Lex/Pat are great friends. I understand Lex trying to protect Vicky but Pat did the right thing. The doctor needed to know the truth. I can't wait for the next update. Don't leave us waiting for long!
I'm actually really glad Pat did what he did. Vicky is going to get great help and she might me really mad about everything, but it will all be worth it in the end. Great update! Can't wait for more!
I read this in the middle of a queue, probably not the best idea. I got up to the checker and my eyes were slightly glazed over and the fact all I just buying was ice cream probably didn't help my case. The lady said to me, "heartbreak comes and goes." Thinking I was upset from a boy but in reality it was from the update.
Such an amazing update! You never fail to amaze me. While I see where Lexi is coming from in not wanting to turn her back on Vicky, I am glad Patrick came out and spoke the truth to the doctor. As much as Lexi wants to help Vicky, there is nothing else they can do without a professional's help. I can't wait for the next update, and sequel soon :)
I really really liked and could understand this chapter. Especially from Lexi's standpoint. Vicky is her best friend and she wants what is best but she also wants to do what her friend wants. But I am so happy Pat was there because what Vicky NEEDS is what Pat did and told the doctor.
I get that Lexi is trying to do what is right for Vicky and adhere to her wishes, but right now, Vicky is in no shape to judge what is best.
Kaner is amazing as the voice of reason. He can see what Lexi cannot - that without proper treatment, Vicky is doomed. And there is a good possibility that, one way or another, she will take Lexi down with her. He can see the toll that all this has taken on Lexi and is protecting her., Because if Vicky returns to the apartment without help, the next scene that Lexi encounters maybe even more traumatic than this last one has been for her.
And this in not Lexi's fault. She is too close to the forest to see the trees - she really has no clear objectivity here. She loves Vicky and it is killing her to see Vicky in such pain. Deep down she knows what Vicky needs - she just does not want to violate Vicky's trust in her. Kaner is making her see that intensive psychiatric intervention is what Vicky needs -that Vicky will never be whole without it.
It may seem that Kaner is betraying Vicky by revealing to the Doctor what truly happened, but in actual fact he is being the friend she NEEDS. Vicky may not realize it immediately, but when she comes out on the other side of this, she will have one Patrick Timothy Kane Jr. to thank for all he has done.
Wow.... maybe this is the kind of help she needs, obviously doing it the other way wasn't getting the job done. I can't wait to see what's going to happen next. PMS
Wow, this chapter is great. Even though it makes me sad, you did a great job of capturing Vicky's breakdown. Post soon- can't wait for the next installment.
