The Bucket List - Comments

Okay, so I'm about to say something that will probably shock you. I don't really know anything about The Maine. I know, blaspheme! But, I will say that even though I don't know anything about them, I like this story. I had cancer in my family before, so this holds a special place in my heart. I think there's just a few grammatical errors that need to be fixed, but it's nothing serious. I really like the concept and I hope you keep up the story. And by the way, I loved his long tirade while he introduced everyone. "He has really soft hair..." Hysterical!June 13th, 2012 at 02:29am

Hey I read the first chapter and just had to comment. I love the whole concept of the story. You pulled me in with summary and this chapter just pulled me in more. I love it, and I'm excited to read more. I see a mistake here and there, and twice you said my or mine instead of hers, but other than that great writing, great job!!June 13th, 2012 at 01:43am

Hey, this story is absolutely awesome. It makes me think about my grandma who is in hospice right now and I know she isn't going to be able to see everything on her bucket list. If you can connect with me on a personal level you have a great story going. Keep it up and I can't wait to read more:)June 13th, 2012 at 01:09am

I absolutely love the concept of this story ! There's been cancer in my family before, and the idea of a bucket list comes up quite often.
There are a few spelling errors, but nothing too dramatic; if you don't already you could maybe read over your chapters before posting them? And in some places the point of view changes from third person to first. Other than that, I like it :DJune 13th, 2012 at 12:03am -
I didn't even get to read this on my own, comment swap brought me over here. Which is totally fine with me because I love Garrett, and anyone associated with The Maine. Anyway, I'm still in the middle of reading this. I absolutely love this, it's wonderful!! Now I have to go finish reading it!June 12th, 2012 at 11:19pm

one-three: Everything in each of the chapters were amazing. The descriptions were perfect; gives the reader the sense that they are there along with her. The one thing that didn't fit is that the guys were saying Mama Rissa and then in the sentence after that it was also Rissa; I thought the aunt's name was Mimi? Can't wait to read the next chapterJune 12th, 2012 at 04:28pm

Oh look, That subscribe button? I must've clicked it somewhere while reading this story so far. To be honest, I didn't think I'd handle it, but I think I can now. Her and Garrett are so sweet <3 They need more kisses, let's be honest here.
I think I might lose my shit when she dies. I'll go on a week long starvation of sadness and empty feelings. But, update soon, cause I love this <3 You should put in there Grace reading off all the things she's done so far so that I can stay on track hahaha
Also, FUCT... very good choice of cd. Fall Out Boys my favorite band so mentioning them more would be mint. :)June 12th, 2012 at 05:27am -
I will definitely be following this story. So happy comment swap referred. This is very well written, I'm not the biggest fan of the Maine but I love how everyone plays apart. I also have a bucket list and five of them are on this list. Update soon:)June 12th, 2012 at 05:02am

I really like how this is written. It sounds sad, and I really hope she doesn't die in the end. But I do love The Maine, and I've been looking for fics like this to read. Just like the reader below me, I'm glad Mibba referred me to this story.

I Love this. I felt I could picture it like it was right in front of me. I think you should consider becoming a professional author. I can't wait to read more. I'm kinda glad Mibba actually referred me to this. Hope to see more soon xoxoJune 12th, 2012 at 02:26am

comment swap;
I like the way this is written. It makes the reading go by without really feeling like I'm reading. :) It is a sad story, being about cancer, but I think you're a good storyteller. Great job! :)June 12th, 2012 at 02:02am -
I liked the way this is written. The voice is very strong and it is quite sad and I've only read the first chapter. The only thing I suggest is proofreading. Little mistakes always escape everyone. I'm not familiar with this fandom, but it didn't put me off. That's a great sign. Keep writing. :)June 12th, 2012 at 01:30am

I have... issues reading cancer stories because I lost my aunt to cancer, but I really, truly enjoyed this. I felt like I was there (sorta) like an out-of-body experience. Your words painted a picture in my head, heart and soul of how a family dealt with their daughter/sister having cancer, and its hard, you played that well enough, but it was amazing.June 12th, 2012 at 01:13am
Also not to mention this is beautifully written! Your sentences flow, and there are minimal grammatical errors. Not once did I have to wonder what you were trying to say.
All in all great job! (:
