I love love LOVE this chapter! (Speaking of which, I fucking just teared up thinking about how the first I love you will be said). Honestly, how do you write such a great story? I think it is because it is character-driven unlike other well written stories that don't manage to hold my attention. Akiva is so cool in this episode because even in third person we get into his head and understand him more. Each chapter the characters develop and in this one Ivan and Akiva's past relationship was revealed in an unexpected way. I am starting to get involved in tue mysterious Ivan and how his issues affected Akiva, thus affect his new relationship with Josh.
Addiction and anxiety seem to be fighting to overwhelm Josh. I am worried about him and the person he is becoming. He is definitely developing in botu good and bad ways.
I am so excited to keep reading :)

I agree, I quite enjoy author's notes. I understand what you mean about where to go from here. If it has any bearing, my thoughts were of how far Josh and Akiva have come not only in their relationship, but individual growth. An option you could explore would be to now move focus to the relationship between Akiva and Ronen. I say this because you have done a fantastic job of weaving this web of characters and now I think the missing piece you need is the two brothers.
Once again, you are one of the most stylisticly expressive writers I have encountered including published authors. I love this story and can't wait to see what happens next! <3

it was so cute how Akiva was trying so hard to apologize. its nice when someone develops as a human being :) meh, this book recommendation is hard. i never realized how many of my books were fantasy. The Outsiders by S.E Hinton is really amazing and super inspiring. anything by Laurie-Halse Anderson as well. if my brain is really fried i like to read Jacqueline Wilson books :P

Have you read H.B. and Gypsy by HalfJack? It's really good and lengthy but the updates are super slow. It's worth it to me though

Gah, I just can't get over how perfect this story is! I feel so bad for Akiva. ): like I just wanna give him a hug and never let him go. I mean I understand why Eleanor hates him right now, and why Josh is so mad at him, but still... Can't wait for the next update. Also, if you're looking for something to read I recommend any story by these authors (if you haven't already read their work): Unexpected., I'd.Be.Your.Tears, and polka dot perfection.
