noooo those last two chapters made my heart hurt. But I really do appreciate how realistic and mature those two are-at the same time I'm conflicted because how could they just throw that all that away! I really really hope this has a happy ending, can't wait to read what's next and great writing as always

I know real life doesn't always have happy endings, but I sure hope this story has one :)

So sad...but Amanda was right. She couldn't continue on, knowing the end was coming. I truly believe the only way she was able to deal with the whole FWB situation was that she had mentally tuned all that out, and was really living in the moment. And that was ok - until it was clear that she couldn't fool herself anymore. And that it became necessary to stop the eventual bleeding and get on with life without Danny.

But again, I appreciate how adult these two were - there were no hysterics, no anger - just sadness knowing that they were victims of their situation. No matter how much they BOTH wish things could be different.
And then again.... maybe things COULD be different.

@ kingsbatonchitown - Yes! I do plan on posting the soundtrack for download. Probably tomorrow with Chapter 22. I'm so glad you like the hodge-podge of songs.

@ FLSweet82 - I promise to take the sadness away by the end. But it's going to get worse before it gets better.

@ soupy - I agree! Where there is a will, there is a way. And Mr. Carcillo might be the one who figures that out first.

@ Jamie Benn - He's just not behaving himself. ;-)

@ Thatmom - Poor Amanda has been through a lot. And she might have to handle a little more heartache before she gets what she really wants.

That was heartbreakingly beautiful. And while they both have not admitted to the true depth of their feelings, I do commend them for being honest with each other. They are not playing games - they are just not going "all in", trying to protect their hearts from totally shattering.

They both knew that Danny moving was a distinct possibility - and that is why they did not call this a relationship.

But lets face it, no matter what they called it - fwb, casual - these two have fallen deeply for each other. And everyone around can see it. The situation sucks, but maybe they can find a way to make this work.

I mean that first part in the nicest way possible. It was very well written.

@ The Dodger - I feel like hipster Danny would be wild about vinyl and getting all these new classics in that medium. Also, who wouldn't want to get dressed up for a night out with him and then end up back in his bed? Right? ::sigh::

@ Thatmom - He is, but he's still struggling like the stubborn man he is.

@ moe16 - I have no plans for another fic yet. Life is a bit on the hectic side right now, so I'm afraid to commit to writing a fic when I'm not sure I have the time to devote to getting it done. Maybe later on this summer, though!

Love love love that Hozier album on vinyl. I just listened to my copy of it the other day. I'm glad Amanda, Danny and yourself appreciate good music as much as I do. Ugh, she's doing a pretty good job of making me insanely jealous of her. What I wouldn't give to go to a fancy ball and get dressed up before being escorted to Danny's home so he could go down on me.
I suppose I'm not the only one living vicariously through her life experiences though.
