Oh, and I just caught on to the pregnancy theory. THAT WOULD MAKE SENSE TOO!! Viola discovers that she's pregnant but doesn't tell Gerard, and when her parents find out they either a) lock her away until she gives birth, then send her to a mental facility and forbid anyone to go see her because she "shamed the family" or some other neo-conservative crap, or b) convince her to get an abortion, which could trigger a psychological breakdown.

There are waaay too many theories that could be right...just tell us already!! I swear I'm going to have a heart attack from all the guessing!!!

I like Lily. She seems fairly sensible, and that must be a good trait to have in a mental ward. Lotta, though...not so much.

And WTF about no one coming to visit her? What the fuckity fuck fuck? No one at all? Well then who checked her in? She's a minor, she can't check herself into a psychiatric hospital, a guardian's got to do it. But which guardian? Are her parents too busy getting divorced to go visit their only daughter? Or...

Okay, you know what, that theory actually makes sense to me. Because if her parents died, that could definitely trigger enough shock for her to become a little fucked up in the head. And Alex, being her legal guardian in the event of her parent's death, he doesn't really know her, since he's been away so long and their relationship has kind of deteriorated. I don't get the feeling that he would know how to deal with the fucked-up Viola, and so I think it's a definite possibility that he would check her into a psychiatric ward. And the amnesia? I guess it could be a side effect of all the meds she's being fed--I mean, half the shit they feed mental patients does more harm than good (I've been to psychiatric wards, they're fucking terrifying. Not nice places to visit).

But it does seem that Viola is reacting well to all of this, which makes sense, since she's been through it so many times before. Maybe her body is just so used to her mind being wiped clean that it doesn't even bother giving her extra adrenaline or anything. Makes sense.

The "warm face" is Gray, isn't it? I'm sorry, but I don't like him and you can't make me. I never trust the nice boys. (Which, come to think of it, is probably not a good romantic philosophy...but oh fucking well. I can always turn lesbian if worse comes to worse.)

I feel so bad for Viola though. You really portray her confusion really well--I mean, fuck, she's been in that mental ward for three years now, right? Even if she can't remember them. If I woke up and found out I was suddenly three years old, I would be freaking the fuck out. I'd throw a goddamn tantrum. It's surprising to me that Viola is so calm about this, but honestly, when things get so confusing you can't wrap your head around them anymore, then your basic response is to remain calm, I guess.

I could make her resist and scream and freak out but there's basically no story in that, and besides you have to remember that this kinda thing happened before so part of her is kinda familiar with the whole situation so in a strange way a little part of her knows she's safe.

But there was something in there about how she keeps forgetting how she got in the mental ward? LIke recurrent amnesia or something? What could have possibly caused that? I hope she starts remembering some shit soon, I want to know what happened! And whether Diana had something to do with it! (She had to have something to do with it, she had to.)
