I'll like to post something else, people have different taste in music and stuff and rap or rock or heck maybe even classical music(which i like) maybe someones elses escape.

You(i'm talking to the general pulbic) don't like people bashing MCR so you shouldnt bash...lil wayne or someone. You have a right to...but that doesn't mean...its right.

Each band or rap artist is someone's idol...just like Green Day is to me and MCR is to someone else. Some of them might not be all that great idol's but they are still idols. And rap isnt the only genre that talk about sex. Actually almost every genre has music about sex and stuff...but whatever.

There is good music in each genre...we as the world just has to learn how to tolerate each other's music.<---that's my main point.

well i don't really like either of the bands you say up there, but i do get what you are saying.

BUT when people do give their opinion, say 'I don't like MCR' people who do like MCR are like *GASP* how can you not like them and blah blah blah and stuff. So it goes both ways you know. I mean, people have a right to an opinion. I mean I do agree it is stupid to you know bash other bands and stuff, I'll admit I do it sometimes, like with me with rap music. But I try not to and stuff and I have gotten really good about it. But it does get on my nerves when people bash the kind of music I like and I bet when I do it gets on their nerves as well. I don't really know where I am going with this...I had a point but then I just...started rambleing. um...crap. I do agree we are too close minded about music. Me and my friend like two bands mostly. He likes Korn and I like Green Day. So he goes around and just picks fights with me about how the lead singer is a fag and stuff and so I shoot right back at him. Anyways...I am done....

I'm not a close minded person at all, but I do however hate Hanna Montanna. I think that she's influencing the mind of girls too much. I have a neice and she said that she can't eat because she wants to look like Miley Cyrus. That's not good, she's only 5 years old. Plus she doesn't write her own music and, well to be honest she can't sing that well.

it's funny and sad that people who bitch about people stereotyping THEM as a person can sometimes turn right around and stereotype music. for example, the rap thing. they hear rap music on the radio, on some top 40 station and it's about sex and whores and money. then they go, UGH, RAP SUCKS. but there is meaningful rap out there too. like linkin park, they rap in some of their songs. and atmosphere are good meaningful rappers too. and it's not just rap music.

    i agree.
the only artists i can't stand are rappers.
because i hate the messag they send.
it is almsot ALWAYS about naked woman and sex.
of which i find to be not good music at all.
other than that, i respect every other type of music.

Koffin Kat is right. I mean seriously, at least my chemical romance writes music that means something and make people thing. The songs Koffin Kat pointed out are prefect examples of pointless music....

Hehe I like the person before me's comment :)
But in my opinion, if people are gonna bash on music, at least not bash on the inspirational bands/songs. Seriously, a 2 or 3 minute song about lipgloss is just... ew *shudders*
    Oh, and very well written.

I'll be the first to admit that when it comes to music, I'm an Elitist; I like what I like and I don't go far past those boundaries. Fact of the matter is, I'm not going to listen to anything I can't get something out of. Tell me how I can gain ANYTHING creative or inspiring out of a mockery of music like 'Fergalicious', 'SOS', 'This is Why I'm Hot' or 'Ms New Booty' and I'll call you a liar to your motherfucking face.

i think its good that you included pop artists such as Miley Cyrus. People do bash on them as much as others bash on rock bands like MCR.

    Exactly!
You may not listen to or like music from another artist, but that does not mean they are untalented or that they deserve harsh insults.
Can't we all get along? XD

    A person's a person, right?

Music is music, no matter how much we think it sucks. Someone else likes it, so just shut your trap.

yeah, the only people I know who use terms like "emo" and "scene" are the ones who don't even know what the fuck they're talking about.
