Ahaha, I have to agree with kaHt with "Maybe we should shove Patrick, Joe, Andy and Pete in a cabin for a while to rekindle their friendships - like P!ATD and when they went up to that cabin to make Pretty. Odd."

In the end, it's Pete's decision. We can't force him to stay with anything. You have to remember that he just had a kid how long ago. I'm pretty sure that changed his perspectives in some ways and others.
How the boys of the band handle their lives are totally up to them. You can be a true fan and be there for whatever they decide on, or you can turn your back on them for "ruining your favorite band". Either way, it won't matter 100% what you think because it's their lives. Not yours.

They just need some time to bond again...

It just proves, that once your band releases a Greatest Hits album... it's all down hill from there.

    Oh my...
I am such a big fan of FOB.
I didn't know about any of their side preojects, or... this!
    It's terrible.
I can't believe so many good things are coming to an end lately, but still, I can see where Pete is coming from.
Everyone has called FOB "sell-outs" and although I never agreed with them, I knew that things had changed a lit bit somewhere along.
This is just the outcome of that, and it is very sad.

I can't believe it, but somehow I knew it would come soon. Pete has a family now and stuff. I'll surely miss them though. And I never got to see them in concert.

    @Peter Pan

Patrick is currently working on a solo album. He's producing, writing, composing, and playing all instruments on it.

    Aw shit!
Well, I was lucky enough to seem em' twice and I got to meet Pete the first time.
If FOB break up I understand, but I'm really gonna miss hearing Patrick's voice. His voice is probably one of the most beautiful and soulful around.

    Sing on boy, sing on!

    That's just awful.
The whole label that is Decaydance just seems to be falling apart lately. Seeing this news had me crying. But maybe it was best. FOB hadn't looked happy lately, maybe Pete leaving was just best.

But it's till very tragic news to hear.

    This just crushed me.
Fall Out Boy has been a huge part of my life in the past 4 or 5 years. They've helped me get through a lot.
Pete was never my favorite, but with out him the band will never be the same.
Hopefuly, even if Pete does leave, they all find a way to work things out.
But, if they don't, they've given us some amazing music.

Finally! I mean, they were a pretty good band, but you could tell they just weren't happy... Plus I never liked Pete. I think I'll be following the others if they decide to continue playing music - whether in FOB or in different bands.

Aw...man, FOB made seventh grade for me. This calls for repeated listening of Take This To Your Grave.

PATD isn't done per say, but the severing of the band is very similar to this case. It was the end of Panic as we knew them.

It's been like hit after hit with my favorite bands parting ways. First Panic! At The Disco, then Cinema Bizarre, and now Fall Out Boy. How many more can the music industry throw at us before we just lose hope? I'm not sure about you, but these break-ups are definitely taking on a hit on my music playlist. As for the other bands, stay strong!

Holy crap. But I thought P!ATD wasn't done yet. Ross and Walker left but Brendan Urie and Spencer Smith were going to keep it going?

If you read what I citied as sourced, I didn't cite a magazine article. I cited things Pete actually said.
