Dutch culture (which I was so fuming about, I thought I was going to get to use my shoddy French skills) and art, but some parts of it that we went by on the train were crazy creepy, especially early in the morning. I like that part of Europe though, the higher up part -- it's all cool and not melting my face off with the heat. The Netherlands was a fairly decent temperature with the exception of one freaky week in Apriltime and then the tail end of June / July when it got unbearable.

Exactly, it doesn't take long at all, compared to the agony you'd go through worrying and wondering! Besides, all animals are important, no matter how small. We shouldn't have one rule for bigger animals and another for smaller ones! That sucks about your cats though, my friend had a cat that disappeared for a few years and came back and she was devastated when he first went missing. Hopefully they're all safe and sound, wherever they are. Arms

There's a Twitter account dedicated to Scottish Paramore fans! Like a street team, kinda. Hayley follows it, I believe.

I love weird experiment albums. (It's possibly why I love Miley Cyrus' latest album so much... but God, it's fucking weird).

I kinda YOLO'd the Halsey ticket just because they were sold out and I couldn't see a better offer -- I didn't even know she was coming until it was too late. I remember Smashing Pumpkins! That feels like a real blast from the past.

JULY??? Oh God. I bid thee well. Bring ice-water to pour over yourself at Disney.

That's true, I only ever went to Belgium but even that was coated in wonderful stories. I'd love to see more of Europe. The climate was much like Scotland... just with more war graves, haha. It was actually quite sad and eerie when it was misty.

I agree! Like, I get it, there must be hundreds of roadkill that local councils have to clear away from roadsides every week, it'll be a fairly disgusting and sad job, but it wouldn't take much to scan a cat for a microchip or take a photo and record of like distinct markings to try and let owners know, since they already go to the trouble for dogs. It's just such a shame. The animal might be dead and out of its misery but there will be owners wondering about them for years to come. I've had three cats run away never to return, and none of them were very street-smart, and I suspect a couple of them probably found new homes but it's a possibility they were hit by cars.

We should just get all Paramore fans from Scotland together and create a petition or a massive letter or something. They have to pay attention to an entire country, right? lmfao

Yeah, that's Boom. Their new album is pretty awesome, it's a mix of weird experiments and good old stuff, I'm 100% digging it all. Exactly, and the same goes for a whole load of bands. I mean, people grow up. They're going to be mature at points and not at others and that's gonna reflect on their music.

Seriously? I have one or two bands I'd do that for, though, so I get where you're coming from. I'd pay anything to see the Smashing Pumpkins live, I really would.

Haha, that's not a bad trip, haha! I wouldn't have minded seeing them live. We're going to go to Disney and Universal as well, but I'm for sure going to die of heatstroke or something. We're going in July as well, so it's going to be crazy warm. No

I don't know, I'm just super-obsessed with Croatia, haha. I'm actually way obsessed with the entire section of former Yugoslavian countries, not going to lie. It's full of history and I'd love to see it all.

She totally makes a good point, though! I mean, we didn't make fun of the people from warmer climates when it was 2 degrees and we had to cycle to university because we knew they weren't used to it. Then again, they also looked horrified when we were wandering around in hoodies at the same point so I guess it worked both ways, ha.

They are, it's so cute! Yeah, most of them were pretty streetwise, and the tourists in the old town were spoiling them rotten, which was lovely.

Really? I had no idea about that, I just thought they were both treated the same! That's absolutely heartbroken, no animal deserves to be treated with as little dignity as that. I get ridiculously annoyed about animal cruelty and even though it's not direct cruelty, I'd say that falls under the umbrella. We should take better care of any animals than that.

We could always band together and write a strongly-worded letter to Fueled By Ramen asking what the fuckin' deal is.

I haven't actually listened to any new Simple Plan stuff but I've been meaning to ever since I saw that Alex Gaskarth and Lynn Gunn were in their video for a song (I think it's called Boom?) and it looked really fun. And yeah, they're all getting to that 'dad' age where they'll still act like goofy kids sometimes but they've also matured a lot; people can't expect them to constantly mess around and not grow as artists.

God, I paid nearly double face value for a Halsey ticket because I was so desperate to see her, but I usually wait to look out for better deals than that.

Florida sounds cool! My best friend went a couple of years ago with her parents and another childhood friend, and they randomly got tickets to see Boys Like Girls while they were over there. :') The heat would actually kill me though. I feel like it would awesome to visit Disney and stuff but the idea of all the queuing and stuff puts me off.

    Why Croatia? :')

I remember a couple of years ago during a really hot summer, we were all dying and some girl at our school who used to live somewhere megaaaa hot in America took to social media to be like, "Why are you all (other foreign kids from hot places) making fun of everyone for not coping with the heat? They weren't raised in this temperature and most of them probably haven't been on a vacation to somewhere really warm, leave them alone, they're struggling." It was really nice, haha!

Aw man, I hate that, getting sweaty when you come out the shower. For some reason it always happens to me when I'm getting ready for a night out. I'll be doing my make-up, all dressed, and I'm sweating even though I just got clean. Perhaps it's just the stress of leaving the house.

Wow, they're almost like the whole town's pets rather than strays! I imagine they're extremely street-wise as well, they'll know how to get food and shelter if they're running low.

What makes me really sad about here is that if a dog (stray or not) gets hit by a car, they'll keep the body/take photos and keep a record, but if someone runs over a cat, it gets discarded like roadkill and cremated. That could be someone's pet that they'll spend weeks tirelessly searching for and worrying about, and for all they know it could've been killed a long time ago. I think it's ridiculous. They don't scan the cats for microchips or look for collars or keep a record of which ones they've found dead, they just burn them, but dogs get records kept so that if someone comes looking for them, they can be told their dog was hit.

Yeah, they're both pretty adorable, so I'm cool with it although I am still forever a Josh girl, no matter what happens. Shifty Yes, if there's no Scotland date in the next few years, I will be forced to dislike them both, ha.

Yeah, exactly! I mean, the recent complaint about Simple Plan has been that they've gone 'commercialised' and 'change their sound', but is that not what bands are supposed to do? Besides, they're all in their thirties now, they can't exactly still act like they're all teenagers. Variation in music is good. Variation in music is exciting. Let's not berate bands just for having albums that don't sound like one another. File

Get Me In is a lifesaver, ha. I've known friends that've gotten tickets through that, which is awesome. I've never had to use it because all of the bands I like don't sell out venues, or I get the tickets in time, but it's something I envision having to use for blink-182 and Paramore if they ever come around, haha.

It is, now I look at it. I didn't realise it was that much. lmfao And I'm going to Florida next year, so I can add the US to that list after that. I have a serious case of wanderlust though, I want to visit all 47 European countries at least in my lifetime, especially Croatia. I swear I thought I was dying. The South American roommates were laughing so hard at us, because me and the other Scottish girl weren't coping with the weather at all and they were all "oh, this is spring for us". I don't think other countries realise that when we say that Scotland's average temperature is 2 degrees Celsius, we actually mean it. File I love the cold, only because I can bundle up and keep warm. I'd rather be cold than hot, because it's easier to heat up than it is to cool down. When we were away in the 35 degree weather, I was going in like 5 cold showers a day to try and cool my body temperature down and I'd come out the shower and already be sweating, it was awful.

I know, I was so sad when I saw one outside the airport until my friend pointed out all of the food and stuff! There are even vets that give them their vaccines and stuff, which is so sweet. For street animals, they're so well looked-after, it's unreal. I wish we took care of our strays like that.

Taylor and Hayley will be the cutest little duo though, I have every faith. But if they don't come to Scotland, we will have a falling out.

I love varied albums! It's boring when bands repeat the same tired tunes over and over.

Aha, when tickets sell out I just troll Twitter and getmein.com to try and find good prices lmao. That's how I ended up seeing Ariana Grande and Halsey.

That's a good handful of countries! But 35 degrees is so hot, I would die. I can barely handle 22 if I'm honest. But then, I also hate the cold. Can never find a happy medium.

Aw, I'm glad to hear the locals keep them fed and stuff! That makes me feel a bit better about it. I hate thinking of stray animals. ):

I know, I saw the other week that Jeremy left! Crazy stuff, it's hardly Paramore anymore. Yeah, I saw the picture of them and the dog, which was super-cute! Still mad at them for not coming to Scotland in ages though. lmfao

Nobody I know seems to listen to them, it's strange. lmfao They're good, at any rate, very emo-rock and stuff. They've got pretty varied albums though, so everything's different. Yeah, fingers crossed! I assume Paramore will be pretty expensive, and if they play up here we'll have problems getting tickets because they'll probably sell out due to not playing in forever. Rolling Eyes

I've not been to many countries, I've mostly holidayed in England and Wales. I've been to Spain, Italy, Belgium, Germany, Turkey and I lived in the Netherlands for 6 months, so there's that. I don't handle heat well either, so I feel ya there! Turkey was fairly average though, just right. It was about 22 degrees on the Monday and had cooled down to about 10 degrees on the Saturday. Central Europe is a nightmare though, we had like 35 degree temperatures in the Netherlands last June and I honestly thought I was going to die, it was so humid and awful.

They had street dogs too, and I got so sad leaving them behind after petting them! They're really well looked after though, the locals leave out cat / dog food and bowls of water for them. Still wanted to steal them all though. I know now not to rub my eyes after touching a cat, haha!

I think they are, after you hit like 10 years old, they're just boring / lame. Ah, good to hear! Cute

Well, now it's only Hayley and Taylor left! They're running bloody low on members. But Hayley just got married and I am so delightfully happy that I can't even be mad that they seem to despise Scotland for some unknown reason.

I don't think I've ever really listened to AT, but I've heard a couple of songs, I'm sure. I can't remember what they sound like though, I'll have to give them a listen. Fingers crossed Blink come soon and that it isn't horrendously expensive either. I imagine Paramore will be. </3

Aw man! Turkey sounds nice, I've never been abroad apart from Belgium but I don't handle heat well so I don't know how much I would enjoy a 'hot' holiday.

I think I would want to take all the street cats home if I visited such a place; I'm also allergic but it doesn't stop me owning them. :') I just have to remember not to rub my eyes or my face afterwards.

Birthdays must be overrated. I feel a bit better, yeah! Thank-you for asking.

I'm the same, I get horrendous seasickness, so I'd never last. Hopefully they'll throw us a Scotland date soon! I'm getting so close to just giving up and going to see them in London, but it's expensive and I only tend to do that for my absolute faves and since the Farro brothers left, I've just not been as into them as I was when I was younger.

Blink-182 are on mines as well, actually! I also really wanna see Alkaline Trio, so I hope they do a clever and just tour AT with Blink, seeing as Matt Skiba sings in both now. It'd be the ultimate gig. I actually prefer the live songs I've been hearing without Tom (but I am totally biased, being a bigger AT fan than Blink fan and being irrevocably in love with Matt since I was like 14) so I reckon I'd still want to see them if they make their way here.

I'm definitely going to check him out! I need new music anyway, all of my music is based around bands I've been listening to for years now and I seriously need some updates, ha.

It was, it's thrown my whole schedule as well because it isn't a massive time difference, it was just 2 hours and it's made me really grumpy today too! I was in Turkey for the week, visiting some friends I made on my exchange trip last year! It was great fun, and so warm / lovely. Although I learned while I was there after petting a street cat that I'm likely allergic to cats, which sucks.

Ah gosh, that sucks. I always hate birthdays, I just always seem to have shitty things happen on my birthday! Are you feeling better now though?

I know! And they keep doing Parahoy, which I would love to go to, but that's so expensive and I get seasick...

Oh man, I've got a long list too. I really want to see Blink-182, honestly. I think that'd be a really cool concert. Like an aged All Time Low. :') But Tom Delonge isn't in the band any more and that seemed to end kind of bitterly, so maybe not.

Aw, I definitely recommend Joel! His solo project is called Gorgeous War, and he's only got one song out right now, called In My Room, but it's a jam. I can't wait for more.

Jetlegged? Oh God, that sounds bad. Where were you at?

And thank-you! I had a terrible birthday, I don't even remember logging on to reply to you!

I always end up getting sweaty hair in my mouth at gigs, it's the worst. Occupational hazard of going to one though, I guess!

Paramore are one of the main ones on my list as well, yeah. I hate how they always go to do a 'UK' tour that consists of basically England. Not a UK tour, guys. Rolling Eyes I also really wanna see Sugarcult (if they ever tour again), Smashing Pumpkins, Green Day and Simple Plan (who I'm going to see this year anyway) so I'm trying to wait on those bands appearing so I can fulfil my life dream to see them all in concert.

I definitely might check it out! I've not heard of that band either, I'm so behind on stuff, haha. See, I've heard of This Century, but never actually listened to them! I'll check out his solo stuff as well. tehe And I wouldn't worry, I'm insanely exhausted and a little jetlagged, so I'm probably just as bad as you were then. XD

    Also, happy belated birthday!

That is true! I've had a lot of sweaty hair incidents following them on tour so far...

I'm kinda the same! I'm seeing a couple bands for the first time this year and I'm still waiting and praying for Paramore to hurry up and give Scotland a visit again.

I loved Nick's solo stuff! Definitely worth a listen, but he's in an 8123 band called Beach Weather now, I believe. I'm loving solo stuff rn from Joel Kanitz though, the dude who used to front This Century. Did I already mention him? I have no idea, I'm very ill and very tired (happy birthday to me lol). I just realised his name is my new Mibba username, I'm an idiot. That's how tired I am.
