I am also from New Jersey, and while I was reading this I was crying. You got everything down amazingly, the hopelessness, the confusion, the anger, everything. I was in school when they turned on CNN just after the first plane "accidentally" hit the tower. We were watching it all morning. Then the second plane hit, everything changed in a second. Everyone knew it wasn't an accident. Watching people jumping out, holding hands, hugging each other, me asking my teacher why are they jumping, shouldn't they just wait and her saying "Andrea, they are burning alive, they are going to die either way." ........yea, sorry about that, you just did a fantastic job of not under or over doing it.

I'm still kind of zoned out, but this is great. It's almost like a documentary of the forming of the band. The facts mix with the fiction make it one amazing believable ride. Can't wait to read more of this and you better believe I'm going to pester the shit out of you on twitter.

This is still so utterly (Otterly? =D) perfect. It's so in depth without ever being boring or long, and the way you go into detail with every relationship and making it so realistic and relatable is just admirable and incredible.

How you brought in Gerard's close and tight relationship with his grandma was so touching, and it makes that part so bittersweet to read, because we know he's gonna lose her.

Also, I really like the way you made Gerard's friendship with Matt so relaxed and casual. I'm not sure why, but I always imagined him as being sorta distant and cold - sorta not caring about a whole lot, but that's just me and my weird view, I know, so I really like reading your take on their initial relationship and how close they were. I really like the "manliness" between them when they talk, but then they also soften up and go a little deeper, which really tells me that they're closer than so. =)

And, of course, the hinting of Frerard is just adorable. It was so cute getting Gerard's reaction to knowing that Frank had been so worried about him. So cute! =D

So, please, update soon? So I can ramble some more? =D

I gotta be honest; I'm the kind of reader that's really eager for some frerardness on the stories... but I love that this one is taking up its time, just going from the start of all of that, just putting details in everything... it's a very pleasent reading, for me :3 really! :3
I can't wait for the next chapter; this story gives me the chills! *---*

I love this chapter. The progression is brilliant, and realistic. I don't think I've ever read a story where the bands formation has been described in this detail, it's pretty amazing when you come across something so new like this :)
    I hope you update soon

This sorty is great, I actually like more Frerard between Frank and G, being in the band, like more real (as real as Frerard can gets!hahaha) so finding this was very refreshing!!!!
I like how to put on your interpretation on things that We know it happen. The 9/11 part was like going back in time and re live all that.
I can´r wait to see how this is going to develope!!!!
    keep going !!

Aw! Thank you for thanking me! =D
I just felt I had to comment again, both to say thanks but also because I really truly love this story now. Again, eveything is so detailed that I feel like I'm living it, not just reading a story about it. You describe things so well that I understand everything you write.
When Gerard sang his song for Frank, it seemed so real. Some people just write the lyrics, but the fact that you wrote it with him stuttering and only singing so loud that it would still be considered singing is so realistic that I honestly think you're one of the best in the biz of descriptions and realistic portraits of stories.
I'm not sure if I'm making any sense here, but if I'm not, then it's simply because you leave me dumbfound. Or just dumb. Not sure which, right now...

[...] sitting directly in front of Gerard, who had one hand in his hair, and the other still clutching the neck of the guitar that balanced between his thighs.
I can so picture that. I don't even have to physically test it out this time. =D
"Sing with everything you've got, okay? Don't hold back. Sing it for the world, Gerard. Sing it for the world."
Gosh darnit! That made my heart melt and stomach tickle. And after that when they launch into the song, I was smiling so wide my lip nearly split.

You are incredible. I can't say much more than that right now. You left me dumb. =D
Thank you! Please, do spend boring hours writing more. I would greatly appreciate that. =D

This is beautiful. Seriously, I cannot believe it hasn't gotten more attention. Your writing style is so unique, and the plot is something I've been dying for someone to explore. I love how you've portrayed Frank and Gerard's developing relationship. Lovely. xoxo
