"Uh. She's out at the doctor's. She, um, needed some medicine for her... hemorrhoids," Luella lied. this line totally reminded me of john green's an abundance of katherines when they were talking in french and lying to these kids and Colin's friend says he has tourettes and hemorrhiods because they are the same word in both languages.... sorry that was really long and you probably had no idea what the heck I was talking about but that totally made my night haha
wowowowow! I love this, and its not the cliche I-Can-Read-Minds story I though it would be! ... not that I even know what a cliche mind reading story is but whatever. Not to mention your music quotes at the end of each chapter are awesome :]
Okay, um, can I just tell you that I lllloooovvvveeeee this? Seriously, every time you start a story I think "Oh, this one is my favorite. Yes. It will always be my favorite." And then you start another one and I'm like, "NO! this one is my favorite. HANDS DOWN." You honestly do not know what you do to me Joyce.
I just have to say, I've been listening to different versions (okay, Louis Armstrong and Zooey Deschanel's versions) of "Hello Dolly" for a week straight, and reading Dolly's name BLEW MY MIND.
But that's beside the point. It's a very promising start to a story, and I"m definitely intrigued!
I love this new story. It's like melding how you used to write with a new type of writing. I still love your old stories, they were just so different (in an awesome good way) than all the other mibba stories
Oh my god this is so cool! I'm going to love this story, I can tell. All the stories you've written don't have any magic/science fiction/whatever so I'm excited to see where this goes :) It's going to be so interesting and I'm sure you'll be able to explore this mind-reading idea beautifully
