First of all, I love this story. I think Amelia should just stop playing and leave Jayson. Pft, I would've left him for Deryk in a heartbeat.

Second, I love your writing and I'm sad to hear that you're leaving. I've read both Staal stories, yours and hers, and I can say that I didn't think of your story when I was reading hers and I didn't think of hers while I was re-reading yours. I don't think they're the same at all. My point is, I don't think the plagiarism stuff is warranted. I love your writing. I haven't seen a lot of hockey, seeing as I don't have the tv channels that air it, but I think I would be hooked if I had, I like what I've seen in Olympics and national games. My point is that I don't know American hockey, so I therefore don't know the characters. Still, I adore this story, the personalities, the feeling a fan get when stepping on holy sports ground(reminds me of my love for Manchester United), the sexual tension that's so obvious that I myself can feel it. I don't care if other think plagarizing this or that, I really like your writing so I will continue reading your stories as long as they're there, and I truly hope you will shake off those idiots' messages and consider carry on posting stories here.

Okay...so I have decided that I really, really, really like Chloe. I see a lot of myself in her, as a matter of fact ;) She seems very feisty and assertive and confident, but I'm wondered if there's a lot lingering underneath that we don't know about her yet. Like maybe there's some kind of hurt in her past that she tries her best to cover up. You know what I think? I think she needs a man to come along and sweep her off her feet. Make her forget about all the bad shit. Show her that not all men are dicks. I'm sure there's someone that would fit the bill for her ;)

“Deryk Engelland...resident ruffian.” LOL I don't know why that made me giggle so much, but I could picture her with this sly grin on his face and ruffling his hair. And the description that you gave of him was absolutely delicious. Aside from the smell ;) I could see him sitting there in those tight garments hugging his muscles, sweat soaking his hair and beading on his brow. That man is walking sex. No doubt about it. And I don't blame Amelia for having those kinds of thoughts about him.

It was really really cute that Engo remembered Chloe's daughter's name. And really sweet when he replied with 'bold like her mother'. How well exactly do they know each other? There's something there. Something lingering between them that I can't quite put my finger on.

I extremely enjoyed the conversation that went on in the diner. It was the perfect way to get to know more about Amelia (her desire to be perfect...which I suspect is all Jayson's doing) and what she really wants to do with her life when she graduates, her personality and how her parents don't like her boyfriend) and get some comedic relief with Deryk's shameless flirting. I agree with him and her parents, I don't like him either. I have a huge problem with men that want nothing more than to take women and transform them into their version of the perfect spouse and make them lose all essence of themselves. Totally pisses me off. Especially the ones who say they aren't doing that and they suck the women in by telling them everything they want to hear and then totally change.

Deryk...there's something you're not telling us about Chloe. For some reason, I can't help but think things weren't that innocent.

You must tell me what the deal is with Chloe's ex husband. I must know.

Jayson is a dick. I don't want to hear any excuses about his job or anything like that. He's a dick, plain and simple. And she needs to dump the sure, secure thing and take a chance with Engo.
