I agree with @ Crosby'sBabyGirl, while I'm glad she's doing this, she needs to do it for herself and James, not out of some sense of Paul's self-imposed martyrdom. They ARE still married, so...if they can work it out, they should. They've both been pretty immature, though. It won't be easy. Curious to see where this goes!

Why is anyone rooting for James, no offense. Paul loves Clare, and she loves him. I totally get where Paul and Clare are coming from, but I just really hope they can resolve everything soon and be together. Permanently.

Im gonna be brutally honest here. Clare needs a reality check. Paul had to make the decision which he felt was in her interest. So Clare needs to step out of her little princess faze and grow up, start making her own (thought through) decisions. She is just putting her self in vulnerable positions, honestly she should just take time for herself and think, not get into a relationship with her husbands (arguably) best friend.

Im not saying she can't be upset over the fact that her husband cheated on her numerous times. She has every right to be vulnerable, however, getting into a relationship with Paul, again, i like Paul, but he and Clare are clearly together to show people that they were brave enough to fucking make through it regardless of peoples opinions not because they actually LOVE each other. (i mean come the fuck on, she hasn't even gone through her whole divorce process) Clare needs to figure shit out, like seriously!

in addition to this lovely comment, Clare needs to try out things between her and James for herself, not for Paul. Sometimes Clare needs to stop being a people pleaser and focus on herself.

ps. Im going for James because even though he's a douchebag, him and Clare are legit. (As I've mentioned before Paul and Clare just have this fake aura to them.)

I hope that she has the sense to know that Paul was lying. And that when she finds out that what she had between her and James died long before the divorce, she should go find him. Update again soon :) can't wait to see how the trial plays out.

James is a human being and deserves as much forgiveness as anyone else. But forgiveness in my opinion is for you not for the other person. Paul is so brave and so loving and just so amazing that he's doing this. I don't think that she actually thinks that Paul doesn't want her anymore. And she's doing this gift for Paul and I anticipate that she'll find herself doing it for her soon enough. It doesn't matter that she's his wife technically I think that they are two people who have issues and they would have to work them out regardless.
I love your stories so much, and you always keep us guessing and I feel like at the end you have to interest of all parties in mind.
I didn't see that coming in that way, I knew Paul was going to be the one to make the biggest sacrifice he's always been open and vulnerable.

James doesn't deserve her. Paul was crazy to let her go. No self respect if she goes back to James.

I think I just threw up in my mouth. James makes me sick. It's not like he cheated once and they should work through it. It was numerous times, over and over again. He is such a narcissist and will never change.

I had a feeling James would do something stupid like that and honestly Clare has every right to be upset. Paul and her are a much better fit and it would be a shame if she had second thoughts at some point.

I know that she loves Paul and that they're supposed to be together, but that would still be my reaction if James had done that to me. She loved her for most of her life and married him. She basically watched how he had acted through their marriage. It was all the more real to see it in person. And that was just a low-blow. I know that he must feel almost the same way seeing Paul and her walking in, but they had tried to ease into it. James just basically stabbed her in the back. What Clare and Paul have is more meaningful than James' more than likely one night stand. Ugh! Idk how to feel because I can still see why I love her and James and why her and Paul are so great. :[

AHHH an awesome update as always. However, I feel like James is being a total ass. I mean come on, if he REALLY loved Clare and wanted her back he wouldn't have taken a girl "home" with him. What guy does this? And let's not forget they are STILL married. I know Clare is kinda with Paul, but that was after James CHEATED on her, and long after they said those sacred vows. Ugh I can't get over him hardcore cheating on her. I'm team Paul! Paul genuinely cares about her and loves her. I mean he went all the way to SC for her!
I hope Clare will really come to her senses and be done with James once and for all! Please please update soon!
