I wouldn't know without digging out my tickets. lmfao That was my first time seeing them too though, I think, but I don't know. I just remember that we had to sit down because my sister was too young for the standing bit, ha. I was raaaaaging. I suppose it was a decent view, better than a view through someone's sweaty hair!

I hope so! I'm hoping a lot of bands tour so I can see them. I've only got a few bands I really need to see now so I'm collecting up tickets to see them, if I can. tehe See, I've actually heard that she's pretty horrible as well, so maybe it's partially true? I don't know, I've never met her so I'd never judge her without meeting her first but that's the rumours I've been hearing too. Yeah, it was great because I knew one ARTTM song at the time and I was totally calm the whole set until they played Baby Blue Eyes and I was basically screeching the words at the top of my lungs, ha. I've actually not listened to any of his solo stuff, is it decent? I'm a sucker for solo careers. I was shameless Charlie Simpson trash when he went solo. File

Yeah, haha! Do you remember what day you saw them? Because I went to both the 12th and the 13th, and it was the 12th that was my first ever ATL gig but we were sitting for that. :') And then the next day, we were standing. It was actually not too bad sitting down. At least we had a good view, haha!

Hopefully Mayday will be back next year and you can see them! I remember when they came here with WATIC because my two friends (one of which came with me the other day to see them) went to see them and met Tay Jardine and said she was a rude bitch omg. I didn't know A Rocket To The Moon came with them! I've never seen them but I have seen Nick Santino after he went solo, I think he supported The Maine when they came in 2014? Yeah, end of 2014, I think, and it was The Garage, and it was rather lovely.

Oh wow, was that 2012? I have lost all form of time knowledge. lmfao Well, I saw them then and it was pretty fun. We were on the balcony though, which sucked. I don't like sitting-down gigs.

Ugh, I can't believe I missed that, I haven't seen Mayday in years. No Not since they were playing at the Garage with WATIC and A Rocket to the Moon, whenever that was. Probably 2012 as well, tbh. I giggled a lot at that unintentional pun, not even going to lie. I've bought tickets for support bands before and the main band have turned out to be pretty cool, it's always awesome when that happens!

They're the worst! Even worse is when they haven't changed the train voice and it tells you it's going somewhere where it isn't and you freak out before the conductor tells you it's fine, they just haven't changed it. Like, way to give me a heart attack, man. No

They supported All Time Low with WATIC in 2012! January 12th and 13th, I believe.

omg yes it was Mayday Parade's tour, they were here on the 3rd at the O2 ABC. The Maine were the main (ha) support band, along with Beautiful Bodies and Have Mercy, I think? I knew who BB were, they have a female frontwoman who was/is pally with Jack Barakat. But yeah, I only really bought the ticket because it was The Maine, but Mayday played some good wee tunes as well!

Trains still terrify me! I always worry I'm getting on the wrong one because there's so little signs or anything on them to be like THIS IS UR TRAIN. IT'S GOING TO THIS PLACE. IT'S OKAY TO BOARD. I'm the same about falling asleep on public transport. It's a curse.

It definitely was, for sure. Haha, so he's stubborn then? Wink I think I have a thing for guys that dye their hair blonde as well, so I was instantly like Happy face Yeah, the grunge look is so totally in. I kind of adore that but at the same time, it grosses me out. I can't even remember when I went to see them, but it was whenever they supported All Time Low in Glasgow. 2009? Maybe he had the mullet them, I don't know. I was still trying to pretend that I didn't need glasses to see further than a feet in front of my face at that point. Shifty Hold the fuck up, Mayday were back and I missed them? I am such a loser. I don't even know who's playing this year aside from bloody Simple Plan and Busted. Facepalm That's actually really cute, go them!

Yeah, she's getting a whole lot better so I'm glad she got the little job she has just now. Oh, I'm still petrified that I'm getting on the wrong bus or train, the whole travel thing weirds me out. The train to my university goes right through to Girvan (or sometimes Stranraer) and I have to get off at Ayr and I'm constantly terrified that I'll fall asleep and get stuck somewhere. No Yeah, you've got to just manage adult stuff. Trust me, it wasn't fun and I failed miserably. I ate mushroom pizza for like the whole time because it was the only thing I could be sure was vegetarian and besides, I was too lazy to actually cook stuff. lmfao

Yeah, I suppose the police could intervene or something? I don't know, I'm useless when it comes to stuff like this, as I said. Facepalm Hmm, so I guess banning someone would kinda be a bit hypocritical, if you're banning certain folks and not others. I get that, that makes sense. Haha, oh dear. That sounds like the best option.

It's totally crazy how people can just change so rapidly health-wise in such a short space of time. Hopefully he gets better.

It was very Kurt Cobain, wasn't it? He said he just grew it out because everyone was telling him to cut it and somewhere along the way he bleached it blonde. :') I do wish he would've washed it more but at the same time the dirty hair look was so grunge and weirdly attractive... but his short hair is just as lovely. Back in like 2007-2009 he had this ridiculous lesbian mullet haircut but it was SO CUTE AND GAY. What a little homo. I love him. I could tell you so much and recommend so many things if you wanna get into them in a big way. Every time I see them live John's adorableness murders me. He just looks so fucking good. Plus the entire band is made up of the most humble boys in the world. They were supporting Mayday Parade last night, I think it's because they can't get the money to fund their own UK tour right now because they did a FREE tour in America last year to thank fans for their support over the last eight years -- that's just so unheard of and so fucking cute. THEY DESERVE THE WORLD. I can't.

That's such a shame for your sister! At least she's building her skills. I used to be terrified of getting the bus but I'm used to it now lol. And I'm a tiny bit better with talking to people after getting a job. I still hate talking on the phone and shit but y'know. Managing. omg the idea of living away from home is so scary, at least you've got that under your belt.

Well technically if someone was like actually violent and dangerous and stuff, I think there might be an exception, but we have people on the sex offenders list using our services so idk. But I guess we could ban them for fifty years and it would be fine because... it's not permanent... just long enough for the dude to probably die before he can come back...

Yeah, it's a wee shame, bit of a shock. Like we just saw him a few days ago and now he's in a bad way. It's so crazy.

OH HELLO WHO IS THIS WONDERFUL FELLA. It's the Kurt Cobain look, I swear. Any time somebody looks even remotely like Cobain, I'm in. They don't even have to look like him, they just have to have the hair. I need to get more into The Maine than just a casual fan if this guy looks like this man, what a bloke. In Love

New jobs are the worst though, I absolutely feel ya there. Every time I get remotely close to leaving my work, I panic and just stay where I am because I can't deal with trying to find a new job. My sister got that, she's painfully shy and she can't talk on the phone, so she had such a job trying to find work and my mum kept pressuring her. It got ridiculous towards the end, but she managed to get a part-time job in a wee chip shop, so she's a lot more confident now. I can't handle grown-up life and I'll be 22 in November, I wouldn't worry. lmfao Hell, I've lived on my own without my parents in a different country for 6 months and I still can't adult. Nope. Not for me. Yeah, it's about the only upside aside from the 50% staff discount on phone contracts, ha.

It's so strange that you can't ban people permanently! I mean, I kinda get it but it's a little dangerous, no? Oh man, that really is horrible luck. At least we has in a place where he can be seen to fairly quickly, but I think you're right if it's a brain tumour. That's absolutely the worst, poor man.

I literally just saw The Maine last night (for like the sixth time I think) and I honestly was fucking swooning at how good the singer, John O'Callaghan, looked. Like. ohmygodiwanttodie. He could smother me and I would thank him with my dying breath. Google him and his beautiful face. (And the long hair era of 2014).

Yikes. See, it's getting closer and closer to my contract ending at this job and the idea of searching for another one is giving me legit anxiety. With my luck I'll probably get offered a bunch of terrible places, if anything at all, and I'm such a picky neurotic person I'll probably say no and my mother will yell at me. :') I can't handle being a grown-up. And I'm 20 in like ten days. At least your work is flexible with time for you; that is an upside.

Aw, yeah, that volunteer hasn't come back but statements have to get written and stuff, and he'll be banned for a certain amount of time that we get to decide on (as it's the Salvation Army, we're not allowed to ban anyone permanently). But there's a delay on getting that fixed now because our captain was in England with his wife (the other captain) visiting their family because they just got their first grandchild... and the captain collapsed because he has a brain tumour. Horrible luck. They were in the hospital getting the baby registered when he collapsed but I doubt it matters how fast he got medical attention with a brain tumour. :/

Y'know, I saw them live once but I can't for the life of me recall what the lead singer looks like. Facepalm There's just some guys that can pull it off, and there's others that should NEVER have long hair. Like that time that David from Simple Plan started growing his hair out. Shouldn't ever have happened, he did not suit it.

Ah, see, the power centres seem to get the good life man, I'm jealous! I work for a phone company, so it's all bills and broken phones and signal issues. It's impossible to deal with anything either because the network is terrible now. I was outsourced to Sainsbury's when it had a mobile company and it was amazing, so now that they've shut and I'm on another network's service, I just can't seem to enjoy it at all.

Thank you! I hope so too, but it'll probably have to wait until I graduate. As much as I despise the job, they give me really good hours that work around my uni work, so I need to stay there for a little while longer!

Aw man, that sucks. I honestly don't know what I'd do in that situation, I'd just freeze. To be fair, I'd be on the employee's side. If someone's been harassing you, the last thing you want is them coming back and not being kicked out right away.

Oh, absolutely. The lead singer of The Maine had long hair for a while and I fucking hated it but then it grew on me all of a sudden? And now I have a whole tag on my blog for his long bleached hair. I miss it. He really did look good.

I actually don't know where she works, it's like a power company call centre though. She deals with powercuts and stuff like that, so she's got the phone and a whole switchboard of shit going on all over the country.

But damn, that's a bad job. I hope you can find a better one!

And nah, the volunteer situation has had to be taken to the Salvation Army captains because he came back in and was in complete denial he did anything wrong and my manager is just too soft to deal with it so she tried to reason with him for over a half hour, and the employee he basically harassed was like, "This is taking too fucking long," and walked out to see the captain. Now things are all awkies between her and my manager.

I'm into it depending on the person but you're right, he mad suits it. MUSICAL BABIES OH GOSH BE STILL MY BEATING HEART. That would be the best. In Love

Where does she work because I want that job. lmfao I get £6.78 an hour, and I take bootloads of abuse. I guess it depends on the call centre, but I just want out of the one I'm in because it's awful. We can hardly do anything and they mess up everything. Even the managers (and their managers) are walking out at this point because they hate it so much.

Yeah, I can imagine you would. Oh, we had a volunteer that we had to get rid of when I used to volunteer in the British Heart Foundation because they were completely psychotic, it's not fun. Hopefully everything goes back to normal soon. Arms

I know, like, common sense is basics. If they need to know that we need that then they obviously have no faith in our generation. File

I usually hate long hair on guys but he reallyyyyy suits his. Did you see Danny's baby's been born? So cute! Imagine if his daughter and Tom's son grew up as a musical duo who fall in love. Stop me.

I do wonder about applying for a call centre cos my friend works in one and she quite enjoys it and the pay is really amazing considering she's only 20 -- she gets £10.70 an hour. I just hate talking on the phone but I'm alright at it -- I'd just be scared I'd fumble and tell someone the wrong thing omg.

It is a good place to work! Nice to help people, but you do get some right fucking weirdos. Today there was an incident -- we had to tell one of our volunteers to fuck off and not come back, basically. He's a psycho.

And omg. Yeah. It's just so dumb like it's all common sense stuff.

Exactly, he went from being the adorable on to just being drop-dead gorgeous, especially with that long hair that he's rocking right now. In Love I'm pretty sure half of my friends are still into Danny, but I never saw it. lmfao He is kind of cute, but he's nowhere near Dougie material. I know, he's such an adorable dad! He well got better looking in his old age, for sure.

Ah, that makes sense. It's a shame that companies struggle to keep up with wage budgets though, I always thought that was sad. I feel ya on the going somewhere new thing though. I've had the same job for 4 years and when I eventually have to leave (because I refuse to work in a call centre for the rest of my life) I'm going to be so nervous about going somewhere else! Shifts is always my one worry. My work right now are super-chill with giving me hours that work with me, but I don't know if anywhere else would be. Shift hours are my worst nightmare. No

One of my friends was doing business admin at college (or something similar anyway) and he said there was money in it and that's the only reason he did it, haha. Ah, that's quite a good place to work! I'd feel really fulfilled if I worked there, for sure. Our local SA branch is basically dead, as far as I know. I've only seen them meeting like 3 times in the past year.

For sure! See, I can deal with that sort of thing so I'd be okay with modules and stuff. I'm scared to leave education, haha. Aw man, that sounds like a class I had to do on crisis management during my events module a few years ago. "A person collapses at your event. What do you do?" You phone an ambulance and get a first aider, duh. Rolling Eyes

Dougie has always been a cutie and now he's like really fucking hot. I used to think Danny was cute but I'm not sure what I was thinking lmao. One of my friends is such a Danny girl though, she still loves him. It's cute. I'm so excited for Tom's new baby to come as well! Tom got better looking in his old age. :')

Ah, yeah, that's the idea, that they might offer you a job after the placement time is over. But I knew the manager beforehand, she's a friend of my mum and I was volunteering there. The company can't afford to pay me but she figured she could hire me if I was on the apprenticeship, because then it would be the council that pays my wages. So, when my placement ends and the council take me off the payroll, my placement can't take me on. Which kinda sucks cos the idea of going someplace completely new to work totally freaks me out. Especially because I hate the idea of being on shift hours and not knowing what they might change to from one month to the next.

But my apprenticeship is just business admin! Incredibly dull tbh but I have it really easy, I'm not gonna lie. I work at a branch connected to the Salvation Army called New Future Employability & Training Centre; focuses on getting people to be more employable through training courses and helping with job searches, etc, for the job centre. So we get a lot of nice, eager people and some who are just the literal scum of the Earth and don't want a job, they just want to keep on their benefits. Very hit or miss, haha.

Yeah, fingers crossed I'll see a college app I like! Apprenticeships aren't usually too complex if you do have to go on one though; I had to do a lot of 'modules' which is like coursework but it's basic as hell because of the position I'm in. Like, "Describe how you get rid of waste in the workplace" and I have to talk through everything I do to recycle, etc, and take photos of our recycling bins and shit like that for evidence. It's easy but veryyyyyy long and boring.

I still adore Dougie, it isn't even funny. lmfao All of my friends thought I was weird though, they were all into Danny, but I never saw the fascination. And Brendon is just a little teapot full of beautiful, ha.

Is there a possibility that they'd give you a job afterwards? I have got zero ideas of how apprenticeships work, which sucks because I'll likely have to go onto a graduate apprenticeship to get into the music industry. My friend waited for the late applications one year and then just went and did social science, even though he didn't want to and he actually ended up really enjoying it though, so you never know! What is it you do in your apprenticeship?

Ohhh man my best friend adored Dougie, and Brendon Urie.

Oh my goodness, yes, I feel you. I'm on a modern apprenticeship (I think I might've said this) but it ends in March so like... I'm gonna be out of a job and God knows what's going on with college. I'm waiting for the late January applications to go up but if there's nothing I want to do or can do then oh dear.

I would totally be cool with that Shifty Absolutely be cool with that. He's like my ultimate teenage kid crush, behind Dougie from McFly and Dallon from Panic! at the Disco.

Oh god, that's my problem with uni. Like, at school if I didn't go, then my parents could end up getting fined and taken through custody courts and stuff but if I don't go to uni, all that happens is that I catch up on the work via somebody else's notes. It's so not good for me. I've had zero motivation this year as well, because we only really had one class class, the rest was just workshops for dissertations and projects that were totally optional. Also, while I was away studying in the Netherlands, my only transport to the uni building was via cycling the 25 minutes there and most mornings I just didn't bother going in. My motivation has totally gone down the pan in the past year. Facepalm

I definitely think I will! I've heard they do a very energetic live show, so I'm excited for that. And being in the same space as David Desrosiers but that's just like a bonus, I guess. lmfao

I know! At least with uni, you've got UCAS and can apply for 5 at the one time. I think there should be a similar system for colleges, just to make it less stressful thank it already is.

I think I would die from stress honestly. Like I applied once to college a couple of years ago and it took me HOURS and it was so annoying and stressful and that was just for one course at one college??? Why must they make it so complex
