Love it, well Gabe got off her ass....Melanie is ok thank god had a shit ton of surgery done, her body is jacked up to the point tht she can't possibly walk and she can't fucking sing no more and I hope it's just singing becuz if she can't talk no more thts even worse, and apparently Gabe is goin to find her real mother can't wait to read more update as soon as u can :)

I'm back again from my busy-ness to comment! Oh gosh... I don't know what to say. I'm not ashamed to say that I bawled... and bawled during this chapter. As soon as she said they were going to a church, I knew something bad was going to happen, but I didn't expect that. I thought that she was going to find another Jennifer Adams that wasn't her mother and she was going to realize that she can't keep searching for her mom for the rest of her life. I think she really did need this wake up call though. Other than Gabe, her mom was basically her whole life, and now she's gone, so obviously her attention going to go right back to Gabe. I could literally just imagine her sitting in that cemetery screaming at William to call Gabe. And then her trying to muster up a calm voice, shaking a little bit as she tried to make Gabe understand her. I think the tears really started rolling when she confessed that she was actually raped by her teacher. Now I understand why it must've been hard for her when that guy tried raping her in that parking lot, and getting more intimate with Gabe was probably a strange experience for her too. That experience is probably the main reason why she's so happy and why she loves life so much. It's because she knows what it's like to almost lose that privilege. Wow. You've shined so much light on Mel's story and personality with this chapter. Now, I really want to know why Gabe believes his story with Kathy is worse than if Melanie had only been hit by her teacher. Gabe makes me so mad sometimes, but I still want him to get his butt to New York already. I'm scared to see what happened to Mel. I hope she doesn't end up in a coma or get amnesia or something scary like that. I'm almost certain Gabe will come to New York if he knows that Mel got hit by a car. If he doesn't come because of that, then I'm sure he'll sit in that room of his and mope forever. I really hope Mel is ok! Thanks for updating! This is my absolute favorite story that I've ever read on Mibba, and I feel super bad when I don't get a chance to read as soon as you update, and I can't comment on each chapter. I just want you to know that I love this story to pieces, and I really appreciate that you take the time to write it, even if you're going through tough times or you have other things going on. I hope your friend's surgery goes well! :)

Oh my God. Oh my God. I can't even think right now! Poor, poor, Melanie. All she ever wanted was to find her mom, and now she finds out she may never get the chance to meet her...though are we sure that really was her mother? She'd met a few other women with the same name who ended up not being her mother, maybe this is the same case. Though I'm not sure if that would be any better, maybe it will be easier for Mel to move on this way. So heartbreaking. And the conversation with Gabe! I wasn't expecting him to be anything other than a jerk on the phone to her, but still. Every single thing he said was out of line. I love the guy and I know he's hurt by Mel's leaving but seriously, he's being selfish. And for her confession to come out under those circumstances...that's even worse. I can't wait to see what's going to happen now, and what Gabe's going to do after Mel got hit. Loved this! And good luck to your friend!! <3

btw, I would've been kind of disappointed if Gabe was nice to her during the phone call. I mean, she left for no reason, and the story doesn't go anywhere unless there's drama.
And I thought her mom was going to be a nun, and say she wanted nothing to do with her, but being dead was a great twist too! Love it!

Oh dear. Really did not expect that at all. Bravo for keeping me on my toes. It's all Gabe, now. It's all on his shoulders, and he has to choose to be the bigger man and be there for someone he's to scared to admit he loves very much. Such a wonderful story. And, sending positivity and hopes for a successful surgery and quick recovery your friend's way.

I don't it's just the fact tht a stranger gave her his number to call him for anything just creeps me out I mean before she called him she didn't kno a single thing about him so until prove innocent, which he is, he was label as a creeper, anyhoo omg Gabe I should punch u in the face u asshole like seriously dude, I just hope tht Melanie is ok and tht she didn't die u kno I wonder if this accident would make Gabe get his ass out if his room and go to New York, can't wait to read more update as soon as u can :)

Love it, even tho Alex was an idiot but he has a point u ran away Melanie when u could have just talked it out or whatever, oh and Melanie I'm sure tht Stephan is a creeper u should have just stayed ur ass at the hotel and say on the balcony, can't wait to read more update as soon as u can :)

They're both working through it the only ways they know how, but something really tells me that Gabe will be there for her in a time of crisis when no one else can be. Or maybe when no one else has anything to offer her, something that only Gabe can give her... Wishful thinking at least.

Sorry, this comment is going to be super short but I was halfway out the door when I found out you updated and I had to read it before leaving. This chapter was really cute, and yet so sad. She misses Gabe so much, it actually breaks my heart a little bit. At least she tried to call him! But that only bit her in the butt, didn't it? Still so glad she has Patrick, and soon Tori and Will! Can't wait for more! <3

Holy crap. I haven't read this story in forever! I've been so caught up in school lately that I've basically abandoned Mibba, and that means I missed these last three chapters until now! OH MY GOSH. I can't even describe how I'm feeling right now. I'm mad at Gabe. I'm mad at Melanie. I'm sad that she left. I'm sad that Gabe doesn't realize that he's hurting himself. I'm just... My feeling are all jumbled up and I'm basically frustrated. Ugh. I can't believe Melanie just decided to get up and leave without him. I understand that she's trying to move on, but there's no way she'll ever be able to get over him. There's no way she'll be able to live her life without at least thinking about him. I'm really scared about Melanie meeting her mom. I'm nervous that her mom is going to be a total bitch or something like that. I'm extremely scared for that. I love that Patrick went with her though. I'm glad that he did. She's going to need someone during that. She would have been so lost if he wasn't there. She probably would have just sat in her hotel room for a few days, staring out the window and crying about Gabe. I hope Pete and Alex get Gabe to run after Melanie. I almost guarantee that he's just going to sit and do nothing until someone talks to him and makes him go get his girl. Aye yi yi... I'm super anxious for the next chapter! Thanks for the update! :)

This comment is going to be short, so I'm sorry. But I just have to say that I seriously love the fact that Patrick is with her. Being in New York, looking for her mom, is a terrifying feat to do alone and if Gabe can't be with her (though he should be, the jerk) then Patrick is the next best thing. I just need to know what Gabe's going to do. I agree with andybernard - whatever he chooses will be a defining moment and I can't wait. Okay so this wasn't exactly a short comment but just so you know, YOU'RE KILLING ME <3

Well tht was a lovely conversation between Pete and Melanie, anyhoo Patrick got a point if she has went by herself she would have gotten lost for sure, can't wait to read more update as soon as u can :)
