OMG. Your author's note made me cry!! Like, i have tears spilling down my face as i am typing this!! haha. Don't worry, i'm an emotional person as well and that was just wow. I don't have words to explain it.
It was a perfect ending. perfect. You're writing is unbelievable...don't ever stop. The fact that you lost your best friend while writing this story made it that much more real, you know? I'm so so sorry for your loss. I know what it feels like as well...believe me. In my class of 2010, one person passed in 6th grade, one in 9th, one in 11th and one in 12th and i knew all of them. :( it was very, very hard. and two were because of suicide....anyways just thought i'd share that with you because if you ever need anyone to talk to don't hesitate to comment me, okay :)

Now on to a brighter note...i am so happy you are writing a sequel!!!!! :) I can't wait to read the first chapter!!!! :)

aww this ended so well, you are an amazing writer I like the fact that you didn't know Alex's brother but you brought to life his situation without being vulgar or ugly about it : ) I wish you the best of luck with the sequel and I cant waaaaait until it is posted :D

that was a perfect ending! i really loved this story; one of the best alex gaskarth stories on mibba - hard to find one that really focuses on real life situations...and i loved how alex and eli 'grew' throughout the story, how their outlook on life and personalities changed.Thank you for writing! cant wait for the sequel!!

I loved this. Period. I loved Alex and Eli's "journey" together because it really reminded me of what so many of us go through with our real friends. They each helped each other out in different ways to make the other stronger. My favorite thing of this whole story was at the end of the last chapter, when they walked out of the English room together with their arms swung across each other because throughout the whole story Alex and Eli would constantly bicker, especially about writing the papers. And usuaully they left the English room fighting because they didn't want to work together, so this really showed the improved relationship and I adoored that. it was well, adorable!
I also liked the way you ended this. I'm glad they didn't get together and are friends for now (:

:( It's over :( I personally adored the ending to this story. It definitely wasn't your average 'high school love story'. I really loved the whole story.
Although I don't think it's right to write about Daniel because we did not know how Alex felt during it all, we can only imagine from what he has written in songs and because we don't know anything about Daniel or who he was as a person, I think you wrote about him very well. When all you have to go on is one song it can be hard but you did it excellently. I usually hate stories about Alex that involve Daniel in a big way but I really liked this :)

I just spent a ridiculous amount of time reading all the way up to the most recent chapter as soon as I found out about this story. It's absolutely incredible.

You are a phenomenally talented writer, and you should be more than proud of that; I know if I had that sort of skill, I'd be over the moon. I sincerely hope you understand the talent you have; a real writer has the power to take simple words and alter them until they've become something real to a reader, and I cannot tell you the emotional roller coaster I experienced while reading this. It may be just a teenage fanfiction, but this was beautiful. I can connect so deeply with what she was going through; I lost a friend a few years ago, and coping with it is hell. The story line wasn't cliche, and it wasn't "Oh, here's a girl, her brother died, she meets Alex, and they fall in love!" It was so much more than that.

Usually, I admit, I am against reading/supporting stories that mention Alex's brother, but you handled it beautifully and respectfully, and didn't dance around the subject or lessen it to something insignificant, which I appreciated.

Long story short, you have major talent, and this story is by far one of my favorites. I can't wait for the final chapter, and the sequel, because I can only imagine what genius you'll weave with the words.

This was incredibly sweet. After all the hating on each other, they're finally seeing reason to each other's existence and helping each other out :) but i can only wonder about how long these civil acts will last, my mind keeps going back to the last thing that Lisa said to Alex in the heaps early chapters of this story, and even though I'm convincing myself that I'm looking too far into things, I can't help but think that there is some serious heart breaking left to be done and then hopefully patched up in the sequel haha.

Like everyone else, I can't wait to read Alex's paper, mostly to see whether he indeed has a heart or whether he's still an asshole despite all these nice explanations to his shitty behaviour :)

Eli's paper was amazing.
Everything she said seemed true and i'm glad Alex finally opened up to her about how he felt about Daniel's death.
I'm looking forward to reading what Alex has to say about Eli. It should be interesting!

That was just amazing! It was really touching and it all came together with that one paper. All of Alex's emotions, feelings, actions, it all became clear with that one paper that Eli wrote. I loved it! I don't even have words for it, that's how amazing it is! I can't wait for the sequel!
And no problem, I really do hope your grandmother feels better! Update when you can!

Hooray, and kudos to Alex for opening up.

I totally understand about how long it would take for you to update. We all have lives outside of Mibba and your dedication to writing with all that you have going on is awe inspiring. I may still be in high school but I'm still going to have to spread my updates out really far as opposed to the nightly ones i had in the summer. But I hope you mom gets better and she's obviously really lucky to have you there taking care of her.
Now, the part of this comment that concerns the story, lol. I'm glad they finally agreed to be friends and that Alex is opening up a bit. This was a different side that we're seeing to Alex and I have to admit I like it alot better than the ass hole Alex. I loved the update and I can't wait for another one!
