Glad Max hasn't said anything about Jimmy. That should come from Zacky.

Max and the sage advice. That is a brother's job (sometimes). He's right, though. Zacky obviously wanted her in his life, and it's too late now to bail out because that would definitely hurt him worse.
I'm glad she had time with her family when her reality wasn't weighing so heavily on them. It was nice. And Zack is a total sweetheart for everything he does. He's a pretty selfless man.
Ohhhh boy. The awkwardness is returning in spades! I can't wait to see how she handles sharing a bed with him

Well...so far, it hasn't exactly been terrible, so there's that. Zack is doing a great job at filling in the awkward silences, and her dad seems more than happy to help. I'm glad Max caught himself before blurting out something about Jimmy. It's amazing he didn't recognize Zack, but I do know people who aren't very familiar with the members while being obsessed with the music.

Half of me wants Julie and her mom to have the conversation that is so clearly needed, but the other half wants her to have this holiday with her family and be able to pretend it's all normal.

Can't wait for the next one!

I am so glad that Zack was there for her during the family visit. So are they dating or are they just friends?

I KNEW IT! I knew he would convince her to visit her family!!!! Yes! Go Zack! I mean, I'm nervous it won't go well, but I think she needs to do this, for both her peace of mind and her family's. Hopefully, she can talk to them and make them hear her for once about how they make her feel. It's not intentional on their part, of course, but still. Maybe they can work on it a but more? Because I don't believe Zack will be enough of a distraction to keep their focus away from their ailing daughter.

And my favorite part of this entire chapter:

My cheeks grew warm as I thought about exactly what kinds of questions my family would have for Zack. “Um…how, uh. How would I, you know, introduce you?”

Zack pulled away from me, offering me a smirk. “That’s up to you. I’m pretty curious myself.”

I'm really surprised he got her to go. I can't wait to see her family's reaction to meeting Zacky.

Look, a karaoke chapter is always gonna go over well with me!
I'm glad she's even more comfortable now, especially with the physical contact. Just letting him put an arm around her is a big step.
I'm 100% with her on sappy love songs. Just. No. Not at karaoke. Not even if you are a couple. Lol.
And I LOVE Grease. Very good choice, Mr. Baker.
He's gonna kiss her soon. I know he's trying not to freak her out and have her withdraw again, but I feel like he's gonna make that move in the next few "dates," if things keep going this well. And I hope he does!

I'm really surprised she went along with Zacky. She is very shy and I just didn't think she would go along with karaoke. Proves she's letting him in though.

::sigh:: I love these two. And that whole kiss, but not a real kiss thing.... such a teaser lol. I’m absolutely loving this story and can’t wait for more.

Oh, thank goodness she actually admitted that she cares! I definitely can see things from her point of view, but if Zack is so determined to be involved with her -- even knowing how it will likely end -- then she should just let him. She tries entirely too hard to not be selfish; she deserves one iota of selfishness, at least one thing (person) to make her happy. It's gonna hurt like hell, but Zack will have the solace of knowing he was cared about and that he made someone else's life easier, for a little while.

I love the video where Johnny breaks the bottle! Mostly because you can hear Brian laughing in the van before Jimmy goes inside So cute!

Yes! She finally caved in and admitted she has feelings for Zack. I’m really happy about this . Will we get to know what she is suffering with? It sounds like it could be Cystic Fibrosis to me. I lost two friends to that awful condition about 18 years ago ... . Anyhow ... this story is brilliant and I hope you’ll be updating again soon ‘cos I need another fix!! Xxx
