  • Aww, look at Frank admiring Gerard's sexy body and act.
And look at Gerard, winking at Frank and teasing everyone, hurting himself in the process.
    I love it.

  • Frank is way too imaginative.
    =P
Did he honestly think it'd all be happy-happy-happy?
    Silly boy.

and Frank is so cute in this story, trying to figure him out, while trying to fit in too.
    I love it.

  • I like this a lot. :weird

I'm sorry in advance for this crap comment I'm about to give, but time is only short for me...

So I've never been to the circus. I've heard about it, I've imagined it but I haven't actually been there. So this is very new for me and probably what I loved the most about it. The way it's written doesn't leave me hanging with details; I can perfectly picture the scenarios very well in my head, and not because I have great imagination but because you write very well.

At some point I felt like Frank, all amazed by this aspect of grandeur it seemed to posses to then discover it was all very... ordinary. I've grown fond of this so called 'routine of randomness' the boy is experimenting. It feels very nomal and real, I enjoy that.

I liked the idea of the prologues. I think they were necessary in order to really understand what's going on with this character that just suddenly decides to run away from home to join the circus. And although Frank's background doesn't play that much of an important role anymore, you know a little bit about him that kind of separates him from the rest, who is still a huge question mark for me.

When Frank thought about contributing to the circus show with his music, I had to start loving him, I mean, who doesn't have dreams, right? He's not all adorable right now (yet) but I can't wait to see how this awkward interaction he holds with these strangers progresses. I think that when Frank is going to get really interesting.

Now, Gerard. I really adore this Gerard. :tehe: His bold personality, his manners, he even makes me uncomfortable. And that's saying a lot.
I was quite shocked when he indeed turned to be, well, ... a whore. I assumed he was a tease, -I mean judging from that little meeting with Frankie by the car- but never did I believe he was what 'whore' truly stands for. And yes, it was clever and made of win. :con:
It adds spice to this already original story, because it's not only enough to get to know this side of the circus, this miserable and discouraging backstage, but the possible attachment between Frank and Gerard has me on the edge of my sit. It might as well get the whole attention at the end Shifty

This is definitely going in my subscriptions, I'm looking forward to more updates, I'm loving it so far.

Aha, I love how Frank is totally nervous around Gerard, it's just mega adorable.

  • If it contains information that's important to the story it's not what I'd call a filler :cute:

So Gerard really is a whore? :tehe: Oh dear, I love his character so much. He just doesn't care about anything but sex (and possibly annoying people) and that's just so funny in a way that shouldn't be. His interest in Frank is so exciting too as Frank is so small and innocent next to him, as he said himself, he just turns to goo whenever Gerard is near him. I'm just In Love

I love Frank's reactionto them camping out in the middle of a cow field too. It's like he's never seen a cow before :XD It's rather cute actually that he really had no idea of what living on a circus was like and that he's so surprised by everything that happens. By where they decide to camp.
    Cows. :lmfao

  • yay! i love this story. like you don't even know how much i do. i don't think i look forward to updates for any other story like i do with this story. <3

The fact that frank was freaking out over how they were in a field. with cows. made me laugh. he was like cows! and i don't think that gerard is really as bad as they say. though he did make frank drink sorta and that's not nice. but he really can't be all that bad can he?

i went to the circus two? weekends ago and i was looking around at all the people when we went down at the floor and i started thinking what if it's like in circo? and it made the circus so much better for me especially when i saw someone on those silk rope things i was like amazed and than thought of gerard way trying to do that. Clap more please. =] <3

“Gerard need’s to pee,” he announced. I stared at him. Did I care?
that made me laugh. alot. i was like -gigglesnort- and the way brothers and their dad have a very interesting history. it was entertaining. and i love how mikey was just like oh yeah -inserts life story here- and i'm learning italian right now and since i just learned how to say circus in italian i can ask where's the circus in italian! -is happy- more please. =] <3

  • Oh dear, Mikey :tehe:
He's hilarious. Just the way he spilled his family's entire history in less than five minutes, not even thinking about it was adorable. And the 'Gerard need's to pee." was so cute. There really is no such thing as real privacy on a circus, is there? :cute:

Oh, and I really liked the beginning of the conversation when Frank referred to Mikey as the Way who didn't scare him, and then Mikey said that Gerard having that effect on people was one of the things he liked most about being Gerard's brother :XD It was really sweet.

And Mikey's stage fright is cute as well, considering Gerard is the opposite, as far as we know. :shifty
I'm looking forward to the day we get to know Gerard's story, very much actually. Yes

    Great update. :arms:
    March 7th, 2009 at 10:55pm
  • I would have never even guessed that 'Michael' was in fact Gerard's brother.. Guess that shows I've read too many stories with the name Mikey in them xD That is a very strange background for anyone's family I'd say, but it does match the Ways and their oddities in this story ^__^

can't wait until nextt chapter :D

  • I stumbled across this upon accidentally clicking a link in your signature.

I'm terribly glad I did, though. You've got me hooked.

Your use of description is absolutely mind-boggling. I was in awe. Of course, I'm sure you get that all the time, but I thought I'd let you know.

I do very much love Gerard's character. Something about his personality draws me in.

Quite personally, I enjoyed the first meeting of the two of them. The seductive cigarette just made things even better.

You're a brilliant writer, and I can't wait for the next update.

  • I loved it. Awesome and wow and yeah. I subscribed. hahaha. Please update soon.

I love Frankie in this. And Gerard seems like he's going to cause some problems. Hahaha. Which is wikid. Because you can't have a Frerard without some drama in there.
    LOL

    Yeah. Loved.

  • Oh, I love this :brightside:

I'm going to break down what I love about it into little chunks so it's easier for me to handle.

    - I see Josie as Liza Minelli. You probably didn't mean for that to happen, but I like that :tehe:

    - I love how the circus that Frank ends up joining has a brown tent instead of a multicoloured one - I've never seen a circus tent that isn't multicoloured (and I should know, because there's a circus comes every year to my school field and my friends and I always joke about running off with it :tehe:) and I think it's significant - this is a grownup circus for the more grownup Frankie. This isn't the circus of childhood dreams, this is the circus of muddy tent-pegs and questionably friendly people. Also, it's Italian. Makes sense that a French circus would be bright and colourful and an Italian one would be brown and sophisticated and sexy.

    - As a development on saying that the circus comes to town every year and pitches itself on my school field, the concept is pretty close to my heart. I'm basically Frank. If my family wasn't so stable I would love to run off with the circus. As for what they'd have me do, well, I'd probably end up cleaning too, but ah well, it seems to be working out okay for Frankie Shifty

-Gerard Way is such a goddamned sexy mofo :tehe:

There's a coupla spelling mistakes/typos in the prologues, and there's a stray third person sentance in the first chapter (as in scientifically chapter three).

But God. I love this. I love your style, I love this story, I adore your Gerard :yah It's stylish and it's beautiful and the banner's very atmospheric and I just want to take it and revel in it.

So yeah, I'll be subscribing :cute:

  • "Gerard was dancing about the campsite singing ‘Honey, Honey,’ by ABBA. Everyone seemed completely unfazed by this, ignoring the fact that he was strutting around in only a pair of obscenely tight skinny-jeans and a pair of black converses. "
    I laughed at that.
    Alot.
    =P
I love how blunt Gerard is with everything and how Frank just absolutely freaked out!
    xD

  • -new reader who's not good at comments- i love this story already though. i'm pretty sure it's going to be one of the few stories i check everyday almost 5 times to see if it was updated yet. (subscription emails come to slow for me...) but i love how frank fulfilled every little kids dream of running away and joining the circus but definatly think it's gonna come as a shock to him how crappy behind the scene work can be. mr. way seems like a real jackass and gerard seems like a spoiled brat. (i love him anyways. he makes a cute spoiled brat) and i don't know what mikey is like yet. i'll totally be think of this story when i go to the circus in 2 weeks. =D update soon. i'll be waiting. =] <3

  • So Gerard is a cocky, arrogant bastard. My predictions weren't stupid after all. :file:

“Well, you’re going to have to wait. These are for Way and his kids,” he spat bitterly. Yeah, I basically love the way Frank's reality is being brought upon him, and he's slowly realizing that things are difficult not only at home or school but all around the world. I do believe he's still holding on to that sparkle of hope that resides inside his heart, from when that man once told him magic does exist. I like that, very much, indeed.

And can I say I think Gerard's going to be my favorite character? I hate his arrogance, of course, and the way it looks like he's going to make Frank suffer... but it seems as if his personality is quite complex, and it will take a lot to make him get out of that shell of stardom he's been living in. I don't think we'll be getting an inside of his head for a long time, and that msyeriousness is what attracts me to his psychological profile.

And how I love myself for figuring out he'd be a damn tease. “Don’t you have work to be doing?” Yeah, he's most definitely a tease. And I love it.
