Oh this new chapter was such a tease! I can't wait for 14 when we get to all the trial details and such. If he gets off, I'd go to his house and burn it down! He doesn't deserve to live, the sick prick!
But I think I'm getting too far ahead of myself.... New chapter, soon, please!
His approach to the police suspects is interesting. I mean, I know that he feels he would know the guilty party by just watching how they react and looking in their eyes, but honestly, if the killer is a true pyscho or even a skilled liar, he’d be able to fool Brian. He’s not trained to look for the little signs of a guilty party, so I’m hoping the guy who did isn’t very smart or deceptive.
I sincerely hope Brian realizes what he’s doing. I mean, I know he’s angry and desperate to find the man who took his child from him, but he’s digging himself into a deep hole. If this Milton character is the guilty party, then what does he plan on doing? I know he wants to beat the shit out of him, but is planning to go further and actually kill him? If not, then by taking potential evidence from the guys house means he’s unlikely to ever be prosecuted and convicted of the crime… he’s sort of shooting himself in the foot by doing what he’s doing and I can’t help but wonder why he doesn’t let the police do what they’re supposed to.
Aww, I’m sad that Emily left. Don’t get me wrong, she had every right to, considering she feels like Brian has abandoned her when she needed him the most. I know he doesn’t mean for her to feel that way, but I really think he would’ve been better off just telling her the truth. She would’ve been mad, sure… but it’s better than letting her think he’s possibly cheating on her.
Sheesh… see, now he has the evidence… but it’s tainted and useless. No prosecutor could use that to put Milton away because Brian took it from his house… his finger prints are all over it. Gah! Silly man.
Btw, I’m glad your grandmother is doing well! On to the next chapter!
