Sweet Like Sugar - Comments

I just adore this story. It's very realistic and I love that you make it humorous. There are so many slashes where it's just so depressing. I love adding humor to my stories. And I'm glad it's not so filled with smut. Sure, I love a good smut scene every now and then, but I really prefer fluff Plus nothing is going too fast. There are some stories where immediately in chapter five they're in a relationship and in love. It's moving at the perfect pace, so I really love this! I can't wait for you to update it!

I fell in love with the first chapter. It was just so realistic and I think you write Sugar's point of view excellently, like it was just so real and what I think an average boy from a small town might be thinking in his situation. I love what he thought about kissing Lia! And to be honest, I right before they did kiss, I was like, "Their chemistry is so cute. I wonder if she's going to kiss him." And then BAM, I called it. I thought it was interesting how he was thinking so critically about it, and it makes me wonder when he's going to realize that he's not straight. I love this story and think you're doing an incredible job with it. Keep up the great work!

Oh. My. God. I laughed out loud at some of the sheer wit of this story, the hilarious situations and one-liners, and I had to contain a snort when Sugar was talking with his dad in the kitchen and he brought up how he had sex with his mom, haha. I've never read a story quite like this - it's always older high school boys, but nobody really seems to want to write about a younger boy and that weird time between junior high and high school; I commend you for doing that, and hot damn, you're doing it well. Sugar is such a loveable protagonist and I lovelovelove his inner monologue and how he interacts with everybody, and on another note, there's not a single character in this story that's not likeable. You've got a smart, cute, funny, well-written story going on here, and I'm glad I saw the review on the front page of Mibba or else I might've missed it. God knows this deserves plenty more comments and recs.

The way Sugar just says "nope" and walks right out killed me. XD I loved the whole little "shoplifting" scene, and Finn and Sugar are such cuties, haha.

I haven't read a story where the protagonist is coming to terms with his sexuality in a very long time, so I'm excited to see where this goes :)
